Smooth Car Ride to Abu Simbel from Aswan
KOKO took me on a trip to Abu Simbel. He has a new 2025 BYD sedan with no cigarette smell and a comfortably cool air conditioning system. Highly recommended!

Fantastico viaggio Abu Simbel!
Questo tour è stato davvero eccezionale. Dall'inizio alla fine. L'autista (Hany) guida ad Abu Simbel ogni giorno, e conosce così bene la strada. Non allarmatevi se il vostro autista egiziano guida nell'altra corsia per evitare i punti difficili. La guida (Omar) parlava correntemente l'inglese e aveva studiato Egittologia, storia e inglese all'università. Entrambi hanno reso il viaggio totalmente utile, e ha assistito a ogni nostra esigenza. Omar ha pagato il golf cart, ha comprato bevande e snack aggiuntivi, ecc. Siamo rimasti così soddisfatti del fatto che abbiamo potuto trascorrere tutto il tempo che volevamo sul sito ( 2 + ore ). Bothe l'autista e la guida erano conosciuti dalle guardie di sicurezza e hanno fatto ottimi consigli per quali venditori andare. Siamo andati anche da un grossista di spezie ad Assuan. Sei stelle!

Un tour eccezionale
Con Hani come autista e Omar come guida, abbiamo avuto un viaggio sicuro e sorprendente per vedere i templi mozzafiato di Abu Simbel. Hani ci ha fatto sentire al sicuro con la sua guida su una strada altrimenti pericolosa, e Omar ha spiegato tutta la storia di Abu Simbel con grande profondità e dettaglio. Nel complesso è stata un'esperienza straordinaria che tutti i visitatori di Assuan dovrebbero sperimentare.

Good Experience — Reliable and Professional
The evening before, quite late, I contacted this company to arrange a driver. They quickly organized someone for the early morning, 4 AM, to take me to Abu Simbel. (6,5H back and forth) I had specifically asked for a professional driver, as I’d had some uncomfortable experiences in Egypt before. They sent Koko who was exactly that: professional, quiet, and reliable. He drove me safely to my destination and back without unnecessary conversation or personal questions. He made sure I had water, a snack, and even some orange juice. Just straightforward, no-nonsense service on good roads. Awesome! Made for a relaxed drive!

Tour di un giorno di Abu Simbel da Assuan
I templi di Abu Simbel sono da non perdere. Hani era il nostro autista che ci ha guidato da Assuan e ritorno. Non solo è stato cortese ed educato, ma ha assicurato il nostro comfort in ogni momento. Ha anche aiutato d organizzare tour per Luxor che non avevamo ancora pianificato. Ottimo servizio.

Early start, friendly drive and comfortable ride
Our driver, Hany, texted the night before to confirm our location and pick-up time. We chose the 4am start, which, while early, meant we were at the front of the queue when the roads opened at 5am. We stayed dowtown Cairo, so expect about a 30–40 minute wait, as there’s a long line of SUVs and buses all making the same trip. The later you leave, the further back you’ll be in the convoy, and apparently the checkpoint can sometimes (depending on where you are in the queue) can take up to an hour to clear. We met our guide, also named Hany, at Abu Simbel. He was knowledgeable and friendly, though to be honest, you could learn quite a lot just by reading up on the site beforehand. Like most key sites in Egypt, guides can’t enter the temples with you, so they provide a briefing outside. Informative, but fairly standard. Our driver, Hany, was excellent — very friendly and thoughtful about our comfort. The SUV was set up perfectly for the early start and long day, with reclining seats, curtains, snacks, and water provided. He was also supportive of us taking our time. After visiting inside we actually just sat for a little and marvelled! We took our luggage with us, as we weren't returning to our hotel, and Hany happily dropped us off at the Nubian Museum in town for us to while away a few hours before heading to the airport.

Safe and punctual driver
We did this tour with Koko. He was really nice and helpful during all the day and also a good and safe driver. The car was in excellent condition and pick up was on time. We made one stop both going to and coming back from Abu Simbel where you could buy water and some snacks. He also gave us enough time to visit the temples without feeling rushed. Besides, he also recommended us a great restaurant to try local fish, which was amazing. This is a cheaper option than other tours we saw for the same drive to Abu Simbel. All in all, a totally recommendable tour if you want to visit Abu Simbel.
