The ship was average. The stuff was very good, saw to our every need. The tour guide was satisfactory. He could have been more informative. At certain points I ended up listening to other guides. He did not give us much time to take pics. The whole experience was good but change the guide

One of the Best Tours ever!
We just finished our 4 days/3 nights cruise from Aswan to Luxor, booked through Egypt Unlimited Tours and just had one of the most perfect and seamless experiences- and we travel quite a bit and know the difference. First of all, we had no idea which ship will be assigned, I was a bit nervous, but lo! We ended up on a newly refurbished, luxurious ship in upgraded deluxe cabins (The Medea)- the food was a-mazing ( again we are a bit picky), in fact we overate- the variety for every diet and quality of ingredients, preparation were on the higher end. Everything new and spotless, service excellent and dining room staff (everyone really) super warm and welcoming at every meal. All the vehicles used on our Tours were in new like- clean and higher end condition. I highly recommend pitching- in a little extra on this tour compared to less expensive cruises I noticed while booking- having seen the older other ships, older fixtures, a bit darker, etc. I could not imagine paying more and receiving a better quality trip or accommodation if we did as well. I also highly recommend selecting the private tour option: you get so much more flexibility and the guide really tailors the visits to your preferences- you can come and go instead of waiting on others, and in this heat, sometimes crowded sites, etc. It really pays off again in terms of experience. I heard complaints from other colleagues of guides’ lack of English skills, etc. , however Egypt Tours Unlimited matched us with a qualified Egyptologist, Mohamed- shout out to him for such an amazing 4 days! He was always perfectly on time and perfectly well acquainted with all the car, tour, horse carriage, small boat or golf cart operators we hopped on and off during our visits, to say nothing of the sites we visited. He both kept us on time while giving us as much flexibility to visit on our own after his initial historical and logistical introductions. The depth of his knowledge of the Egyptian history, temples, gods, religion, etc. Was prodigious and kept us entertained/ we learned a lot! We had no idea what we were getting into when we booked this trip, and could not be more grateful and pleasantly surprised for such an amazing, high quality/ luxurious experience - Thank you- Thank you- Thank you ( my 14 year’ hold says not enough Thank yous!) !!!!

Fantastic boat, staff, food, and tour guide!
We had a magical trip with Ahmed and this cruise. The boat was beautiful, the beds were super comfortable, the food was delicious, and the staff were wonderful. We had Ahmed as our tour guide and he was fantastic. A true Egyptologist with knowledge and patience enough to answer our many questions and always a laugh or smile. He took wonderful care of our family of four and made it truly a memorable adventure. Thank you Ahmed and team.

Truly memorable Nile trip with guided visits to incredible ancient Egyptian sites
I (62 year old mum) did this trip with my son who is studying in Cairo so we could spend time together and see some of the ancient sites. The Nile Cruise was extremely comfortable (on the Sonesta Star Goddess) with good food and charming helpful staff. We had a private Egyptologist guide, Hassan, who took care of planning and logistics (tickets, boats and car transfers) for the temple visits. This allowed us to relax and make the most of the spectacular ancient sites. Hassan taught us about the history and cultures of thousands of years of ancient civilisations. After 3 days we were able to decode some of the hieroglyphs and understood the pharaonic dynasties and gods. He also factored in free time for us at each site so we could wander and enjoy at our own pace. This was much appreciated and we would recommend Hassan and this trip.

Truly a once in a lifetime trip
Truly spectacular nile cruise with impeccable service from start to finish. We've been on many caribbean cruises, but the service on the Nile was nearly perfect. The attentiveness of the wait staff and the cabin steward were tremendous. Our private egyptologist (Ahmed Salama) was also wonderful. He adapted the level of detail and the approach to visit each of the historic sites to match our desires, and the education we received truly made this a once in a lifetime trip for us. I would can't say if a lower priced trip would have had the same results, but for us the cost was well worth it.

Great organisation and lovely people
My mum and I had Hassan as our tour guide for the Nile cruise from Aswan to Luxor and it was a wonderful few days. He is very knowledgeable about Egypt and its history and we learnt lots from him and from the tours he carefully provided around the temples and sites. Aside from the experience being very comfortable with excellent accommodation and food on the boat as well as comfortable transport between the sites, we had the benefit of Hassan’s planning that helped us avoid the crowds and enjoy the temples at the best times of day. A highlight was Luxor temple by evening when it was less hot, an extraordinary place. Thank you to Egypt unlimited, would recommend to all.

