Highly satisfied with great experience

Our tour guide Rahma was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. She explained all the history very elaborately and guided us as a dear friend. We will definitely prefer to be guided by such person and recommends others too.

Positive experience with knowledgable and helpful guide

We had a good experience with the tour. We visited Saqqara, Dashur and Memphis, including the three pyramids: Djoser, Bent and Red - and entered the last two. Our guide Akram was very helpful and knowledgable, and guided us through all the sights and practical hassle. Thank you for having us!

Tour to Saqqara

Rana was a lovely guide, she organised everything for us and made the whole day smooth and easy. She has a clear passion and knowledge of Egyptian history. The pyramids as Saqqara and Darshur are spectacular, the entry ways to the step and red pyramid are quite narrow and crampt (challenging for some) but well worth it. We also had a delicious meal (accommodating of vegans as well).

Great Day Out !

Very enjoyable day out to the different pyramids and Memphis. Our guide Khloud messaged the day before to welcome us and we were picked up on time. She gave valuable information about all aspects of the tour but also allowed us to wander around by ourselves which was appreciated. The pyramids were great and you could enter inside two of them, but not for the faint hearted ! We were given adequate time to explore and our request to not visit shops was not a problem. The driver drove safely as much as you can on Egyptian roads as its manic ! The meal at the end was also good quality. We were glad we chose the all inclusive tour with guide, tickets and meal as it saves a lot of hassle. Thank you both - we had a great time and a thoroughly enjoyable day.

An excellent day visiting interesting sites with a great guide and driver. Highly recommended.

We have had an amazing trip to Saqqara, Memphis and Dahsur with Kholod our guide. Kholod was an excellent guide, she gave us necessary information to understand about the sites but not too much. She managed the time very well which meant that we saw all the key things but without feeling rushed. She also asked us what we wanted and if we wanted to stop at shops, which we didn't. This was respected. The Stepped Pyramid was super interesting. In my opinion, I think I preferred this to the Giza site as there was more context to link to the pyramid - and it wasn't as busy with coaches. It was good to go into some tombs and see associated buildings. The story behind the Bent Pyramid was very interesting to hear and to go and see. After a stop at the Red Pyramid we went to the Memphis outdoor museum. It was extremly helpful when Kholod picked out the key exhibits to show us. The tour ended with an excellent lunch - to whoever arranges lunch - full marks! It was a huge portion and very tasty. Thank you to Kholod for an excellently managed day which made it very enjoyable. And hats off to Ahmed who, somehow or other, was able to stay calm in the middle of the traffic nightmare around him. We felt very safe in his car. An excellent day - highly recommended.

This review is about the...

This review is about the service and guide, and not about the places. The places are a must-visit. tldr: the experience was a 4/10 I wouldn't recommend this guide or service to another friend. The good : - Whenever we communicated, our guide Rana was sweet, and had a pleasant demeanour - The driver provided us with a smooth journey - Rana gave us quite some insights in the first place - Step Pyramids Why we won't recommend: - The whole point of getting a guide instead of booking a cab/driver is to hear the story from a human who has been educated in this field, and possibly lives here. And our guide was both - a Cairo local and certified. However, we barely had any conversation throughout the car rides. She was hyper-focused on her phone. (We were 1 hour late in the morning to our private tour, which was unfortunate, but we had some issues at the hotel, so we are hoping that didn't come in the way of how this panned out) - The guides are not allowed to enter most of the areas. So, before we enter the place and during the car rides, we expect and hope the guide will tell us stories and history about the place. While I am sure she knew more than she told us, it was not communicated to us. - During lunch, she told us where to sit and then moved on to join the other guides at the tent. While not sitting with us is a choice we respect, the guide should ideally be telling us about what is included in the lunch, etc. She was nowhere to be found. Found that very impersonal. (the food was good) - This point was very crucial in disappointing us: After the up and down climb at the Red Pyramid, we learnt that it is an extremely strenuous task (especially in the heat), and that it would be great to keep water handy in the car. She was aware we didn't have water bottles with us, and while we got back huffing and puffing from the pyramid, neither did the guide ask us how the experience was, offer us water, or offer to buy or have it prepared. Funnily, an AI search online would warn you that the red pyramid climb could be a lot for someone who is claustrophobic, has weak knees, or has anxiety/BP issues (AI was right), but our guide did not care to. We went on other tours in Luxor and Alexndiria, and the experiences were more personal, and informative. This one disappointed.
