Fabulous food tour
If you want to get into the belly of Cairo and gain some understanding of its history and rich culture and enjoy some amazing local food then look no further Ahmed will be sure to look after you with his warm and friendly company. He is an encyclopaedia of knowledge and made us feel at home . He took us to some amazing local restaurants that have served delicious Egyptian food for generations . One of the best food tours my wife and I have done . Thanks you once again Ahmed.

Amazing food and even better conversation
The tour felt more like friends catching up over good local food instead of the generic food tour business. All the spots we went to were local places with no English menus. Getting to know the people that owned the shops. Ahmed is an amazing guide and you will definitely enjoy this tour

Fun and Interesting Evening with Amazing Hosts
Ahmed and Sharouk are both wonderful hosts.
We had taken a walk around Old Cairo before meeting the tour group and were running about 10 minutes late. Ahmed was very understanding and reassured us not to rush. We arrived and were greeted warmly.
The tour starts at a local Juice Bar where we sampled local sugar cane juice and fresh hibiscus juice.
They take you on a walk through the Cairo streets stopping at lots of local family run restaurants and food stands. You will get to sample several of Egypt's staple dishes with the couple providing a wealth of information not only about the food but also about Egyptian culture. The dishes were chosen to represent what is eaten locally for Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and Dessert.
Ahmed is multilingual and was providing translations if some members of our small group were struggling with English.
I highly recommend this fun evening in the lively if chaotic streets of Cairo.

Een écht lokale ervaring!
Ahmed en zijn vrouw zijn erg gastvrij en ze informeren je echt over Egypte en zijn cultuur. Het is een lange (maar de moeite waard) ervaring en je krijgt je geld terug met de hoeveelheid voedselproeverijen en bezochte plaatsen. Het is een must-do voor iedereen in Caïro!

Such a memorable experience
We had such an incredible time with Ahmed and his family. We as 4 girls in our 20s and learned so much about local Egyptian culture and food. We spent time with their two daughters Maria and Karma. Such a beautiful and welcoming family. This was our favorite part of our trip to Egypt.

MUST DO EXPERIENCE !!!!!
Great communication prior to meeting; Ahmed met us on time at the pre-arranged point and the variety of dishes was fantastic! Friendly and engaging conversation all night. He explained all about history and ingredients of the dishes too! Ahmed also ensured we caught our correct Uber at the end of the night. Definitely a must do experience when in Cairo. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Wonderful time!
A lot of food for the money. I was extra full by the end. Wonderful food spots. Guides are very passionate about Egypt and very knowledgeable. Food is delicious. You really feel like you’re trying local spots and not touristy spots but still getting a great overall experience. It’s not over burdensome in terms of walking either yet you still get a good feel of the area. It’s truly an enjoyable experience that I highly recommend trying!

Ahmed was een geweldige gids! Hij was vriendelijk, deskundig en maakte de hele ervaring zowel leuk als leerzaam. Mijn man en ik hebben zo'n geweldige tijd gehad, en ik heb deze tour eigenlijk geboekt als onderdeel van de verjaardagsviering van mijn man. Aangezien hij in wezen een local was geworden, waren we niet zeker hoeveel nieuws we zouden leren, maar Ahmed maakte de ervaring toch boeiend en deelde interessante geschiedenis en feiten waar we beiden van genoten. Zijn passie, professionaliteit en warme persoonlijkheid maakten de tour onvergetelijk. We bevelen sterk aan om te boeken bij Ahmed als je op zoek bent naar een plezierige en informatieve ervaring!

Highly recommend to EVERYONE
Absolutely recommend for anyone visiting Cairo!! Shorouk was an incredible guide and I also feel like a left with a new friend 💕 We took the tour with my husband and 3 kids (ages 5-14) plus my mom and stepfather, and it was perfect for all ages. We learned so much about Egyptian food (even got to watch much of it made from scratch!) but also learned even more about Egyptian culture and lifestyle. The food was delicious! My mom was worried she wouldn't like anything and she ended up liking EVERYTHING. I can't recommend this tour and this wonderful family enough ♥️
