Move on to enjoy the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, which was built by Queen Hatshepsut, daughter of Thutmosis I, who ruled Egypt about 20 years during the 18th Dynasty (approximately from 1490 to 1469 B.C), the only pharaonic woman who reigned ancient Egypt. Later on, you will be transferred back to your hotel in Luxor.
The Temple of Hatshepsut, also known as Deir el-Bahari, is an ancient Egyptian funerary temple located on the west bank of the Nile River near the city of Luxor. It was built for Queen Hatshepsut, one of the few female pharaohs in ancient Egypt, who ruled during the 15th century BCE (approximately 1479-1458 BCE). The Temple of Hatshepsut is considered one of the most remarkable architectural achievements of ancient Egypt. It was designed by Senenmut.
The Colossi of Memnon are two massive stone statues located on the west bank of the Nile River near the city of Luxor in Egypt. They are all that remains of a larger mortuary temple complex built by Pharaoh Amenhotep III during the 14th century BCE (approximately 1350-1334 BCE). The statues depict Amenhotep III seated on his throne, and each statue stands about 18 meters (60 feet) tall, weighing approximately 700 tons. They were carved out of single blocks of quartzite sandstone and originally placed at the entrance of the pharaoh's temple. The statues were created to guard the temple and to represent the pharaoh's divine power and authority.

We had a great time with our guide Hany Yassen and our driver Alla. Hany‘s knowledge of ancient Egypt is beyond compare, and his vivid explanations brought those ancient times back to life. Thankfully, he also recommended his favourite tomb of Ramses V and VI to us, which is beautiful and which we otherwise has missed. We recommend this tour a 100%.

Our tour guide was absolutely amazing. He was very detailed and actually explained so much about the Valley of the kings tombs and he even came with us to show us the drawings at Hatshepsut temple and what they meant.

My husband and I had a great experience with Ammar and Abdo. Abdo made pick up and drop off from our hotel and each location very easy. Ammar was a great guide, he explained what we saw and allowed us time to roam and take pictures as well. He was kind and friendly and even offered other tour options but let us know we were not obligated. We had a wonderful time with both of them! We highly recommend!

My guide, Abdelwahab, was very kind, took a lot of pictures and took time for my daughter to translate for me, who didn't speak English. The driver, Mahmoud, was very kind to us, buying us juice. We recommend this tour when you come to Luxor!

Our guide, Abdelwahab, had a tremendous amount of knowledge and explained many times what I didn’t understand! The English names were difficult, but it was a tour that taught me the main points to see and made me want to study more while looking back at the photos! I don't think I would have enjoyed it so much if I had gone there on my own. The driver, Mahmoud , was also kind enough to give us water and even buy us juice when we picked him up! This tour is recommended when visiting Luxor!

Phenomenal. When I first booked I was expecting A. To be in a group B. For it to be a regular walk round the valley of the kings then a little drive around with little amounts of information. Not what we got AT ALL! Abdel was amazing! Outside the lobby of our hotel 15 minutes early, when I asked about a group he said it was just 1 on 1! Our own Air conditioned car to ferry us from place to place and abdel himself who is an unbelievably knowledgeable Egyptologist, when we had questions he would talk us through the answers and any little things we would have certainly missed had we gone on our own he talked us through the history and interesting royal vs political situations of the day. My Bottomline would be that this tour is worth so much more then you’ll pay for, abdel’s recommendations for tombs in the valley of the kings are spot on. Absolute 10/10!

You must do this tour! You learn so much then can explore at your own pace after knowing facts is so much better! Our guide hanny yassen was amazing! Organised everything and answered all questions! Our driver Mahmoud made us feel very comfortable the entire time which helped escape the heat!
