2 stars for the guide, the rest did not go smoothly. We (my daughter and I) were picked up from the hotel as agreed, but with a scrap truck - even by Egyptian standards. The seat belts in the back seat were broken and still in Cairo the driver was stopped by the police because something was loose on the front of the vehicle. With properly snowed and without air conditioning, we then went onto the highway. After about 1/3 of the distance, the car then stopped and had to be towed. Here the organizer should be careful to use appropriate vehicles for such a long distance (I do not expect a European standard!). After a wait of 80min a replacement car/driver arrived. This then got us safely through the whole day. Upon arrival in Alexandria, however, he had trouble finding the meeting place with our guide and had to ask himself several times. Then the pleasant and interesting part of the excursion began. Our guide explained the highlights to us sufficiently and we also had time to look around ourselves. We are not into eternity-long viewings and explanations, for us it was a very good fit. Then we went to the late “lunch”. That's where our guide said goodbye. I didn't even get it at first, I thought she was just sitting down with the driver extra so we could enjoy the food. But it wasn't, so I hadn't tipped, which our guide definitely deserved. After dinner the driver took us back to Cairo, so Pompey’s Pillar is completely down. And also the bottled water given in the description did not exist.
