Cairo, Luxor & Sharm El Naga
We had booked with Memnon Reisen 3 excursions in February: Sharm El Naga, Luxor day trip and 2 days Cairo.
After Luxor we went by car and the friendly driver Ali. At the Karnak temple we met the Egyptologist Malek, who did not miss his profession. In perfect German he imparts an enormous knowledge of Egypt, whether historical or current.
In Cairo we met Marcus, who showed us around the Egyptian Museum and the next day showed us the pyramids of Giza and Saqqara. Super nice and funny, also our son got along great with him and that means something 😊
The nice thing about Memnon travel is that you have an individual excursion where every wish is taken into account. You are not part of a large tour group sent from A to B. If you don't want something or want to do something extra in the short term, none of this is a problem.

I wrote to Memnon Reisen before our holiday. We were planning to go to Cairo before this year. Last year we were in Luxor, but afterwards said that we will definitely fly to Cairo by plane.
But since it was well described in the reviews by bus and you also save a lot of money, we chose the bus.
We were 8 people and then had our Private Excursion to Cairo last Tuesday on February 18. Everything was relaxed and we were picked up by the driver and the hotel at 3am. Could immediately continue sleeping in the comfortable new bus. At some point there was a break where we could satisfy toilet, coffee and hunger. Afterwards we continued to Cairo quickly without any problems. There our guide Adel boarded the bus to us. We drove through the disastrous city of Cairo, it is now really not worth seeing, to the museum. That was huge and very interesting, Adel explained and showed us the most important things. Great to hear and see, admirable! After that we went to lunch, buffet, is a matter of taste, but we got fed up. From the window you could already see the pyramids. The anticipation was great.
Finally we started. Adel bought us tickets everywhere, and we were standing in front of the Cheops pyramid, madness, sooo great and gigantic. Adel showed and explained a lot to us, and everyone could ask questions. Free time for photo shoot and walking around was also enough. So this trip was without stress and hassle. The time was quite enough, and about 15.30 we drove back again, before of course we also stood in front of the Sphinx.
The return journey was also relaxed with a break. We were then back at the hotel at 9pm. Done but happy and satisfied about this great experience, which no one from our troupe will forget, and our children will perhaps be useful in school.

Day trip Luxor
Dear Memnon team,

Ali the driver arrived on time early at the hotel and took us to our trip to Luxor. His warm nature and the information on the route about country and people were just right. His knowledge of German was also considerable.
In Luxor, our guide Malek joined us. His extremely sympathetic manner and his gigantic knowledge of Egypt impressed us beyond measure.
We will not forget this trip.😃👍 Next year we will definitely book a trip through you again.
What we also noticed very positively was that there were no sales talks and that there was a delicious meal with Nile views.😍

Perfect Trip!
Thanks to our driver Roma and our perfectly german speaking guide Adel, this was our best trip in egypt so far.. thanks a lot.

Cairo Private Tour by Air and Limousine
Thanks for the great trip to Cairo. Everything was very well planned and organized. Particularly great was the private Service with the very good German—speaking tour guide Markus, where you felt well informed and safe. He has an insane knowledge of the country and culture. After a pleasant transfer to the airport and the domestic flight, we visited the Egyptian National Museum first, after which we went for a delicious lunch with a view of the pyramids, which we visited extensively afterwards. The tour guide is really good at responding to the interests of the visitors and showing great photo motifs. After that we were accompanied by him to the bazaar, where he even helped to act one time or another. We didn't have to worry about anything, all tickets were organized by Markus. Everything went smoothly and without waiting. It is definitely 100% recommended.
Next holiday we will definitely book a trip with Memnon again.

Super private tour! Recommended to everyone!!
Today we went with Memnon travel from Hurghada to Cairo on 22.01.2020. We booked the private tour (for two) by limousine. The driver picked us up on time at 03:00. The car was very clean and very cozy. After 2.5 hours we took a break and then after about 2 hours we were back. Arrived in Cairo. There, our Egyptologist was waiting for us in front of the museum. Adil was a very nice and spoke perfect German. He explained everything thoroughly and was open to any question. After the museum we visited the pyramids. Also there everything was top organized and very nice. We really enjoyed the tour. Recommended to everyone. Especially the private tour by car - very pleasant.

