A fabulous day in Cairo
This was a first class trip. I booked through Trip Advisor the week before my daughter (10yo) and I came on holiday to sharm-el-sheikh. The communication around the details were all conducted over WhatsApp and I always got prompt responses. The basic flights were very early from sharm and very late back into sharm so I paid about £100 extra for a shorter day. We opted for the private tour and am glad we did. On arrival our driver was waiting with a sign with our name. The traffic in Cairo is a nightmare but our driver skilfully navigated the journey to the museum where we met up with our guide (mostafa). The guide was superb, guiding us around the museum, explaining the significance of certain artefacts and all with a great deal of enthusiasm. He even offered to take photos of us in front of certain pieces. We then were taken to the docks for a 35 minute felluca ride on the Nile the water was pretty calm and overall a very good experience. After we had done that the driver was waiting to take us to our next stop which was a restaurant for lunch (ok - but the local cuisine isn’t ideal for kids). After lunch we were taken to the pyramids/sphinx area. Again the guide was brilliant and helped make a special day that little bit better. We then had a brief stop at a papyrus museum where we where showed how papyrus paper is made before the journey back to the airport. Would highly recommend this trip.

Ali is awesome
Ali is an amazingly knowledgeable guy who had an answer to every question we had about ancient Egypt. He packed in loads of activities into our tour and overall the trip was fantastic and would highly recommend him to others. My only comment would be a bit more time spent at each monuments and a bit less time shopping although we do realise the little time we had.

Well organised & jam packed day
The tour was very well organised with Ahmed contacting me prior on WhatsApp to confirm all the details such as transport and arrangements. We had a private driver and our Egyptologist (Ms. Anan) was fantastic company with perfect English, guiding us round the pyramids and through the museum sharing her knowledge and bringing artefacts to life! Would highly recommend.

Great Experience Touring Cairo
Had a fantastic time exploring Cairo. Experience was as described. Our tour guide was knowledgeable, passionate about the history of Egypt, accommodating and it was nice having a private tour.
We were picked up from our hotel and transported to Cairo airport from Sharm-el-sheikh, was picked up when we arrived and tour guide met us not far from the museum which was our first stop. Guide was patient as we had a 3 year old who was less interested in walking around the museum
Visited the pyramids of Giza (i stepped inside the main pyramid which was amazing) and saw the Sphinx but slightly disappointed we were too late to steo inside the main cinpound to take closer look. Took loads of photos. Taken to have lunch which was really nice. Also had a private boat ride on the river Nile.
Would definitely recommend.
Note - ask about alternative flight times (if travelling outside of Cairo) as the flights included had very early start and very late return. Also be prepared for heavy sales pitches when exploring local businesses such as the papaya shop, fragrance store and antiques ship.

