Breathtaking trip with Prof Ahmed Elsisi.
Wow. An unforgettable experience and one of the best days of our lives.
Blown away completely by it.
Our driver Ahmed Saleah picked us up from Hurghada and was brilliant and highly professional.
Our tour guide Prof. Ahmed Elsisi was a charming guide, extremely knowledgeable and full of information which was delivered in an easy to understand and at times humour. He clearly had so much more to tell us but kept it within our own knowledge so as not to overwhelm.
The balloon trip was simply great and my wife's favourite bit. The numerous temples and the palaces we visited were amazing.
All in all this trip was one of our bucket list wishes and there were many moments that were real pinch me moments and the memories will last a life time. Thank you.

The best thing to come out of Egypt since Mo Salah!
Where to start! This was by far the best tour I have taken and I’ve taken many around the world. Incredible value and bang for your buck!
We were picked up promptly and driven from our hotel in Hurghada to Luxor in a modern air conditioned car. Our driver Mahmoud, who was with us throughout our tour was thoughtful, safe and the ultimate professional opening doors and providing unlimited cold drinks.
We arrived in Luxor where we were warmly welcomed by Professor Ahmed Elsisi (The Prof as my wife and I named him) our expert guide and Egyptologist. He is one of the most knowledgeable and warm human beings you will ever meet. The best thing to come out of Egypt since Mo Salah!!
Arriving at around 7pm he took us to a local eatery and then whizzed us around the breathtaking Luxor Temple before dropping us at our perfectly adequate budget hotel.
We were picked up by the balloon company at 4.30am and taken to the launch area. Words cannot describe sunrise in a hot air balloon over the Valley of the Kings so I’ll attach a photo.
The rest of the day was over to The Prof. He knew everyone and was clearly liked and respected by everyone from the other tour guides to the hawkers and the toilet attendants. He never bombarded us with facts but rather told a story and brought these incredible historic sites to life. A real sage. We felt lucky to have spent this time with him. We toured the Valley of the Kings and all the other major sights - just breathtaking.
Legacy Tours were efficient and everything ran like clockwork. They obviously choose their partners and employees well and know their onions!

Wow. Wow. Wow. I rarely write reviews but I couldn’t ignore writing a review for what has been the tour of a lifetime. From start to finish, everything has been perfect. Legacy Tours have communicated efficiently at every step of the way to ensure our trip was exactly as we wished for it to be.
We had originally planned a single day trip but Legacy Tours amended this to an overnight tour, and we are delighted they did. Luxor Temple in the evening, away from the heat and madness was staggering (and having a decent rest before the busy day ahead was much appreciated).
Our driver, Mahmoud - what a superstar. Driving proficiently, safely and such good company - and with total comfort (and cold drinks en route)! Nothing was too much trouble, even when we asked for a coffee stop. I could not recommend him enough… you are in safe and kind hands.
However, our guide and Egyptologist was the legend that is Professor ‘The Prof’ Ahmed Elsisi - he is the cherry on top of the icing. His knowledge, warmth, humour, professionalism and passion is quite something to behold. I have never felt more assured, better led or as cared for as we did with our new lovely friend ‘The Prof’.
The trip itself: incredible. The balloon ride was like something out of the movies: picturesque, serene, totally emotional! Our pilot was brilliant - fun, professional, experienced, happy. From a girl who doesn’t do heights, you would never know you were off the ground. If you ever want to experience a hot-air balloon ride, Luxor is the place to do it (the views at sunrise over The Valley of The Kings… oh my!).
From start to finish, the whole experience was unparalleled by any tour I’ve ever been on - with our own photoshoot (literally, our own shoot!), great food, the planned tour, the storytelling (by The Prof) and the mind-blowing monuments, tombs, history and art work. Sailing on our private boat on the Nile and seeing King Tut and his tomb were just the extra bonus.
I have always wanted to go to Egypt to see the pyramids (which I now have), but I would easily recommend Luxor as a place to visit too (and we will definitely be back to see more of Luxor).

Ballonvaart met gids door de vallei van de koningen
Onze gids professor Ahmed Elsisi was zeer deskundig en maakte de ervaring zowel leuk als interessant.
De ervaring van start tot finish was eerste klas van onze chauffeur die ons naar Luxor reed vanuit Hurghada tot de piloot en het grondpersoneel bij de Heteluchtballon. Op een uitzonderlijk warme dag werd in alle opzichten aan onze behoeften voldaan.
Zou het iedereen aanraden.

Wir waren rundum zufrieden! Die Ballonfahrt bei Sonnenaufgang war traumhaft – sicher, stressfrei und wunderschön organisiert. Der erfahrene Kapitän und der freundliche Fotograf (bereitgestellt von Lagancy) machten das Erlebnis perfekt.
Besonders hervorheben möchten wir unseren Reiseleiter Mark: Er spricht ausgezeichnet Deutsch, ist herzlich, fürsorglich und verfügt über beeindruckendes historisches Wissen – genau dosiert und auf unsere Interessen abgestimmt. Selbst unser 9-jähriger Sohn war begeistert vom Tal der Könige, obwohl wir vorher Zweifel hatten, ob es für ihn spannend genug wäre. Seine Fotos und Videos mit Musik waren das i-Tüpfelchen.
Auch unser Fahrer war sehr nett, zuverlässig und das Auto komfortabel – ideal für die Fahrt mit Kind. Dank der Übernachtung im Vorfeld starteten wir ausgeschlafen und entspannt in den Tag.
Die gesamte Planung wurde flexibel an unsere Wünsche angepasst – Ablauf, Tempo und Inhalte waren ganz auf uns abgestimmt. Wir fühlten uns bei Lagancy wie VIP-Gäste mit privater, persönlicher Betreuung – definitiv besser aufgehoben als viele andere Touristengruppen, die wir unterwegs gesehen haben.
Ein rundum gelungenes Erlebnis, das wir wärmstens weiterempfehlen!

