West Bank – The Necropolis of Thebes Valley of the Kings Your journey begins at the legendary Valley of the Kings, the final resting place of Egypt’s most powerful pharaohs. This UNESCO World Heritage site is a must-see, featuring elaborately decorated tombs that reveal the splendor of ancient Egyptian beliefs and artistry. During your visit, you’ll explore four royal tombs, including: The Tomb of Ramses IV – Famous for its vivid astronomical ceiling decorations. The Tomb of Ramses III – Featuring intricate wall reliefs and historical inscriptions. The Tomb of Merenptah – The grand burial site of Ramses II’s son. Tomb of King Tutankhamun (Tut), known for its historical significance and the treasures it once held.

  2. Tomb of King Tutankhamun (KV62)
    15 minut

Entrance fees to the tomb of Tutankhamun (300.00 EGP) (optional) King Tutankhamun, the most famous king in the world. This young king from the New Kingdom was around 10 years old when he ascended the throne and died when he was only 19. You will get the chance to be face to face with his royal mummy in his tomb in the Valley of the Kings

  3. Tomb of Ramses III
    15 minut

The tomb of Ramesses III, designated as KV 11, is a complex system in the Valley of the Kings. It has been known since antiquity, the wonderful decorations include colourful painted sunken reliefs featuring the traditional ritual texts (Litany of Ra, Book of Gates etc) and Ramses before the gods. Unusual here are the secular scenes, in the small side rooms of the entrance corridor, showing foreign tributes, such as highly detailed pottery imported from the Aegean, the royal armoury, boats and, in the last of these side chambers, the blind harpists that gave the tomb one of its alternative names: ‘Tomb of the Harpers’

  4. Tomb of Merenptah
    15 minut

In Egyptian mythology, Ptah is the demiurge of Memphis, god of craftsmen and architects. In the or simply in its falcon form of the new deity, began to be placed in tombs to accompany and protect the dead on their journey to the West of Luxor .Tomb 8, which is located in the Valley of the Kings, was the burial place of the Pharaoh Merneptah and is the model of royal tombs Merneptah was a son of Ramesses II and Queen Isis-Nofret.the tomb was discovered by Howard Carter in 1903. Of coursethere is a material decrease in the number of lateral rooms, and a dramatic increase in the height of the corridors and rooms. He did away with the jogged axis used since the time of Horemheb and instead built the entire tomb on a single axis. Also, for the first time, the entrance was made considerably wider than earlier tombs .

  5. Tomb of Ramses IV
    25 minut

The tomb of Ramses IV (KV 2) in the Valley of the Kings is rather different than most other tombs built here. This tomb is by far the most spectacular of the other tombs you will see. The hieroglyphics on the wall depict scenes from the Litany of Ra, Book of the Dead, Book of Caverns, the Book of the Heavens, Book of Amduat, and the Book of the Night. The blue and white colors on the walls inside the burial chamber are very vibrant and you can see the king's sarcophagus made of rose-colored granite. There is also a beautiful scene of goddess Nut on the ceiling, where she is depicted swallowing the sun, and it traveling through her stomach, for Nut to give birth to it. The tomb has so much colour and detail even the ceiling above the sarcophagi with its goddess Nut stretching across the space. The sarcophagus is one of the largest in the valley, even though some of the paintings have deteriorated this is one of the most decorated.

  6. Temple of Hatshepsut
    1 minuta

After visiting the tombs you will be transported to the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut (Deir el Bahari), the only woman ever to reign over Egypt as Pharaoh. Want to experience Luxor small tour style?

Hassan was extremely knowledgeable in Egyptian history and really helped navigating the usual tourist traps. Knowing all sites close at 4:30 PM, he made sure I saw 6 historical sites and got the chance to visit the alabaster store. While stepping back in history and getting the opportunity to walk among the great likes Ramses II was amazing, the highlights of the tour were things like getting fresh sugar chain juice and local food.

Hassan provided an EXCEPTIONAL tour experience!

Hassan was an EXCEPTIONAL tour guide! He was professional, extremely knowledgeable, and courteous. His insight regarding the history of the area made for an enriching tour. The food at the restaurant he selected for our lunch mid-tour was some of the best we have enjoyed during our stay in Egypt. I would highly recommend Hassan for anyone looking for an expert, quality tour.

Great day tour of Luxor

This tour has it all! Everything we saw exceeded our expectations. Our tour guide, Ahmed Aziz, was incredibly knowledgeable about Egyptian history and made our trip brilliant in every way! He took care of all details for us- large and small and we left feeling so grateful for our experience with him. He was professional and helpful and our driver was the best we’ve had throughout Egypt. Fantastic tour and guide- highly recommend!

Genuinely and caring tour guide - one of the best!

Highly recommend Mr. Hassain. He's probably one of best tour guides from my trip in Egypt. He was knowledgeable, professional. Mr. Hassain truly cared for our safety when he quickly enacted my complaints in one of the tour sites due to a very pushy worker and tried to amend things. He also provided tours that allows us to make our own decision without having to persuade so much to buy certain things and even tried to feed my sister who skipped breakfast and sacrificed his own meal. I really appreciate his help and please don't hesitate to have him as your tour guide . He was one of people that I have experienced a true egyptian hospitality.

Great tour with great guide

This tour was great. We saw a lot in one day. It was a tight schedule, but our guide, Amin, was relaxed and knew what he was doing, and he was good company. Lunch was delicious, and Amir made sure that we had enough water through the day. We highly recommend this tour.

Incredible Day with an Amazing Local Guide

My girlfriend and I had the most amazing day touring all of Luxor’s ancient Egyptian heritage with Hamdy as our guide. What really stood out to use was not just his encyclopedic knowledge of historical Egypt, but his way of explaining the context with which we should view all the wonders we saw. We toured all of the important West Bank sites in the morning and then spent the afternoon at the incredible Karnak Temple. Our driver was also excellent and made sure we got to and from each site quickly and comfortably. If you want to ensure you have an unforgettable and magical experience in Luxor, make sure Hamdy is your guide.
