We had such a great day in Luxor.
Laila was our guide for our time in Luxor and she was brilliant. Her passion, kindness and expertise really did shine.
We had the right amount of time at all the sights that we visited which included in-depth knowledge shared from our guide and free time to roam independently to take photos and take in the surroundings.
Even though it was a long day with lots to squeeze in... it was all worth it and we highly recommend this trip 👌 .

Luxor day trip
Firstly, for such a long drive the transport was below par, very run down minibus with hardly any space unless you're in the front row - that's if one of the drivers doesn't recline his seat all the way back (which he done). We would have expected a higher level of vehicle. As for the drivers, one was very rude (the one reclining the seat all the way back), he ignored everyone and drove very recklessly. The other drive seemed to be very nice and pleasant at first, but then made my daughter feel very uncomfortable around him because of him being over familiar and making jokes about taking her to live with him and leaving me, the mother, in Luxor stranded. This made us feel very uneasy and uncomfortable due to how persistent the "joking" was. The trip down the Nile was pleasant. When we arrived at the restaurant, where they sat us all, it smelt like a toilet. The food was disgusting, gross and cold, but the waiting staff was very nice.
The highlight of the whole trip was our tour guide, Laila. Her passion for her culture and history was admirable and her English was phenomenal. She has a way of bringing the history to life and keeps you engaged throughout the tour. Even while driving she is explaining and pointing out monuments that are influential to the story she is telling. She is truly a lovely woman and it was a joy having her as a guide. Without her, the trip wouldn't be even a fraction as good as it was with her. She is such a kind woman and put us all at ease.
Overall, my star rating is: 1 star for the vehicle. 0 stars for the drivers. 0 stars for the food. 5+ stars for Laila the guide. Without her, the whole experience would have been horrendous.
Recommending this trip is a hard one for me, I would definitely recommend it if you got the same tour guide as we had or someone with her passion, then and only then would I recommend it, so on these ground I would recommend this trip

Phenomenal private day tour
We did a full day private tour with the amazing guide Laila! We started at Karnak temple before a beautiful private Nile trip - followed by the amazing Valley of the Kings! Laila was so friendly, so kind to us all and took my boys under her wing! She’s very passionate, very knowledgeable and just a pleasure to have with you during your holiday, experiencing such a magical day! Her English is also exemplary! The communication from Book Tour Egypt was exceptional - as were their vehicles and quality of service and value for money! Would recommend to anyone, 100%!

My husband and I relied on this agency to make the visit to luxor from Marsa Alam and I must say that we were super satisfied with all their assistance! they always wrote to me in Italian giving me all the information I asked for with the utmost kindness and professionalism! the drivers who picked us up from the hotel kind and reliable, an organized and comfortable bus trip! we left a piece of heart to our guide Giuseppe who made us live an extraordinary trip through the beauties of luxor, told us many curiosities and organized the tour respecting the schedules but without leaving out any details of the sites that accompanied us to see, anyone will be lucky enough to know this wonderful guide I have no doubt that he will be super happy of the experience lived in Egypt!

Temples, tombs & the history of Egypt.. Shame about the bus ride....
Firstly our tour guide Lila was exceptional and gave us such an enjoyable and informative experience visiting these historical Egyptian sites. The optional boat trip on the Nile ( not really optional otherwise you sit on a hot bus) was relaxing and provided relief from the sometimes intense heat.
The 4 hour bus ride each way from Hurghada to Luxor and back was the opposite experience.....Being a non smoker all my life to be indescriminatly exposed to an Egyptian chain smoker sitting at the front of the bus whose only role seem to be looking after the list of people on the bus. By the time we got back to our hotel our eyes were stinging. Egyptian law supposedly prohibites smoking in public transport - seems tourists on buses are not included.