No lo recomiendo
Reservamos el crucero por el Nilo partiendo desde Aswan con llegada a Luxor del 5-8 de marzo con guía en español. Nos fueron a recoger al aeropuerto sobre las 8:00am y desde ahí se comenzaban directamente las visitas. Algo que no nos gustó fue que no teníamos ningún planning antes de la llegada, con lo que no sabíamos si íbamos directamente al crucero a descansar o si íbamos directamente a realizar visitas. El crucero fue La Fayan II. Íbamos con expectativas bajas por los comentarios que habíamos leído y la verdad que nos sorprendió favorablemente. La tripulación superatenta, la comida variada y buena, habitación con espacio suficiente y cubierta agradable. Lo único negativo que se puede decir con respecto al crucero es la desinformación, ya que tenias que estar preguntando los horarios de desayuno y actividades del dia siguiente porque no los tenias disponibles en ninguna parte, aunque por lo que hemos leido en todos los cruceros ocurre lo mismo. Nuestra guía en Aswan fue Fatma, una mujer muy agradable pero que no dominaba muy bien el español, por lo que entenderla se hacía complicado. Además, su tono de voz era excesivamente bajo y pese a que le pedimos en numerosas ocasiones que alzara la voz, continuaba igual. Muchas veces escuchábamos más la explicación de otros guías que la de ella, por lo que al final ya optamos por visitar el templo por nuestra cuenta y pedirle que nos esperara en algún punto inicial. Además, muchas veces se olvidaba de las cosas y tenía que tomarse 15 segundos para “pensar” la historia que iba a contar. Nuestra guía en Luxor fue Mouna. Dominaba bien el español pero tenía un acento muy marcado y hablaba excesivamente rápido por lo que a veces costaba seguirle el ritmo. Queríamos quedar con ella a las 7:30-8:00am por la mañana del último día para empezar la excursión temprano y poder aprovechar el día (los templos abren a las 7:00am y ese día teníamos que visitar 4 lugares, saliendo el vuelo por la tarde a las 18:40pm), pero nos dijo que eso era demasiado temprano, que mejor a las 8:30am. A las 8:30am nos recogió el conductor y fuimos a buscarla, pero no apareció hasta las 8:45am. Al final del día en el último templo le dijimos que nuestra idea era finalizar sobre las 15:15-15:30pm para poder verlos con calma. Nos dijo que ella a las 14:45pm tenía cita con el médico que no podía, pero que el conductor nos esperaba para llevarnos al aeropuerto, y en ese momento nos pidió “cariño” (la propina). En fin, que nosotros NO recomendamos este tour. Nos hemos gastado 580€ por persona por un crucero con guía de habla hispana esperando una calidad que justificase ese precio en comparación con otros tours que se ofrecían con precios más económicos.

Super!
Wir hatten einem privaten Reiseführer gebucht , was genau richtig war . Moshin hat sich viel Zeit genommen und wenn wir früher gehen wollten , so war das auch kein Problem . Wir wurden vom Flughafen direkt am Eingang zum Kofferband in Empfang genommen und sind die ganze Zeit mit einem luxuriösen Minivan herunterfahren worden. Kann man nur empfehlen. Die extra Tour ins nubische Dorf hat sich schon allein wegen der tollen Bootsfahrt den Nil hoch , gelohnt . Landschaftlich ein Traum ! Unser Schiff hätte zwar etwas neuer und moderner sein können , das Personal war jedoch top und das Essen war auch gut . Alles in allem ein tolles Erlebnis !!!

Book for Egyptian history and a good time
We had a magical experience with Egypt Unlimited Tours. Ahmed, the tour administrator, was waiting for us as soon as we stepped off the airplane and introduced us to our guide Mohamed. We had a great time with Mohamed. He took care of everything during our time. He is very knowledgable about all Egyptian history and was a charismatic story teller. We couldn’t stop laughing the entire trip. We left Egypt richer with a new friend and deeper understand of Egyptian history. If you’re looking for a guide to give you the best Egyptian experience look no further.
