Had an awesome tour to Luxor visiting the valley of the kings and many other Egyptian places with our tour guide; Hares. He was very kind and had a lot of knowledge about the history of Luxor. I would highly recommend doing this tour if you visit Egypt. 100000% amazing!!!

We spent two days between Valley of the Kings and Luxor, starting from Marsa Alam. Despite the 5 hours of travel needed, we had the excellent driver Mamdouh who took us to our destination by car cool. We then reached our local guide Hares who speaks perfect Italian and who accompanied us during these two days and who told us the story related to everything we saw. We were also able, thanks to him, to have lunch and dinner in characteristic places and frequented by other Egyptians, also always available. We had no problems of any kind and we could see how much these areas are manned by local police so we advise everyone to come without worrying about dangerous situations. Alexandra and Alexander

we had a very nice (long) day; departure at 4.30am to our hotel (Coraya bay) and arrival around 10am in Luxor - good driver. in Luxor we had a very good guide (Ahmed) who spoke fluent Dutch and gave very interesting tips (eg he even told us how much we could pay to go to the toilet) had a nice (but short about 1 hour) tour in Karnac and then made the crossing with a boat to the other bank where our restaurant was (note the per boat is not included in the price - we paid 40 euros for 4 people but did have the boat for us alone Food was good but had to go fast Then to the royal tombs (for us the best of the day Ramses IV, IX and VIII have done, really beautiful Then to the temple hatshepsut and still to the shop where they make figurines in stone, we did get a drink but you still feel obliged to buy something (our guide kept a low profile and he certainly did not force you, but since you are inside, you can not buy anything further, 2 small scarbees bought for 20 €, 1 of which was already broken during our trip - we would not do this again Then to the colossi of memnon where there was still time for some pictures (the guide took several pictures of us 4 during the day, was also nice) Then the guide got off and drove back to our hotel from 4.30pm to around 9.30pm (or picked up a 2nd driver halfway Everything went very smoothly and very correct agreements

Booked online, paid small deposit Departure at 5.00 am from the resort, challenging journey of about 5 hours, but with a couple of stops, so feasible Welcomed in Luxor by Hares, a highly trained Egyptologist who speaks perfect Italian Beautiful place, very exciting and well illustrated by our guide After a couple of hours in Karnak, we cross the Nile (for only 5 euros per person) and have a great lunch in a typical Egyptian restaurant So Valley of Kings, temple of hatshepsut and memnon colossus, always accompanied by Hares, between explanations and funny jokes Fantastic experience, despite the other 5 hours drive back to the resort Thanks to Hares and our driver J P

Trip to Luxor was fantastic. Well organized and small group - 4 persons. Staff (guide, manager, drivers) very friendly. Guide was a good speaker not only in topic of ancient history but in most recent Egypt's history as well. If you have more time in Egypt I would suggest going for 2 days trip to Luxor. Very good customer care - in touch with you with Whatsupp messages. Fair payment policy - 25% in advance, rest paid on the trip

Marsa Alam Tours offers standard day trips from Marsa Alam to Luxor, but we preferred a custom made trip. We communicated through What's App and email. Sometimes it took a little while for the company to get back to us, but they always did. We could've easily picked any other company, but we're SO glad we went with Marsa Alam Tours. They responded in such a flexible way and they granted us all our wishes. The tour guide told us all sorts of things on our way to Luxor (that took approx. 5 hours) and answered all our questions. We went to the Karnak and Luxor Temples, had something to drink in downtown Luxor, crossed the river Nile by felucca (it's really nice and peaceful to sail on the Nile and NOT use a motorized boat!), had a great lunch at restaurant 'Africa', checked out the Colossi of Memnon and the Valley of the Kings and ended our day trip enjoying the incredibly beautiful temple of Queen Hatshepsut. It was great that our guide, Ahmed, was there to explain things and pointed out so many details we would've definitely overlooked ourselves. With all the things he told us, I think we hardly scratched the surface of everything he knows. The whole day was amazing, interesting and very captivating. We had 2 drivers, Ramadan and (2nd) Ahmed, because Luxor is a long way from Marsa Alam. We felt very safe with all 3 gentlemen. Definitely a pleasure to travel with the people of Marsa Alam Tours. Thank you all very much for this unforgettable day! Should we ever be back in Egypt (no matter where we will be in Egypt next time), we will definitely book our excursions with Marsa Alam Tours, since they organize trips throughout the whole of Egypt. Organization Marsa Alam Tours: I like this organization, because you can talk via whatsapp/ facebook. This will give you quick answers to your questions. Excursion: The excursion was well arranged and complete. If you wanted to do something extra, this was no problem (for example, going to a Papyrus store). We also got a Dutch speaking guide without having asked for it, which was very nice. Only downside I found was that you were kind of obliged to take a cruise on the Nile for 15 euros.

We had an amazing day in Luxor visiting Egyptian archeological sites. The pick up was early in the morning (4 am), but the transport was very comfortable and we managed to sleep almost the whole trip to Luxor (5 hours). We met there our guide Ahmed, who led us the through the sites in the East side of Luxor. He was very nice and prepared pointing out very interesting facts, like the Christian paintings in the Karnak temple. We crossed the Nile on a small boat and we had lunch. The included lunch was on the roof of a restaurant in west side of Luxor with a nice view on the Nile. The meal ok and abundant (remember drinks not included). In the afternoon we visited the valley of the kings and the temple of Hatshepsut. We finished the day with the long trip home (we arrived at 11pm) tired but very satisfied. Recommended

The service provided by Marsa Alam Tour was really good and safe. I wrote them by email/whatsapp and they replied soon providing details. As far as I understood, they work as an intermediary, contacting local driver and guides. The car was good and the driver, Abdul if I remember correctly, was really kind and always smiling and drove perfectly along the whole day. The guide, Ares, was a good guy, he spoke a really good italian and was able to explain us all useful information about the temple we visited. The only reason why I didn't provide a 5 star rating is that the guide tried to "oversell" us some extra tombs in the "Kings Valley". The price for Tutankhamon tomb is (as of January 2019) 250 LE, equivalent to 11,5 Euro approximately. The price for Seti tomb, instead, is 1000 LE, equivalent to 50 Euros approximately. The guide, instead, told us that he was buying the ticket for us at a price of 25 euro for Tutankhamon and 70 Euros for Seti. Please, always refer to the official prices available at the entrance of the temples. Except for this small inconvenient, I recommend to book and take a private tour with this agency for the quality and the safety of the service provided.
