Private Full-Day Luxor Highlights – East & West Banks Start your day with a hotel in Luxor, where your expert guide will welcome you for a fully guided 7-hour tour in a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle. West Bank – The Necropolis of Thebes Valley of the Kings Your journey begins at the legendary Valley of the Kings, the final resting place of Egypt’s most powerful pharaohs. This UNESCO World Heritage site is a must-see, featuring elaborately decorated tombs that reveal the splendor of ancient Egyptian beliefs and artistry. During your visit, you’ll explore four royal tombs, including: The Tomb of Ramses IV – Famous for its vivid astronomical ceiling decorations. The Tomb of Ramses III – Featuring intricate wall reliefs and historical inscriptions. The Tomb of Merenptah – The grand burial site of Ramses II’s son. Tomb of King Tutankhamun (Tut), known for its historical significance and the treasures it once held.

  2. Tomb of King Tutankhamun (KV62)
    15 minut

Entrance fees to the tomb of Tutankhamun (300.00 EGP) (optional) King Tutankhamun, the most famous king in the world. This young king from the New Kingdom was around 10 years old when he ascended the throne and died when he was only 19. You will get the chance to be face to face with his royal mummy in his tomb in the Valley of the Kings

  3. Tomb of Ramses III
    15 minut

The tomb of Ramesses III, designated as KV 11, is a complex system in the Valley of the Kings. It has been known since antiquity, the wonderful decorations include colourful painted sunken reliefs featuring the traditional ritual texts (Litany of Ra, Book of Gates etc) and Ramses before the gods. Unusual here are the secular scenes, in the small side rooms of the entrance corridor, showing foreign tributes, such as highly detailed pottery imported from the Aegean, the royal armoury, boats and, in the last of these side chambers, the blind harpists that gave the tomb one of its alternative names: ‘Tomb of the Harpers’

  4. Tomb of Merenptah
    15 minut

In Egyptian mythology, Ptah is the demiurge of Memphis, god of craftsmen and architects. In the or simply in its falcon form of the new deity, began to be placed in tombs to accompany and protect the dead on their journey to the West of Luxor .Tomb 8, which is located in the Valley of the Kings, was the burial place of the Pharaoh Merneptah and is the model of royal tombs Merneptah was a son of Ramesses II and Queen Isis-Nofret.the tomb was discovered by Howard Carter in 1903. Of coursethere is a material decrease in the number of lateral rooms, and a dramatic increase in the height of the corridors and rooms. He did away with the jogged axis used since the time of Horemheb and instead built the entire tomb on a single axis. Also, for the first time, the entrance was made considerably wider than earlier tombs .

  5. Tomb of Ramses IV
    25 minut

The tomb of Ramses IV (KV 2) in the Valley of the Kings is rather different than most other tombs built here. This tomb is by far the most spectacular of the other tombs you will see. The hieroglyphics on the wall depict scenes from the Litany of Ra, Book of the Dead, Book of Caverns, the Book of the Heavens, Book of Amduat, and the Book of the Night. The blue and white colors on the walls inside the burial chamber are very vibrant and you can see the king's sarcophagus made of rose-colored granite. There is also a beautiful scene of goddess Nut on the ceiling, where she is depicted swallowing the sun, and it traveling through her stomach, for Nut to give birth to it. The tomb has so much colour and detail even the ceiling above the sarcophagi with its goddess Nut stretching across the space. The sarcophagus is one of the largest in the valley, even though some of the paintings have deteriorated this is one of the most decorated.

  6. Temple of Hatshepsut

After visiting the tombs you will be transported to the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut (Deir el Bahari), the only woman ever to reign over Egypt as Pharaoh. More than expected

We originally booked a private Valley of the kings tour with Abdul. We received wayyyyy more than expected. For a small fee, His driver picked us up and dropped us back off at the airport. The vehicle was a clean Van with A/C. Because we had so much time to spare before our flight back to Cairo, Abdul took us to see Luxor and Karnak temple. On the way, We stopped at a nice gift shop with clean restrooms. Also at the end of tour, we opted in to do a nice boat lunch on the Nile River.

