EXCELLENT!
I would highly recommend Journey to Egypt for this trip. We were assigned with John, as our private guide for the four days. I couldn’t speak more highly of John, how friendly he is, and his knowledge. He explained so much to us about all of the different temples that we saw, in Luxor, and also in Aswan.
Any time that we had any questions, John was incredibly professional and helpful. I would definitely say that John was very eager to help, and we are sad that we don’t have his company for the rest of our trip!
Overall was an excellent trip, Egypt has felt like a wonderfully safe and pleasant place to visit so far.

Exceptional guide, amazing trip!
I had a wonderful experience with Journey to Egypt travel agency from start to finish. Marina, my agent, was extremely helpful and informative—she guided me through planning our trip and selecting the right Nile cruise. The payment process was smooth and convenient, especially with the option for our group of four to pay separately.
We chose the MS Hamees from the Movenpick line. The cruise itself was very nice, and what truly stood out was the staff and the food. Every meal offered a wide variety and was different from the last—consistently excellent. The only downside was that, at times, the smell of gasoline was noticeable when multiple cruises were docked side by side.
The highlight of our entire journey, however, was our tour leader, John. Without exaggeration, he is one of the best guides I’ve ever had. John was professional, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable. His time management was flawless—he would share background information during our car rides, then provide detailed explanations at each site while also giving us enough free time for photos and exploration.
Beyond guiding, he went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. He checked in on our rooms, arranged for a late checkout, and even made sure we were properly taken care of when dropped off at the airport. Thanks to his efforts, our experience was not only memorable but truly stress-free.
I highly recommend Journey to Egypt, and if you have the chance to travel with John as your guide, you’re in for an exceptional experience.

Great cruise! Excellent tour leader
We were very happy with our cruise, MS- Hamees. The cruise was very clean, staff were super helpful and food was amazing! Our tour leader, John, was excellent ! He was very knowledgeable, organized, helpful and kind. He made our journey very smooth and enjoyable despite the hot weather in September.

Aswan to Luxor highlights
Communication from the start was very good. Received email confirmation about the tour and our guide John contacted me on WhatsApp to arrange the hotel pick up.
Each days itinerary was clearly explained by our guide John. Optional extras were explained but not pushed on us so we felt comfortable deciding what we wanted to do.
Each site we went to had our own driver which made the trips fast and reliable. John provided very clear and knowledgeable information about the sites and history of each one. He guided us around all the sights, pointing out important writings and statues so we didn’t miss anything. Plenty of free time at each site to explore ourselves also. The boat was very comfortable and meals were very good with lots of variety.
Me and my partner couldn’t be happier with the last few days.

Our tour guide Michael was the best. He explained everything to us in great detail, ge had an answer to all of our questions and was always at our side. Since the beginning of September is still quite hot, we always left really early (recommend by Michael) which was a really good choice, since it wasn't as hot and also not as crowded at the differnet sites we visited (one more stunning than the other by the way). The ship we had on the cruise also left no wishes open und the staff was really attentive and treated us warmly and with gret hospitality. We will definitely recommend this trip to family and friends

Great service
While our boat definitely needed updating, our tour guide was the best! John was so knowledgeable and answered all questions. I got sick and he even went out and got medication for me. The crew of the ship were excellent and so helpful. Always asking if I felt better. Would definitely do this trip again.

Magnificent Egyptian historical adventure with Michael
Magnificent, blow mind, must do, once in a lifetime experience. The ship overall was excellent, clean, inviting, excellent service, food was good.
The sites were magnificent.
Our guide Michael was magical, knowledgeable, caring, it was truly a wonderful experience, and Michael made a great experience for us even better.
My wife and I will certainly recommend this to our friends .

Wonders of Egypt what a fantastic experience
The organisation was top class, effortless for us to fully enjoy the experience. Our tour guide Michael, was the most helpful and knowledgeable person, he made everyone feel incredibly at ease and his delivery of in depth information of every element of the tour was encyclopedic.
I would strongly recommend him. The tour can be intensive with some early starts but I wouldn't have missed any of it for an extra hour in bed.
What a life time experience, great memories made of a truly exceptional experience.

First class Nile family cruise
Absolutely wonderful experience for our family. So happy with every aspect of the holiday. From the moment we were met at the hotel to the final drop off, we were so well looked after, and guided expertly by fantastic Egyptologist, John, around the amazing sites from Aswan to Luxor.
First class experience on board Merit Dahabiya, with great food, lots of space, a cold tub and great great service.
Travelling with 3 kids (between 9 and 16) it was very educational to be guided by John at each site. Abu Simbel, Valley of the Kings, Karnak to name a few. Wonderfully preserved, must-see places.
Very pleased to choose the Dahabiya, which had only 13 guests (3 groups), compared to the large cruisers. Amazing floating along the Nile at night time and docking away from the large ports.

So much to see and learn!
Excellent trip! Our guide, John, was very knowledgeable and made the tour really interesting and informative. The boat was great, cabins were clean, food was delicious, staff was really nice, and the deck was great for relaxing in the evenings. While the tours start very early, it was well worth it to avoid crowds, lines, and heat. There is plenty of downtime while sailing where one can relax.
