Magic Carpet Black and White Desert for two days and nights - recommended!
We took a two-day night trip to Magic Carpet’s Black and White Desert, our favorite and most memorable trip in Egypt.
Tour guide Ahmed was very professional, warm and attentive, from shuttle, arranging sightseeing to the desert, he handled every detail well, so we could enjoy the whole trip with confidence.
The black desert is spectacular and mysterious, the crystal mountain is filled with natural gemstones, and the white desert is more like walking into another planet.
Staying in the desert in the evening, Ahmed and the team prepared a delicious barbecue for us, and a hot tea bubble allowed us to relax under the sky. The desert night without harm is really beautiful, full of stars clear enough to let people sleep.
During this journey, we also met two Korean travelers and a Japanese traveler to chat and see the stars together, making this trip more of a warmth and fun.
Overall, the arrangement of Magic Carpet was very careful, coupled with Ahmed’s patient explanation and care, making this black and white desert trip beyond our expectations and one of the best memories of our trip to Egypt.

Desert Tour with Mahmoud – Absolutely Incredible!
We had an unforgettable experience in the desert with Mahmoud. He took us through every part of the desert — the Black Desert, the Crystal Desert, the Mushroom formations, and many more beautiful spots. His knowledge of the area and his driving skills made us feel safe and excited throughout the entire journey.
The place where we camped was extremely peaceful, and Mahmoud had prepared everything with great care. The camp was clean, comfortable, and beautifully set up. We ate, drank, relaxed, and enjoyed the silence of the desert under the stars. He even made a warm fire for us, which created the perfect atmosphere.
Mahmoud is friendly, attentive, and truly passionate about what he does. He made sure we were always comfortable and enjoying ourselves. Every detail was thought out, and the whole experience felt personalized and genuine.
Everything was absolutely perfect — highly recommended to anyone visiting Egypt!
We would definitely do it again!

A special experience
We had a fantastic time! An authentic experience in the desert under the stars. Mohammed had foreseen everything and gave us a unique experience. Just get a jacketola together because the night gets cold!

Long journey but experience to recommend
Departure at 6am by van (last hotel for pick-up). Arrival at 10:30 am at the meeting point with meals and tea, (last stop with toilet). Departure of the excursion in 4x4 at 1pm with 5 stops: black desert, hot spring, white desert, sandboard and old white desert. Arrival at 16:30 on the camp in the middle of the white desert. The tents were already waiting for us. Sunset and sunrise. Hearty and tasty meals, tea, grilled chamallows and chicha. Overnight in small tents on deckchair cushions (very hard to sleep) and in soft and warm downs (no toilet). Forget about European comfort for one night. The rest is magical and we forget about the hours we drive. Departure the next day at 8:30 am for a desert safari for 1 hour then return. Arrival in Cairo around 4/5pm.

Excellent experience
Excellent trip overall! The kids were kind, kind and with an appetite to satisfy us. Magical off-road trails through the desert and the sandholes. A great experience the stay in the middle of the white desert and maybe the best food I have eaten so far in Egypt!

An amazing experience at the White desert! ✨
Our safari was an absolutely magical experience. The landscapes were breathtaking, and the safari team was truly exceptional. We went sandboarding, drifted through the dunes, and in the evening we relaxed under the beautiful night sky together with the safari team. The jeep rides were incredible, and the food was delicious and very clean. We spent two perfect days in the desert — an experience we will never forget!

Experience life in the desert
Sami and Mohammed were very good and 6 strangers of different ages made us a party and we had a great time. Nice swim in the wilderness, good food and sleep in the wilderness staring at the stars
