Alexandria was well worth visiting. However it’s at least 3 1/2 hours each way from Cairo. Our tour guide Mahmoud was GREAT! Very knowledgeable. Lunch was subpar. Wish we would have gone somewhere else for lunch (faster) and spent more time on the bay and the current excavation.

L' escursione è stata perfetta grazie ad Heba, la nostra guida, e Ahmed, il nostro autista. La visita è stata molto interessante. Thoroughly enjoyed this tour. Mohammed was friendly, knowledgeable and funny. The tour was just as discribed. I would suggest that lunch was perhaps a little earlier than 4.30, coming off the cruise ship breakfast had been at 8.30 so it was a long time between. All round great day

I really liked this tour. Heba was a very good guide. Tour was not rushed and at a nice pace. Learnt lots about the significance of the battles. Lovely drive also along the coast from Alexandria.

My guide Heba told me a lot about Alexandria catacombs. There, we saw many tombs with whimsical drawings, and she explained to me the meaning of everything. She was nice, polite and helpful.
