You will get the chance to be face to face with his royal mummy in his tomb in the Valley of the Kings

  3. Tomb of Ramses III
    15 minute

The tomb of Ramesses III, designated as KV 11, is a complex system in the Valley of the Kings. It has been known since antiquity, the wonderful decorations include colourful painted sunken reliefs featuring the traditional ritual texts (Litany of Ra, Book of Gates etc) and Ramses before the gods. Unusual here are the secular scenes, in the small side rooms of the entrance corridor, showing foreign tributes, such as highly detailed pottery imported from the Aegean, the royal armoury, boats and, in the last of these side chambers, the blind harpists that gave the tomb one of its alternative names: ‘Tomb of the Harpers’

  4. Tomb of Merenptah
    15 minute

In Egyptian mythology, Ptah is the demiurge of Memphis, god of craftsmen and architects. In the or simply in its falcon form of the new deity, began to be placed in tombs to accompany and protect the dead on their journey to the West of Luxor .Tomb 8, which is located in the Valley of the Kings, was the burial place of the Pharaoh Merneptah and is the model of royal tombs Merneptah was a son of Ramesses II and Queen Isis-Nofret.the tomb was discovered by Howard Carter in 1903. Of coursethere is a material decrease in the number of lateral rooms, and a dramatic increase in the height of the corridors and rooms. He did away with the jogged axis used since the time of Horemheb and instead built the entire tomb on a single axis. Also, for the first time, the entrance was made considerably wider than earlier tombs .

  5. Tomb of Ramses IV
    25 de minute

The tomb of Ramses IV (KV 2) in the Valley of the Kings is rather different than most other tombs built here. This tomb is by far the most spectacular of the other tombs you will see. The hieroglyphics on the wall depict scenes from the Litany of Ra, Book of the Dead, Book of Caverns, the Book of the Heavens, Book of Amduat, and the Book of the Night. The blue and white colors on the walls inside the burial chamber are very vibrant and you can see the king's sarcophagus made of rose-colored granite. There is also a beautiful scene of goddess Nut on the ceiling, where she is depicted swallowing the sun, and it traveling through her stomach, for Nut to give birth to it. The tomb has so much colour and detail even the ceiling above the sarcophagi with its goddess Nut stretching across the space. The sarcophagus is one of the largest in the valley, even though some of the paintings have deteriorated this is one of the most decorated.

Amazing tour (with Abdul)!

I cannot emphasize enough how wonderful this tour was—and it was all made possible by Abdul, our guide. Calling him a “guide” is really underselling it. Abdul lives and breathes Egyptian history and has been guiding for over 20 years (you don’t make it that long without being a master at your craft). He was by far the best tour guide we had in Egypt. I wish we could have taken him everywhere. Abdul speaks perfectly fluent English which allowed us to really just focus on the sites and experience. His passion, knowledge, and impressive social awareness really made our tour unforgettable. Thank you, Abdul! As for the tour, I have all good things to say as well. It was well organized, seamless, and touched on all the major (ancient) attractions in Luxor. Unequivocally, I would recommend this tour. Lunch was fantastic also!

Great private guide for Luxo

We had a great day in Luxor with Hassan as our tour guide. He was on time, adaptable to our plans and had a wealth of knowledge about the many sites we visited today. Our day was really well planned and Hassan made sure we were comfortable and taken care of. Thank you Hassan for making our first trip to Luxor such a pleasure.

Luxor in a day

It was a day to get to know Luxor all over again! We didn't have much time to spend, so we opted for a one-day tour. We made additional Reservations for balloons and it was a really nice time. We leave at 4am, but I definitely recommend it. I think this is a great opportunity to see the Valley of the Kings in the morning sun from above. You will then see the main ruins as you drive around. We go to Pahilus and Stone shops on the way, but it's quite expensive from the market, so good luck negotiating the price. It was hot and hard in the middle of summer, but it was fun!

An amazing day in Luxor

A great experience visiting the main tourist attractions of Luxor. The guide was very friendly and attentive. I really liked his way of explaining the history of the places we saw and he took us to a restaurant where the food was very delicious. I highly recommend this activity.

BOOK THIS TOUR!!!

BEST TOUR EXPERIENCE EVER! Great thanks to our guide - Khalid. Don’t know where to start… but time in Luxor was more than I expected and willing to visit again here. Khalid made our time as special. He is professional and knowledgeable about Egyptian history and passionate/kind to us all the time. If we were without him, we could have just seen and surpassed meaningful sites with no learnings. Plus, he is also very talented for photography - took amazing photos of us and showed great spots for photos. Also important; Unlike other tour guides, he escorted us not to go tourist traps and didn’t take us souvenir shops. Thank you again Khalid and hope to see you again soon.

Khaled, best tour guide you could ever wish for!

My friend and I were guided by Khaled during today's tour. Khaled told us the history of Egypt and the temples and tombs in Luxor, while explaining to us the etymology of the words like Luxor, Egypt, Pyramid and so on to help us better understand. He also taught us many facts about the temples, such as what purpose the obelisks had, what technique the ancient Egyptians used to move such heavy stones and build such large buildings. We also learned how to read some hieroglyphic symbols such as sa (bird) ra (sun) which meant a royal family. Plus, Khaled planned the tour in a way, so that the big tourist groups were arriving when we were leaving. A bigger plus was that he is also an excellent photographer! Another thing we appreciated a lot was that he did not bring us to any vendors or shops that were not in the itinerary. All in all, I feel like I couldn't have asked for any better guide. Thank you for showing us Luxor today and I hope this review helps others to book a tour with you!

Excellent tour guide

Ragab was such an excellent tour guide! He had extensive knowledge of all the sights we visited, and kindly took lots of great photos for us. Our driver was equally as courteous and kind. I highly recommend this tour company and please request Ragab for your guide in Luxor!