Outstanding tour with wonderful guide Anan.
We booked our day trip to Cairo from Sharm El Sheikh directly with Wonders of Egypt Tours. Communication was excellent pre-departure from the UK and all our queries were answered promptly, which we were very grateful for. Preparation is key for us when travelling with our teenage sons who are both autistic.
We were given the WhatsApp contact numbers of the drivers and guides prior to our day trip.
Pick up from our hotel to the airport was prompt and courteous. We were met by our lovely Cairo driver for the day on leaving the terminal building there.
We drove to Giza where we stopped at a service station with an incredible view of the pyramids! We were grateful for good coffee and a snack. There met our wonderful guide Anan, after introductions and a chat about the day we were soon on our way to the pyramids!
Arriving not long after the site opened, it was peaceful and almost felt like we had the area to ourselves for a while. Anan gave us lots of history; she’s clearly a knowledgeable Egyptologist, however she tailored it perfectly to allow our sons to process all of the information.
We thoroughly enjoyed exploring this incredible site, learning fascinating stories of the pyramids, sphinx and mummification temple whilst having plenty of opportunity for questions, photos; stopping at some wonderful vantage points.
Next stop(at our request)was a jewellery shop as we were keen to purchase a cartouches. Anan knew where to take us and ensured we were well looked after. We even got to watch the production process thanks to her.
We were ready for lunch and headed to the famous Abou Tarek for a traditional Koshary lunch, which was delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed conversations with Anan about life in Cairo and sharing with her about our life in Wales.
We headed to the museum, once again Anan shared her vast knowledge but tailoring it perfectly to our needs as a family.
Finally we took to the Nile in a traditional Felucca, which was so peaceful and interesting allowing us see Cairo from a different perspective. Before we knew it, it was time to head back to the airport.
Throughout the day we were so well taken care of by Anan, she collected all the entrance tickets for us, ordered lunch and ensured that we were comfortable and happy at all times. It was a pleasure to spend the day with her, we were so grateful to have her as our guide. Our driver was excellent, we felt extremely safe in his hands as he navigated the roads all over Cairo. He dropped and collected us from convenient locations.
My top tip would be to organise your visa for Cairo before arriving in Egypt. I tried a number of times but the website was incredibly glitchy when I attempted. Feeling I was getting too close to arrival in Egypt I opted to bring US dollars to pay for ours. You actually need the visa in order to leave Sharm El Sheikh, you don’t obtain it on arrival in Cairo which is what I was led to believe.
We were scammed in Sharm El Sheikh airport by two firm and abrupt ground staff who told us that extra money was required in order to get the visa “stamp” in addition to the visa fee. With a flight departing imminently and a fear of not making our day trip; we felt we had no choice to pay, it was quite an unpleasant experience. I have since researched and found this is allegedly a common scam at the airport here. This is obviously separate to the Wonders of Egypt Tours but I wanted to raise awareness so other tourists can be wary of this.
All in all I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Wonders of Egypt Tours, an excellent company providing high quality tours across Egypt with customer happiness and satisfaction a priority. If we’re back in Egypt we would book with them in a heart beat and we would also request our fantastic guide Anan once again. Thank you all so much for giving us many special holiday memories.

Favoloso tour di un giorno
Un'esperienza indimenticabile per noi. È stata una lunga giornata ma tutto è andato liscio e abbiamo evitato le grandi folle. Ahmed era molto professionale in tutto, parlava fluentemente inglese e ha fatto il possibile per accogliere quando volevamo fare una sosta fuori programma per un drink e foto al ristorante francese vicino alle piramidi! Era cordiale e rilassato, niente era troppo disturbo. Il nostro autista ha tessere attraverso il traffico trafficato del Cairo con grande abilità, ci siamo sentiti al sicuro in ogni momento. Giornata senza problemi con una bella crociera lungo il Nilo per concludere una giornata perfetta!

Siti spettacolari, bellezza e realtà imperdibili per vedere un ricordo incredibile.
La comunicazione tra me e la compagnia non era seconda a nessuno. Sono molto disponibile e paziente con tutte le mie domande. Ogni passo del percorso mappato e i dettagli del pick up raccontati in anticipo per tenerti al sicuro.
Autista per l'aeroporto era incredibile e ci è venuto a prendere di nuovo sulla via del ritorno.
All'arrivo al Cairo uscendo dall'aeroporto è un po 'frenetica la gente che chiede se avete bisogno di un taxi, ma sarete accolti con un già prenotato che vi verrà detto prima autista a mano. Il nostro era in ritardo di 5 minuti così abbiamo fatto a piedi intorno cercando di trovarlo, ma se si rimane all’uscita (quando si arriva a lasciare l’aeroporto proseguire dritto alla prima uscita) che è dove lui vi incontrerà e poi si cammina un paio di minuti per auto.
Prima tappa piramidi in modo da perdere la folla che è un must davvero per le foto poi la cena in un posto chiamato prima classe. Il cibo era bella scelta di hamburger (no panino) patatine o pesce o pollo. Poi per vedere una sfilata di moda (non in programma ma ne vale la pena così divertente 15 minuti) Sui lotti dei musei per vedere sorprendente. Magari chiedi qualche volta di guardarti intorno per un po 'del tuo tempo lì, poiché la guida è molto esperta. Poi il Nilo che era bello anche se niente come me lo immaginavo per assomigliare e poi di nuovo in aeroporto.
Sono contento di averlo fatto e non posso biasimare la compagnia.