Khalid fantastic guide!!

Khalid was a fantastic guide!! Very knowledgeable and helpful, was flexible with pick up and drop off before and after the tour. Was happy to answer all questions and made the tour fun and informative. Did not rush us at all during the tour and was happy to take things at our pace.

Very knowledgeable guide!

Our guid Khalid was very knowledgeable and answered our questions about the temples and tombs. He has a masters in Egyptology and even had explanations about where words and phrases we use today come from ancient Egypt and Greek. He was friendly and had a great sense of humour. He even arranged for my idiot husband to borrow a local motorbike and ride on an empty street after lunch. Lunch was really good and they prepared the meal to my husbands dietary restrictions. The van was punctual, clean, and the air conditioning worked wonderfully. He took great photos and even recommended visiting the last temple after sunset for the best experience.

Knowledgeable, comfortable and very worth doing!

Khalid and Ramadan provided for an unforgettable experience on our 1-day tour of Luxor. Khalid is extremely knowledgeable and his command of English is great. The car driven by Ramadan is clean, air-conditioned, comfortable and very well driven. The itinerary is tightly packed but manageable and covers the key places and events. The included lunch was delicious and there was a lot of attention given to the individual wishes. We can't recommend this company and Khalid enough, thank you for the fantastic tour and pictures. Acrobatics not included :)

10/10 would recommend tour to explore Luxor's beauty & history

Touring with Khalid is a 11/10 experience that we'd definitely recommend. Khalid is knowledgeable about Luxor and a very considerate guide. We had a tiring day traveling from Aswan to Luxor the night before, and Khalid kindly accommodated to our request that we want to have a more chill and relaxed itinerary. Turns out we actually managed to visit most of the sites that we wanted to go, including the Valley of the Kings, Luxor Temple, Queen of Hatshepsut, with NO RUSH AT ALL. Khalid's narration of the sites' cultural and historical significance was lively, simple and captivating. He also gave us sufficient free time to explore the sites. Overall the day was wonderful and we'd very much recommend the tour to anyone who wants to explores Luxor's beauty.

What a fantastic day with Abdul! Such an experience going on a tour with someone who is not only incredibly knowledgeable but also loves his job as much as this. Definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Egypt and would highly recommend. Each tour stop is incredible and also amazing to gain such insight from Abdul. The lunch stop on the tour also has amazing food! 10/10! Thank you Abdul.

Amazing tour of Luxor!

Abdul was an amazing guide. It’s clear he loves his job, and his breadth of knowledge is unbelievable. He gives you a lot of information at each stop, but does so in a way that has you hanging off his every word (be sure to listen, he does a quiz at the end and has prices!). The tour covers a lot of ground in a short space of time, but didn’t feel at all rushed. This was the last of 5 tours we were doing in various places across Egypt, but was, without a doubt, the best! Would 100% recommend!

Abdul made this tour the best

Amazing time with Abdul, a guide who’s also a professor at the Luxor University, who shared his breadth of knowledge with us on a private tour through West and East Bank Luxor. My wife originally booked us a group tour spanning 8ish hours, but I ended up succumbing to the Pharoh’s Revenge and, being fearful that my frequent bathroom trips would ruin the tour for everyone, my wife asked what could be done just 3 hours before departure. We feared we would simply have to cancel, but no, the company was able to accommodate us with a last minute change to a shorter, private tour. Abdul was very kind, and approachable. He provided our itinerary, assured us we could take bathroom breaks at all the sites, and always checked in on us and gave us options to lengthen a particular stay at a site or shorten/drop a visit. Luckily my medication kicked in and I did not have to suffer. Instead, we were able to explore and absorb all the great information Abdul provided us. At Valley of the Kings, he provided great detail on the excavation of the tombs before entering, so we knew what the hieroglyphs meant and why certain tombs had the designs that they did. A huge highlight was the Karnak Temple, because Abdul himself was a part of the project that completed the color restoration process for the pillars. Very insightful intelligent and humble man. His passion for Luxor really elevates this tour. Get your university- level knowledge from Abdul!
