Amazing 2nd day in Cairo with amazing tour guide and driver! Our driver Sadek was super friendly and safe and kept us on a great schedule. Our guide Ahmed Mahmoud was fantastic! He listened to our every need and was very respectful and knowledgeable which made the whole day fantastic. Seeing the bent, red and step pyramids was a once in a lifetime experience that we won’t forget!

Good value for both cruise and tour, capturing key sights and highlights of Ancient Egypt along the Nile River. Cruise facilities were clean and service was good. Our guide Ahmed Hamed was outstanding - knowledgeable, informative and friendly. He communicated with us in advance through WhatsApp and picked us up on time. We spent our entire tour time at many sites at Saqqara; this was my choice to modify the itinerary. Ahmed showed us all the highlights at Saqqara, explaining the history and importance along the way. We visited several tombs with wonderful wall carvings and paintings, yet very few tourists were there. We really enjoyed this in depth experience. After the several hour tour, we made a brief visit to a local carpet weaving shop. The trip concluded with a nice lunch at a local restaurant, then returned to our hotel. Ahmed suggested several tasty items. This is a full day excursion so be prepared to walk. Highly recommended.

Do not miss the opportunity to visit and enter the Dahshur Pyramids. Our guide recommended that we se these pyramids first before heading to Memphis, and then on to Saqqara. It was an incredible experience to climb down into the tomb complex of the Red Pyramid and then the Bent Pyramid, which was the most challenging. The statue of the Colossus of Ramses II in Memphis was impressive, but otherwise the stop at Memphis was quite disappointing. By the time we got to Saqqara we were starting to run out of steam, which meant the Step Pyramid probably didn't get the attention it deserved. Last stop on the tour was a meal in the city to have our first taste of Koshari. Delicious. The car picked us up on time at the hotel. We then picked up the guide about 30 minutes later on the way out of the city. The vehicle was a four-seater Honda saloon. The AC was functional, although the driver did seem reluctant to turn it all the way up. Our tour guide was friendly enough. He gave us a 5-minute introduction to each site and then left us to explore. This approach seemed ideal when we started at the pyramids at Dahshur because the focus was on climbing down into the tomb complex. But at Memphis and pyramids at Saqqara, when he explained that he "wasn't permitted" to accompany us around the sites, my cynicism kicked in, and I felt that perhaps we weren't getting the best service. Although we covered a lot of ground, given that it cost £150 for the two of us for a half-day, I'm not convinced that we got the best value for money. That said, I have no regrets because the experience, particularly of the Dahshur Pyramids, is one that I will never forget.

Wael provided a highly informative overview of Egypt’s earliest pyramids. He thoughtfully answered my questions and provided ample time for photographs. I especially appreciate Wael supplying lots bottled water to keep me hydrated in the hot sun. I also want to acknowledge Ali for his excellent driving skills. Overall a great tour!

Excellent private day tour of Saqqara! Hussam and the driver picked me up from the hotel right on time to start the day. The car was clean and water provided. Hussam was a great tour guide and knowledgeable of not only the sites but the areas of the cities we drove through. Hussam answered all my questions and also provided enough time at each site to explore on my own. Trip ended with an unexpected stop to see how papyrus scrolls were made with no pressure to buy any souvenirs. Highly recommend Hussam for a tour of Saqqara.

An amazing day covering 5000 years of history brought to life by our wonderful guide, Ahmed. Difficult to put into words how good this experience actually is. Stunning pyramids (obviously including the Great Pyramid and Sphinx) in an incredible setting but Ahmed’s knowledge and explanations made the trip very special. And a great local lunch too. Excellent value for money for a private tour.

Great visit to three sets of ruins. Saqqara best for mastabas and glyphs. Climbing up and firm the Red and Bent pyramids was exhausting but absolutely awesome! Hussain was very knowledgeable, kind and funny. Go the beef schwarma for lunch. Amazing!