Day Trip from Hurghada to Cairo with Egyptian Museum and Pyramids and Sphinx
It was not the first time for us with Memnon travelling. In the summer of last year, we, my wife and I, were traveling with Memnon in Cairo and because we liked it so much, we booked the same trip with Memnon for 19.01.2020. Again, everything worked great, starting with the smooth communication via Whatsapp with Memnon team to our special requests during the tour, they were all taken into account and met with a lot of patience and friendliness (e.g. visit to the oriantal bazaar and boat trip on the Nile).
For the excursion itself, we were picked up on time at 3:00 a.m. at the hotel. The driver was very nice and the ride was very pleasant, our driver drove quickly and safely.
The tour guide in Cairo spoke fantastic German almost accent-free, he was very friendly, polite, helpful and above all, he had a profound expertise. He also has great experience, due to his skill we were in the Egyptian museum all alone in front of the gold mask of Tutankhamun.Super Great!!!
After a wonderful Nile cruise and delicious lunch in a local restaurant, we drove to the pyramids and sphinx. Our guide organized a camel ride in the Sahara for us, we were allowed to see the pyramids from a completely different perspective and take the most amazing shots, a unique experience! After looking deep into the eyes of the Sphinx we drove back to Hurghada.
The tour exceeded all our expectations. It is already certain that we will make a trip to Luxor next year, of course with Memnon!

From Hurgadah to Cairo on 20.01.2020
We have booked a 6 person Cairo tour for 20.01.
We were picked up at 2:45am and the other passengers were already on the board and as everyone found out we got along well.
So now to the journey itself, the ride was very comfortable and we made the first stop after a good 2 hours.
What happened then is called force majeure, the car broke down and the two drivers took care of the jerk (in Germany rather a Waiting time of 4 hours)
The involuntary stop also had something good for itself, so we could take very nice pictures.
Once in Cairo the guide was already waiting for us, that was Mark and I tell you the man is world class. I have read his name many times in other recessions and he has been praised and rightly so.
We then went to the museum and that was really fun with Markus. He has an incredible knowledge of Egypt and is charming and funny.
He explained a lot of things to us that are actually more familiar from documentaries. But this is absolutely important for the later course.
You could ask other questions and he always had an answer.
From the museum we asked if you can drive on the Nile, he also regulated that. After that we had delicious food and then to the pyramids and sphinx.
Markus showed all his knowledge and it was fun.
He helped us with the dealers and many other things.
The Sphinx was then the last point but Markus did a great job with wit and charm.
Even if it sounds like advertising, it's not. Everything has been surpassed and I have to mention Markus again, Dear Memnon Team just won't let Markus go.
I will book this trip again but only when the new museum in Cairo has opened.
I can only say what Memnon Travel promised, that was far surpassed..

Cairo Private Tour
We would like to thank you very much for this absolutely perfect tour. On WhatsApp we booked the tour from Marsa Alam to Cairo as a private tour. We were picked up by the driver around 1 a.m. Communication in English a little German no problem at all. The driver was very friendly and accommodating and drove quickly but conscientiously. Around 8 am we picked up our Egyptologist Markus in Cairo, who accompanied us all day until the return trip. He speaks almost perfect German. As a special request we wanted to buy spices in the old bazaar. This was heeded directly and we were taught the history of the Bazar quarter while strolling through the streets. Continue to the museum.... There we were just under 3 hours and it could have been another 3 days. Markus showed us the most important monuments and from the 1. Until 30. Dynasty explains everything. He really has a wide knowledge. It's been absolutely breathtaking. Afterwards delicious lunch and on to the pyramids and the Sphinx. Here again detailed information about the pyramids etc. We were driven to the best vantage points. Around 5 pm we started the return journey. We didn't even have to wait in line all day, because Markus knows all the employees. So almost entry included. All in all, this tour exceeded our expectations. Very reliable organizer. Nice staff. A perfect tour. Thank you so much for making the day a perfect one.
