Michael Edward was an incredible guide throughout our tour from Aswan to Luxor. He was warm, kind, approachable, and made us feel completely comfortable from the very beginning — as if we had known him for years. Thanks to his deep knowledge, every visit to the temples and historical sites became a truly enriching experience.
He made sure everything was perfectly organized at all times and handled every request we had with great care and diligence. Without a doubt, he is highly recommended, and his presence significantly enhanced our entire experience. I have no doubt that he must be one of the best guides in Egypt.

Amazing trip, a must
This is part two of the review, after finish Cairo and Alexandria, company fly us down to Aswan start our Neil river cruise.
We had an amazing time on our trip! Just a heads-up: it can be a bit taxing on the body because of the early starts, but it’s worth it to beat the crowds and the southern Egypt heat. Our guide, George Edward, was the highlight of the trip. He handled all the logistics around the Nile cruise perfectly and always gave us a clear plan for the following day.
If you aren't an expert in Egyptian history, you absolutely need to do this trip with an Egyptologist. They bring the sites to life in a way you can't get on your own. Everything was smooth, enjoyable, and highly recommended

Best tour guide in Egypt…maybe the world
This was one of the best experiences we had on a guided tour. We’ve visited Egypt multiple times and have done the three different Nile cruises. This one was by far the absolute best. And it’s because of our tour guide Michael Edward. He is so knowledgeable, gracious, and kind. He made every temple visit a lively and personal event. You feel like you are a member of his family from the first day. And when it was time to end our cruise, we were all very sad to leave him.
If you’re doing a Nile cruise there is no better guide. Request Michael Edward by name and you will be guaranteed the best experience. Thank you Michael for life long memories!

From the moment we met him, it was clear we were in the hands of someone not only intelligent and highly educated, but effortlessly charming and genuinely funny—the kind of person who makes long days of exploring feel like time spent with a very knowledgeable friend. His depth of understanding of Egyptian history is remarkable, and his ability to read and explain hieroglyphics adds a whole extra layer of awe to every site you visit.
Traveling with Michael along the Nile was an experience in itself. He stayed with us throughout the cruise, seamlessly guiding us from one incredible stop to the next while making everything feel easy and well-paced. Most amazing tour guide ever - Michael Edward
If you’re thinking about a Nile cruise—do it. And if you get the chance to have Michael Edward as your guide, congratulations, you’ve already won the lottery.
We’ve been traveling for over 30 years, across more countries than we can count (and with more tour guides than we care to admit), and Michael is hands-down the best we’ve ever had. Not even close.
His knowledge is unreal—like having a walking, talking Egyptology encyclopedia, but one that’s actually fun at dinner. He somehow manages to make thousands of years of history feel alive, effortless, and genuinely fascinating (yes, even in the heat). Every temple, tomb, and ruin came with stories, context, and little details you’d never pick up on your own.
But what really sets him apart is the way he takes care of you. Everything just… works. Seamless timing, zero stress, and the feeling that someone has thought of absolutely everything before you even realize you need it. Add to that his warmth, humor, and ability to make everyone feel like part of the group, and you’ve got something pretty special.

A trip to remember
If you book any tour, make it this one! From the moment our plane landed at Aswan airport, we were taken care of. Our private guide, Mahmoud, spent the next four days by our side, sharing his wealth of knowledge at every temple and landmark we visited. His multiple degrees in ancient Egyptian, Greek, and Roman history made the trip not only fun, but incredibly informative.
The hospitality is unmatched! Every site ticket was handled, every ride by car, boat, or horse-drawn carriage was arranged, and they even kept us stocked with water and on-the-go breakfast.
I can’t say enough great things about Mahmoud and the awesome drivers we had throughout the trip. Do yourself a favor and book with this agency, it’s as hands-free as it gets. Thank you, Mahmoud and Luxor & Aswan Travel Agency. We had the best time and will never forget this trip.

Incredible experience on the Nile!
My wife and I sailed on the Jaz Viceroy from Aswan to Luxor for three nights as part of our honeymoon trip to Egypt. We booked with Luxor and Aswan Travel, and had an outstanding experience. During the booking process, the company answered all our questions and planned everything seamlessly. The itinerary and attention to detail were perfect every step of the way, and our boat was beautiful and luxurious. Most of all, our private guide Ashraf made our trip so memorable and wonderful - he was extremely knowledgeable about Egyptian history and made our visit to every sight absolutely magical.
