Luxor's Jewels with Heart & (Skill) Mind
We have been picked up as a family of four with two children (7/9 years) in an air-conditioned car on Hurghada directly from our hotel.
The trip to Luxor went smoothly and was completed after about 3h. On the way there was also some s to see. The drive through the desert and the mountains were very interesting (for us Central Europeans, who do not know anything like this).
In Luxor we were warmly welcomed by our guide Mostafa Mohammed. We (and our otherwise rather shy children) liked Mostafa immediately.
We then drove for dinner to a typical local restaurant where we were served very tasty food.
Then we went to check in at the hotel (view from the balcony of the Nile and the west bank of the Nile, on which is also the Valley of the Kings).
On the way to the hotel we asked if it was possible to visit the Luxor temple in the evening, as it is very nicely lit in the evening.
Mostafa made it possible for us immediately and offered us to continue a carriage ride through Luxor. Both were also highly recommended and gave us a deep insight into the culture and life in this millennia-old city on the Nile.
The next morning we went before sunrise to the launch site of the balloon tour over the Valley of the Kings, which we also booked. As we were about to get into the basket and take off, however, it had to be cancelled at the last minute due to dangerous winds. Very sad, because the children were very much looking forward to it.
However, nobody can help the weather.
Mostafa immediately took care of everything organizational, so our day could otherwise continue as planned.
We visited the Valley of the Kings we visited the tombs of the Pharaohs Ramses III, IV & IX.
All three were a recommendation from our guide and were absolutely impressive. 😊👍🏻Thank you
Then we continued to the temple of Hatshepsut, the Memnon Colossi (which actually belonged to the Temple of the Dead of Amenothep III -> as we learned thanks to Mostafa)
This was followed by a visit to the HABU temple (Ramses
III) and the monumental Karnak temple (~> several pharaohs built the largest temple complex in the world here over a total of more than two thousand years ->must see)
In between, we had a delicious lunch at a restaurant right on the west bank of the Nile and a relaxed boat trip to the east bank of the Nile in a hatchback.
We would do it again and again.

Great trip to Luxor
We had a fantastic trip. Lots of sites to visit and our guide professor Ahmed Elsisi was very knowledgable. The balloon ride was thoroughly enjoyable

I did this trip with my parents and the tour guide Ahmed Elsisi, who made the two days very special.
The tour was the perfect mixture of fun and informative and I would definitely recommend it to someone of any age!

Luxor Private tour with balloons
Highly recommended our driver Mahmoud and guide Samira were very professional and kind , making sure we had cold drinks all the time and that everything was taken care of. The tour included overnight hotel in Luxor which was on the Nile with a balcony overlooking the Nile making everything feel special , so glad we chose this company and would not hesitate in recommending them to anyone . I would thoroughly recommend this trip to anyone who wants to experience Luxor from Hurghada. Our driver was Mr Ezz and our guide was Ahmed Elsisi both provided a first class service.
We were picked up from our hotel on time 4pm, driven to Luxor and was joined by Ahmed. We went to Luxor Temple which was beautiful at night, the lights were amazing. We were then taken to an Egyptian restaurant, 3 of our group ordered the chicken skewers and said it was the nicest they’ve ever tasted. We then went back to our hotel which sat on the banks of The Nile.
Prompt and early collection from the hot air balloon group for the short drive over to the West Bank to start our flight. Excellent photo opportunities from the photographer (all pictures sent to me the next day) and included in the price of trip. Our flight took us over the West Bank, Valley of the Kings and great views of The Nile all as the sun was rising. We landed in a corn field and the balloon staff did a sterling job getting us down effortlessly and we appreciated the hard work involved.
We then head off for breakfast with Ahmed explaining the plans for the day ahead. We did 4 tombs at the Valley of the Kings and it’s something everyone should experience. The history is unmatched. We then went an Alabaster workshop for a short demonstration and were able to buy original work from a long established business. We didn’t realise this was included in the trip and was the best surprise. We then moved on to Medinet Habu which was amazing and great to see and excellent for photo opportunities.
Lunch was again was fantastic, a restaurant with a buffet of lots of Egyptian and western dishes. We then finished off with a ride on a felucca on The Nile taking in all the sights along both banks and the beautiful river boats.
I cannot recommend this trip enough. The service was exceptional and our guide and Egyptologist Ahmed Elsisi was first class, providing knowledge, laughs (he’s a great sense of humour) and even pictures which he provided and sent on to us after the tour.
We were back in our hotel in Hurghada for 5.45pm the next day and had experienced best day we’ve ever; this trip is worth every penny.
We appreciated the hard work put in from everyone, the Egyptian culture is friendly and welcoming and I’ll be back to do more trips with Legacy Tours.

