Karnak is an ancient Egyptian temple precinct located on the east bank of the Nile River in Thebes (modern-day Luxor). It covers more than 100 hectares, an area larger than some ancient cities.
Constructed over hundreds of years by Amenhotep III, Ramses II, Tutankhamun, and other pharaohs, Luxor Temple was the largest and most significant religious center in ancient Egypt. In what was then Thebes, Luxor Temple was “the place of the First Occasion,” where the god Amon experienced rebirth during the pharaoh’s annually reenacted coronation ceremony.
The west bank of Luxor had been the site of royal burials since around 2100 BC, but it was the pharaohs of the New Kingdom period (1550–1069 BC) who chose this isolated valley dominated by the pyramid-shaped mountain peak of Al Qurn (The Horn). Once called the Great Necropolis of Millions of Years of Pharaoh, or the Place of Truth, the Valley of the Kings has 63 magnificent royal tombs.
At Deir Al Bahri, the eyes first focus on the dramatic rugged limestone cliffs that rise nearly 300m above the desert plain, only to realise that at the foot of all this immense beauty lies a monument even more extraordinary, the dazzling Temple of Hatshepsut. The almost-modern-looking temple blends in beautifully with the cliffs from which it is partly cut – a marriage made in heaven. Most of what you see has been painstakingly reconstructed.

Me and muy daughter took the tour to Luxor and Aswan and had a great Time we took a Lot of pictures and our guide Mohamed Sayed was great very kind and profesional and knew perfectlly the history of the touristc Places we visited i recomend him very much.

Me and my nom took the tour with guide Mohamed Sayed in Luxor and Aswan and it was really good, all the service and the views were amazing, also our guide Mohamed was really kind and profesional, puntual and it was really nice to talk to and that made our experience very enjoyable. I recommend him very much he is the Best.

My husband and I visited Egypt in March for my 50th birthday trip. We spent 14 days here, traveling through Cairo, Hurghada, Luxor and Aswan. We had the pleasure of receiving Mohammed as our tour guide in Luxor and Aswan. He took us to many temples, the Friendship Tower and the High Dam, the Botanical Gardens, Nubian Village and Museum, several cotton and jewelry stores AND he also was kind enough to take us shopping so I could find a caftan and traditional Muslim dress! Mohammed is so knowledgeable about Egyptian history, and he makes you feel comfortable at all times. I really appreciate his leadership style and how he takes command but is not overbearing. I really enjoyed meeting him and highly recommend booking him when you visit Egypt!

Mohammad is the best! Super knowledgeable, kind, friendly, and just a great tour guide. Went above and beyond re what we wanted to do and see. Five stars truly don’t do his service, subject matter expertise, and congeniality any justice. Do yourself a favor and ask for him to be your guide. He is the consummate professional.

Our guide, Ahmed Awad, was recommended by a friend and she was absolutely right!! His knowledge is incredible. As we moved from site to site, he explained each so thoroughly, patiently answered questions, always making sure our every need was met. The entire experience from the beginning to end was definitely "a trip of a lifetime" experience!! I definitely and highly recommend Ahmed Awad, Jakada Tours, for an amazing capture of the history and mystic of this beautiful country.

This tour was an amazing experience. My husband and I took a private tour of East and West Luxor and guide was Ahmed Emam. The sights we saw on the tour were awe inspiring. Ahmed is a phenomenal guide. He was very communicative, knowledgeable and passionate about the sights we visited and ancient Egyptian history.

Ahmed Awad was our tour guide in Luxor. He was absolutely amazing. He is very detailed and knowledgeable about everything we were visiting. I would request him if i ever get the opportunity to return to Egypt. If you are looki g for a tour guide....he is your guy.

Egypt is my dream trip and thanks to Jakada Tours and my guide, Azad, it is one that I will remember forever. My trip companion couldn’t go in the last minute, so it ended up being a solo trip. Azad provided excellent service, was responsive to any questions or requests, knowledgable about the sites we visited, and was always prompt/on time. He recommended to add the Nubian Village to my itinerary and I’m so glad that I did. Azad also helped to make my birthday special and memorable by asking the cruise staff to do a surprise cake and birthday song during dinner.
