A Tour of a Lifetime
We are very experienced travelers and had the good fortune of booking our travel with Egypt Tours Portal via Viator. What made this trip special and memorable was the personal guide assigned, Mermeen was wonderful. We were at the Port of Safaga and without delay our driver for the day was there, ready to take us 3 hours to Luxor and later return us. Mermeen was extremely knowledgeable about the culture, the historic sites and the community. We couldn't stump her and she did everything with us, even fronted us a few Egyptian dollars to tip along the way, which we paid back, but it was nice the offered. She gave us options within the tour instead of like so many telling us where we were going, she asked if that interested us. Our trip to the various historic sites was topped off with a wonderful, authentic meal at the Aladdin restaurant on the Nile, which we could only get to via our own falooka (boat) and operator. If you have a day, a week or a month to learn and absorb Egypt, we highly recommend this tour company and you need to use Mermeen to truly make it a life long memory.

<p>We arrived at Safaga and opted for a private tour because we were the only people with a toddler on our cruise ship. Our driver Hassani was incredibly accommodating and ensured that we were comfortable during the long drive to Luxor and back. He had prior experience as a tour guide and told us about the areas we drove through.</p>
<p>When we entered Luxor we picked up our guide Omar Khalifa. He was fantastic with our daughter. He was knowledgeable and and patiently went at our speed. He was able to clarify any questions we had and he tailored an experience just for us.</p>
