Fun with Family

The guides were timely and very knowledgeable. We were able to see so much history that we have studied.

Hidden Valley

I visited the Valley of the Kings and entered the hidden Ramses site. It was incredible and historic in its entirety. The choice to put these hidden burial sites in the Valley of the Kings was told to us as deliberate because of little rain and a hot climate. Our guide was very helpful in explaining the importance of these sites historically. My limited knowledge of this historic site was greatly enhanced by our guide .

I Love Luxor Private Tours! No Regrets!

I am so happy that I chose Luxor Private Tours to trust with our tour of Luxor. I had made the reservation six months prior to our expected arrival date, well before the war on Israel. My group was a little nervous about taking tours and I contemplated cancelling however since Virgin Voyages Resilient Lady sailing continued their scheduled stop in Safaga Port, we kept our planned excursion with Luxor Private Tours. Please be advised, the Safaga Port is totally commercial/industrial. High security, no one can just walk in there; No shopping, no stores, no vendors. If you plan to get off the ship, I would suggest everyone take a tour. The nearest sight is three hours plus drive away from Safaga Port. There were no public buses or taxis. Prepare your excursion in advance. When you take a tour with Luxor Private tours, you will be required to provide them with a copy of your passport. If you do not, you will have an extremely long walk to the outside of the port (to meet the driver) because they will not be allowed inside the port without proof they are picking you up. You will return at the darkness of night and trust me, you don’t want to take that walk to the ship from outside the port entrance. After you book in Trip Advisor, the owner of the company, Ash, as he let me call him, will reach out to you via WhatsApp. He will keep in you touch with you answering any questions or concerns you might have up to the tour. There were six of us on this tour , all of us senior citizens, I might add. We were greeted inside the port by a man holding a sign with my name on it. We had a dedicated driver and he had an assistant. The van was new, clean, air conditioned and had USB ports in the back seats. Water was provided also. There was plenty of space for the six of us. The driver did not speak fluent English but we were able to communicate if needed; mainly to get a bathroom break. When we stopped, we got snacks and drinks. Also, the US dollar is widely accepted or you can use your credit card, not debit card. I did go to a “bank” ATM and got some Egyptian pounds when I was in Cairo. The exchange rate was about 30EGP per 1USD. When we arrived to the city of Luxor, the assistant driver was changed out for our English fluent tour guide Mohammed. I requested him after reading the reviews online and he did not disappoint. Mohammed was absolutely fabulous. His knowledge of all things Egypt was incredible. He did tell us he taught the subject and had a degree in Egyptology. We had three ships excursions all rolled up into one with Luxor Private Tours. Our first stop was the Valley of the Kings. A totally amazing place. Wear your comfortable walking shoes. Bring a sun visor and water bottle. Then off to the Alabaster factory where we watched men use primitive ancient techniques to cut and polish alabaster. Yes, you can buy machine made items there too. The highlight of my visit to the Alabaster factory was a man asking my husband how many camels he would accept for me. That was funny. Next, Hatshepsut Temple, Temple of Amenhotsep, a delicious lunch on a Falucca on the Nile River, then last but not least, The Temple of Karnak. That place is magnificent in its size, scale, and mystery. How in this world did they build that place? Give yourselves four hours or more to get back to your ship. We left Luxor at five pm, made quick bathroom break and arrived to the port at nine pm. Also: We had taken an overnight tour with Luxor Private Tours a few days earlier in Cairo and Alexandria. It was equally safe and enjoyable. Should you want the Egyptian Cartouche as a souvenir, order it from Ash in advance. Thank you Ash and Luxor Private Tours.

Whirlwind fantastic 2 day Tour of Cairo & Luxor

We arrived in Safaga Port by cruise ship and did a whirlwind 2 day Private tour with Luxor Day Tours from Safaga Port. Ash, the Owner, could not do enough for us, he booked flights, accommodation and tours. It was amazing and crammed full of lifetime experiences. Ash was always available to us and ensured that the whole trip ran smoothing and he also ensured that we made the most of our limited time in Egypt. He also made arrangements for our next stop at Jordan. After arriving is Safaga we caught a flight to Cairo, did the Cairo Museum and the Pyramids, we then caught a late flight to Luxor, Ash and is beautiful son met us at the airport and took us out for a wonderful authentic meal. He booked us a great 5 star hotel in Luxor, then we were met the next morning by Mouhammad, who is an extremely kind and knowledgeable tour guide, with him we visited the Valley of the Kings an Alabaster Factory and then met Ash and had a beautiful and memorable lunch on a felucca on the Nile. Sadly we then travelled by road to rejoin our cruise. I cannot recommend them highly enough, extremely trustworthy and honest. Only negative is that we wanted to stay longer!!

Excellent private tour from Safaga Port to Luxor

Thank you to Ash for organising an excellent trip from Safaga Port to Luxor. Easy booking process, comfortable mini van for the 3 hour journey each way. Dr Mohammed was a superb guide and Egyptologist, plenty of information but not overwhelming and the tour was customised at every step for our group of 4. Surprise highlight was lunch on a felucca sailing the Nile. Highly recommend.

Drop Ash as the viatour Safaga Viatour Trip Provioder

The meeting point was not clear and caused delays. the excuse was that I was not reachable on Whatsapp. There was no attempt to phone me or to contact me via email. My phone was active in Egypt. There can be no excuses for total the lack of communication. I had to call Viatour in New York to find out what was going on, and to get service from the on site provider. The trip was supposed to be solo as I paid for a car driver and guide. To my great surprise I had to travel with another person who was unpleasant,. self centered, ignorant, and had no regard for me as the other passenger in the vehicle The only bright spot was Dr. Mohammed, the guide he was knowledgeable, well organized and a very pleasant person.

Unforgettable Trip to Cairo and Luxor

I am pleased to share my experience with Luxor Private Tour, a tour company that organized our visit to both Cairo and Luxor, Egypt. Our trip was remarkable because we arrived on a cruise ship and were picked up at the port in Safaga and driven to Cairo for the day. There were three drivers in our van that were instructed to get us to Cairo as quickly as possible. And they did! Despite the long drive, everything went smoothly, and we were able to see the Pyramids and the Sphinx, which is an experience that should not be missed when visiting Egypt. Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and provided fascinating insights into the history of these iconic landmarks. After the tour of Cairo, the company made sure we were transferred to the airport in time for our flight to Luxor, where we were picked up and shown to our hotel. The next morning, we had an incredible hot air balloon ride over the Valley of the Kings, which was a highlight of the trip. The tour company took care of everything meticulously, ensuring that all booking aspects were taken care of, and all flight and hotel arrangements were made flawlessly. Our Luxor tour guide, Mohammed, was incredibly knowledgeable and provided a professional and informative tour. We were impressed by his insights into the history and culture of Egypt. Plus, we enjoyed his company. Ash, the tour coordinator, was always available and efficient in ensuring that everything ran smoothly. And as an added bonus, Ash joined us for a catered lunch on a private boat on the Nile, which was a lovely touch and a great opportunity to enjoy local, Egyptian food. Overall, Luxor Private Tours did an exceptional job of organizing our trip from the port in Safaga to Cairo and Luxor. The professionalism and attention to detail by Ash made the tour a truly unforgettable experience. We felt safe and well taken care of throughout the journey, and we highly recommend this tour company to anyone visiting Cairo or Luxor, especially if you are arriving by cruise ship!

A memory forever.

We had an exceptional experience with our Luxor Day Tour from Safaga. We were met at the port and the experience throughout the day was first class. Mohamed was our guide and the depth of knowledge he shared about his country’s history and culture was amazing.