Breathtaking balloon ride and beautiful antiquities visited
We had a 2 beautiful days. First we were picked up by Mahmoud Elsawy who drove us to Luxor where we met Professor Ahmed Elsisi.
The dinner served was delicious, then to the Lotus Hotel where we slept well. We got up early, because at 5 o'clock we were picked up for the balloon ride. This was breathtakingly beautiful! Then visited antiquities where our guide knew a lot to tell, this was very educational. After the antiquities we were safely taken back to our hotel in Hurghada. All in all highly recommended!

Great visit to antiquities and a fantastic balloon ride
What a great trip. We were picked up by our driver Mahmou Elsawy who took us quickly but safely to Luzor. On the way there was a short break for toilet visits. Arriving in Luxor we met our guide and Egyptologist Professor Ahmed Elsisi.
After a delicious dinner in Luxor we were taken to kns hotel. The Lotus hotel was nice and very clean. There we slept wonderfully and were picked up around five o'clock by the balloon team who took us to the hot air balloon. With the balloon we made a great trip above the city and old Luxor. The drive was great and took about an hour. Then we visited the Valley of the Kings and the temple of Hatshepsut. We skipped the other sights because it had been an exhausting day all in all. After dropping the guide off in Luxor we drove back to our hotel with our driver.
All in all, a fantastic day that we would not have missed for good.

Memories made which will last a lifetime. Book this trip to see the best highlights of Luxor in 24 hours from Hurghada.
Just finished the best trip ever with our knowledgeable guide Ahmed Elsisi and our driver Mr Ezz. Prompt collection with friendly service, no waiting at lines with everything taken care of. So much to see and do, Luxor Temple, Valley of the Kings, Hot Air Balloon, Medinet Habu Temple finishing off with a felucca boat ride on The Nile with a dance thrown in from our fantastic guide Ahmed. We had dinner, breakfast and lunch at three different traditional Egyptian restaurants all with good variety and delicious with friendly waiting staff.
I cannot recommend this trip enough, first class service and memories made which will last us a lifetime. Extra activities thrown in with a trip to an Alabaster workshop.
This trip is worth every penny!

Very special
Professor Ahmed Elsisi our knowledgeable guide and Egyptologist, and driver Mr. Ahmed Saleh looked after us very well. They provided cold drinks frequently throughout the day.
Overnight we stayed in a hotel where our balcony over looked the Nile and Valley of the Kings (lit up).
We checked the wind before we chose our day to ensure the best chance of the hot air balloons going ahead. And it was spectacular! For anyone who gets dizzy at height like me, it was so gentle and peaceful and sturdy, you didn’t even know you’d left the ground! Our pilot was professional and friendly and the ground crew worked very hard.
Professor Ahmed Elsisi dealt with all entry tickets and gave us the extra options, like adding on King Tuts tomb and choosing a different last stop when my 9 year old son had become tired and needed shade. He also engaged well with my son and took some wonderful pictures for us. The experience is so much better with a guide to give you all the special details from history.
The Professor also took us to places I don’t think we would have seen if we’d gone by ourselves- we saw the artists at work and papyrus makers who also engaged with my son making his experience very special. The Professor has a warm friendship with many people in Luxor, you can see what a wonderful community this is.
Then Mr Ahmed Saleh, who had patiently driven us around all evening and all day, drove us safely back to our resort in time for a rest before dinner. Perfect!
