The Giza pyramid complex, also called the Giza Necropolis, is the site on the Giza Plateau in Greater Cairo, Egypt that includes the Great Pyramid of Giza, the Pyramid of Khafre, and the Pyramid of Menkaure, along with their associated pyramid complexes and the Great Sphinx of Giza. Menkaure's pyramid complex consists of a valley temple, a causeway, a mortuary temple, and the king's pyramid. The valley temple once contained several statues of Menkaure. During the 5th Dynasty, a smaller ante-temple was added on to the valley temple.
Khafre's pyramid complex consists of a valley temple, the Sphinx temple, a causeway, a mortuary temple and the king's pyramid. The valley temple yielded several statues of Khafre. Several were found in a well in the floor of the temple by Mariette in 1860. Others were found during successive excavations by Sieglin (1909–10),
The Great Sphinx lies on the east side of the complex. Current consensus among Egyptologists is that the head of the Great Sphinx is that of Khafre. Along with these major monuments are a number of smaller satellite edifices, known as "queens" pyramids, causeways and valley pyramids

The bazaar district is one of Cairo's main attractions for tourists and Egyptians alike. It is also home to many Egyptian artisans and workshops involved in the production of traditional crafts and souvenirs.

Honestly didn't think we needed a tour guide but I'm so glad we made the decision to get one. TONCE IS THE MAN!! Hands down created the best experience I could've imagined. Super knowledgeable and patient. He took the time to understand what we were looking for and interested in and catered the day to that. Felt super lucky to have him as our guide. He even set up a last minute guide for later in the day after we expressed what we were doing and recommended we go with someone. Super grateful. Oh and the tour was awesome. Saw the pyramids, sphinx, camel, etc. Woderful sights all around. Feel blessed to be able to experience Egypt in my life.

What an honour to have a Egyptologist guide us through Luxor! By far the most eye-opening, informative and enjoyable tour to date. We got to appreciate not only the grandiosity of each site, but also all the small details, common myths, and proposed theories. This brought each site to life and gave us the opportunity to realistically imagine what life was like during this time. I believe this enriching experience was owed to real privilege of having Selwa, an Egyptologist, guide us through Luxor. She was incredibly patient too, and answered all our (often misguided) questions without hesitation and in such detail. We left this tour with such a rich appreciate and understanding of Egyptian history, culture and life during the New Kingdom. On the practical side of things - the driver was punctual and very friendly. He waited at each site, with the air-conditioner on, so thus when we finished at each respective site, we could get straight into the car, cool down, and head directly onto the next site. Lunch was absolutely divine, and super authentic! Just a side note: it’s HOT. I would highly recommend taking a bag with an umbrella, tissues (for your perspiration) and copious amounts of water. Selwa kindly let us stop at a store to stock pile some water and cool drinks, as the heat really gets the best of you!
