Dit is niet alleen een bezoek aan een Nubisch dorp — het is een kans om het Nubische leven van binnenuit te ervaren. Je reis begint aan boord van een traditionele Nubische zeilboot. Onderweg word je vergezeld door een lokale Nubische Gids die geboren en getogen is in de gemeenschap en persoonlijke verhalen, tradities en inzichten deelt die je niet in reisgidsen zult vinden. In tegenstelling tot standaard sightseeing tours, wordt u aangemoedigd om het dorp te ervaren als een gast in plaats van een toerist. Leer een paar woorden en groeten uit de Nubische taal, ontdek de betekenis achter kleurrijke Nubische huizen en krijg een dieper inzicht in lokale gebruiken, gezinsleven en tradities. Bij aankomst bezoek je een privé Nubisch huis waar lokale vrouwen je verwelkomen met traditionele thee of koffie. Ga bij elkaar zitten, wissel verhalen uit, stel vragen en geniet van oprechte gesprekken die betekenisvolle culturele verbindingen creëren. Ontmoet Nubië door Nubische ogen.
Eerst haalt onze gids u op bij uw hotel of Nijlcruise in Aswan om een uur lang te genieten van zeilen op de Nijlrivier met felucca (Nubian Sail Boat) en stapt u over op een motorboot die u naar het strand van Nubian Village brengt om te genieten van zwemmen in de Nijl (optioneel) en vervolgens naar het Nubische dorp zelf dat op de Westelijke Jordaanoever van de Nijl ligt, tegenover Soheil Island en in de buurt van de Aswan Dam. Daar ontmoet en communiceert u met een Nubische familie en leert u over hun eenvoudige levensstijl, cultuur, taal, tradities en hun unieke stijl van gebouwen met kleurrijke decoraties. Daarna wordt u terug gebracht naar uw hotel of Nijlcruise in Aswan.

Really worth. Good sailing tour and the motorboat slovly takes you up river to see the area and the sandy beach where you can take a swim. Omar our guide was very good and explained the Nubian history and showed the village with no rush.

Wow! Had a wonderful afternoon exploring the Nubian village with Omar and his team. It was the perfect day. He was punctual and very professional. Everything went smoothly. I would’ve liked a little more time to explore the local crafts for souvenirs. Perhaps a few minutes can be built into the tour for shopping. The camel ride, holding a baby crocodile, learning about and sampling herbs and spices from Dr Tito, and swimming in the Nile were highlights. Hibiscus tea was delicious. Highly recommend this tour that is run by Nubians.

Omar was an incredible guide, one of the best we had during our 9 day trip across Aswan, Luxor, and Cairo. His love and pride for his Nubian culture could not be replicated with another guide. Additionally the transportation - car & boat - were far above par from our other tours. We deeply appreciated the thoughtful gestures such as cold mango and chai on the boat ride. Omar was so helpful that he was able to help us get a car to Abu Simbel when another tour fell through. The Nubian community and tour guide community connected through Omar are incredibly hospitable and kind.

Un'escursione fantastica che raccomando di cuore a chiunque voglia vivere la vera essenza locale! Il giro in feluca ad Assuan è stato incredibilmente rilassante, facendoci scivolare dolcemente lungo le acque del Nilo. La vera forza del tour è stata la nostra guida, Moataz: semplicemente bravissimo, super sorridente e sempre coinvolgente. Ci ha riempito di spiegazioni ed è stato disponibilissimo nel rispondere a ogni nostra curiosità sia su Assuan che sulla cultura nubiana. Una volta arrivati al villaggio nubiano, abbiamo visitato un'autentica casa tipica e passeggiato tra le sue caratteristiche stradine. Un'esperienza autentica che consiglio assolutamente!

We had an absolutely fabulous afternoon with Omar on the tour. We were picked up promptly from our hotel and taken on a gorgeous felucca up the Nile before heading back down to the Nubian village. We stopped off for a little swim before exploring the village and having some lovely hibiscus tea and snacks. Omar was kind, attentive and fascinating with his tales of the Nubian culture and life. Finally we had a gorgeous sunset trip back to Aswan where he kindly had the boat drop us off at a restaurant he recommended (absolutely delicious!). 100% recommend if you are in Aswan.

We had an amazing time with Omar on this tour! We wanted tour that was a break from all the temple/ancient Egypt tours and experience a “local/slice of life” vibe..this was a perfect option! Omar picked us up at our boat lobby and took us on his brother’s felucca, which was beautifully decorated and was extremely comfortable. We were presented with Egyptian tea and had a chat about Nubian life. We sailed through the Nile and he explained the history along the banks of Aswan and even stopped for a quick dip in the Nile to cool off (what a unique experience)! We then visited a beautiful Nubian village, visited a local home, and sampled some homemade dishes. The whole experience was amazing. We felt safe and Omar was very friendly and knowledgeable. We highly recommend this tour!
