We were lucky enough to get Nahed as our guide again for the Saqqara and Dahshur pyramids and Memphis. She did another great job explaining the full cycle from these early pyramids to the Giza pyramids. She handled everything well and really knows so much about the monuments and the monument builders. As a bonus, it is so refreshing to get a woman's viewpoint on things in a male dominated country. Truly enjoyable.

I had Sayed Mahmoud as my guide for the second day and I couldn’t be happier - very knowledgeable, accommodating, and professional. He tries his best to give you an authentic Egyptian experience and I would recommend him for any tours in Cairo. I also had Ashraf Kranshy as the driver and was surprised by how professional he was and how safely he drove. I’ve met many drivers in Cairo but he was by far the best driver I’ve had. When you book a tour make sure you ask for both of them. They make a great combo!

We love the visit with mamdouh, very inviting he has very good advice to visit Egypt. We learned a lot about ancient Egypt and even modern Egypt. Our guide knew his story at his fingertips and knew how to answer all our questions and even more. The restaurant we stopped at was just perfect. We have taste local dates and small pastries. The visit far exceeded our expectations. Thanks also to amad khatab the driver who was always waiting for us in the right place at the right time. Perfect day, largely thanks to the guide but also obviously to the site we saw.

My husband and I did this tour in Sept 22, and it was excellent. They arrived at the agreed time, the car was clean and the driver was careful. Hussain was very knowledgeable and friendly, told us a lot about Egypt, Cairo and the sights we were visiting. He offered a few stops but wasn’t pushy at all when we declined (we know some guides put unnecessary shopping stops on your route). We can’t recommend this enough!

We went to Sakkara first and had the option to pay extra (300 EL or $15 USD) to go into underground tunnels and into a couple of tombs. This was totally worth it. Unfortunately we didn’t even stop for a quick picture of the step pyramid (which is why we came here). Then onto dahshur pyramids. We had the option to take the tunnel inside one of them but the guide said it would take 50min (stairs, small tunnel, more stairs, more tunnels then back)and adviced us against it so we just looked in the opening and left. Then onto Memphis. We seen Ramses statue and sphinx here and then onto lunch. We had to buy our own drinks at lunch. The vegetarian dish was spaghetti and French fries. I thought we were done after lunch because that is all that is listed Viator itenerary but no. We were taken to an essential oil/perfume place for high pressure sales pitch for over priced product. Just you and the sales person in the back of their shop where they make you feel like a bad person or guilty for not buying from them. The price they gave us was not what they said at check out (it doubled!) and they blamed it on taxes. It felt like a scam. Then they wanted to take us to 2 more shops for more high pressure buying (papyrus and carpet), but I asked to go back to the hotel. We finally got back to our hotel at 4pm. The morning was good but be aware about the afternoon, that is why I gave 3 stars instead of 5. I would take this tour again but with a different company.