Che giornata fantastica al Cairo, grazie a Wonders of Egypt Tours!
Abbiamo prenotato un viaggio last minute al Cairo (meno di 24 ore prima dell’escursione) e non potremmo essere più impressionati dall’intero processo. La comunicazione è stata superba, e ogni tappa del nostro viaggio è andato liscio.
Ali, la nostra guida turistica, è stata incredibilmente disponibile dall'inizio alla fine e ha reso il viaggio totalmente stressante - gratuito - particolarmente importante dopo un volo delle 4 del mattino!
Il tour ha organizzato tutti i trasferimenti in taxi, dall'hotel all'aeroporto e poi dall'aeroporto a Giza. Il nostro autista, Mohamed, è rimasto calmo e ha reso il viaggio sicuro nonostante il traffico caotico del Cairo. Merita davvero una medaglia per la sua guida! Si è preso cura di noi per tutto il giorno, e non lo abbiamo mai ringraziato abbastanza.
Ali ci ha accolti sulla strada per Giza ed è stato cordiale fin dall'inizio. Ha spiegato tutto chiaramente dall'inizio alla fine. La sua vasta conoscenza ci ha permesso di imparare così tanto. Ali ha presentato la storia in un modo che era facile da capire per me e mia madre, anche se avevamo poche conoscenze precedenti. Mio padre, che aveva più esperienza nella zona, ha fatto molte domande, e Ali ha risposto a tutte con competenza e passione. Credo che sarà un incredibile egittologo! Gli auguro il meglio della sua carriera e spero che scopra tesori nascosti lungo la strada.
Non farti scoraggiare da nessuna preoccupazione!
Abbiamo quasi esitato ad andare perché ci avevano detto che non c'erano voli disponibili dal nostro hotel, il che si è rivelato falso. Inoltre, avevamo sentito parlare di possibili ritardi con i voli e scarsa comunicazione da altri fornitori di tour. Tuttavia, con Wonders of Egypt, non ci sono stati ritardi! Hanno offerto diverse opzioni di volo e semplicemente ci hanno informato che il nostro volo preferito era leggermente più costoso, che eravamo felici di pagare. Siamo anche tornati prima del previsto e abbiamo avuto il tempo per la cena in hotel. Abbiamo acquistato un visto in aeroporto, che il nostro tassista ci ha aiutato a navigare, rendendo quel processo facile e stressante - gratuito pure.
Consigliamo vivamente questo tour, e se si può optare per un'esperienza privata, ne vale sicuramente la pena!

Incredibile gita di un giorno al Cairo!
La comunicazione con Ali dall'inizio alla fine per quanto riguarda i dettagli del viaggio è stato eccellente, i tempi di risposta sono stati molto rapidi e tutte le domande non importa quanto piccolo è stato risposto.
In ogni fase siamo stati accolti da un autista i cui dettagli ci sono stati forniti in anticipo. Il nostro autista al Cairo, Tamer, è stato eccellente nonostante abbia dovuto navigare in traffico insolitamente cattivo a causa di una visita presidenziale! La nostra guida per la giornata, Mustafa, è stato eccezionale. Abbiamo beneficiato molto della sua esperienza come guida turistica e della conoscenza locale, nonché della sua incredibile intuizione e passione per la storia. Ha reso l'intera giornata prendere vita e si è davvero preso cura di noi durante tutte le visite in loco.
Vedere le Piramidi e la Sfinge è stato un sogno che si è avverato per noi e anche il resto del tour che originariamente consideravamo ‘incidentali’ del viaggio è stato incredibile e li abbiamo goduti tutti immensamente.
Consigliamo vivamente questo tour, ne vale assolutamente la pena!