Onvergetelijke ervaring
Uitstekende tocht op de Heteluchtballon boven Luxor een onvergetelijke ervaring, onze chauffeur voor de dag was Boomba die goed voor ons zorgde, inclusief drankjes en tussenstops. Onze gids professor Ahmed was aardig en beantwoordde al onze vragen hij was zeer goed geïnformeerd over het oude Egypte dat was zeer indrukwekkend. Ook inbegrepen was ontbijt en lunch in restaurant Parijs proeven van lokale Egyptische gerechten. Onze gids Ahmed nam ons ook mee op een Nijl boottocht die niet was inbegrepen in onze tour dus dank u we vonden IT geweldig. Kon niet vragen voor een betere reis dus dank aan onze chauffeur en gids en het personeel van restaurant Parijs.

Excellent experience and the "what to expect" was exactly what was detailed!
The tour guide and Egyptologist was very knowledgeable on ancient history and was very helpful and took his time with us to tell his stories!
The hot air balloon flight was absolutely amazing and a memory I will forever cherish!
Food at Paris was very nice and it was good to taste the local cuisine.
Big shout out to Boomba our driver for providing water and looking after us from leaving our hotel in Hurghada to our returns.
Overall I would highly recommend this trip and well done to both guide and driver.
Memories were certainly made!

Een onvergetelijke reis!
Een echt onvergetelijke reis. We werden om 23.00 uur opgehaald bij ons hotel door onze chauffeur Mohamed die ons de 4 uur naar Luxor reed. Hier stopten we voor het ontbijt in een restaurant, dat was heerlijk, maar we waren helaas op meerdere gelegenheden gemaakt om zich zeer ongemakkelijk voelen door twee mannelijke werknemers die ons enthousiast om te vertrekken maakte. Hoewel het geen deel uitmaakt van het bedrijf vinden we het belangrijk om te benadrukken.
Na het ontbijt werden we opgehaald per minibus en naar de heteluchtballonnen gebracht, hier ontmoetten we onze mooie fotograaf Islam die een aantal ongelooflijke foto's voor ons nam die we voor altijd zullen koesteren! De Heteluchtballon was een magische ervaring, met een uitzonderlijk uitzicht op de zonsopgang en een inzicht in het leven voor degenen die beneden in Luxor wonen. Alle betrokkenen werkten hard om ons veilig te houden en elke zorg om hoog van de grond te komen verdween snel.
We ontmoetten onze gids Ahmed en gingen naar de vallei der koningen, waar we de drie graven met hem aan onze zijde verkenden. Ahmed was een uitzonderlijke verhalenverteller, die zijn passie en kennis voor alles wat met Egypte te maken heeft toonde. . Hij toonde ook zijn fotografievaardigheden door veel foto's voor ons te maken. Eenmaal klaar hier gingen we naar een kunstenaarsworkshop, waar we ontdekten hoe de kunstenaars verschillende sculpturen maken, zelf een gokje wagen en zelfs vertrekken met onze eigen wat een hoogtepunt was.
Door ziekte hebben we onze reis afgebroken, wat enorm tegenviel maar Ahmed was uitzonderlijk vriendelijk en meer dan begripvol.
Als twee jonge vrouwtjes waren we bang om zo'n lange reis alleen te maken, maar onze chauffeur Mohamed elimineerde die angsten snel met zijn charmante persoonlijkheid. Hij deed zijn uiterste best om ons comfortabel te laten voelen, chatten en lachen met ons die een lange autorit een beetje dragelijker maakte. Dus extra dank aan hem!
Deze reis was echt onvergetelijk en ik zou niet aarzelen om weer met hen te boeken als ik het geluk heb om terug te keren naar Egypte. Als u erover nadenkt - boek gewoon. . u zult niet teleurgesteld worden!

Een heerlijke dag vol belevenis in Luxor
Deze tour was een onvergetelijke en uitgebreide manier om de schoonheid van Luxor te ervaren. Van de adembenemende ochtendballonvaart — met een prachtig uitzicht over Luxor van bovenaf — tot een bezoek aan de oude monumenten en majestueuze tempels, de dag zat vol geschiedenis en ontzag — inspirerende bezienswaardigheden.
Ik had het geluk dat ik werd begeleid door de geweldige Samira, die ongelooflijk goed geïnformeerd was, elke vraag beantwoordde en ervoor zorgde dat ik me tijdens de tour begeleid en geïnformeerd voelde. Haar inzichten voegden zoveel waarde toe aan de ervaring.
Ik beveel deze tour aan iedereen die Egypte bezoekt. Zorg er wel voor dat je vooruit plant — vooral voor de 4 uur durende rondrit, die vermoeiend kan zijn. Maar als je er eenmaal bent, is elk moment het waard!
