Très belle journée, les visites sont magnifiques. Le guide était sympa, parlait peu français, donc pas toujours facile de comprendre ses explications, surtout pour les enfants.
Le repas du midi était très bon, restaurant "paris".
Prévoyez bien de l'eau pour la journée, elle ne sera pas fourni et la chaleur est bien au rdv... J'avoue qu'en milieu d'après midi, ça devenait difficile... Mais tout est grandiose, on s'en prend plein les yeux !

Rewarding Day for Parents and Kids
We had a great day out with Salwa, our guide, and Elsam our driver. They were waiting for us in the hotel lobby at the agreed time, and proactively introduced themselves. The car was enough space for our family of 4 and nicely climate controlled. They also provided plenty of cold bottled water.
Salwa gave us introduction as we headed to the first site, Karnak Temple. With strategic planning they were able to keep us ahead if the large tour buses for as long as possible. Karnak was wonderful and Sales pointed out so many unique details that we would have missed without a guide. She was also very patient with our children of 5 and 8 years who wanted to run and explore.
After Karnak we headed to the Valley of Kings and Elsam keep us on track. Salwa arranged a nice intro for us with some visuals and actually managed to get the kids excited for what we were about to see with some highlights to look for in the tombs. She was also very thoughtful to help us arrange the transportation in the tombs and to stay in the shade as much as possible because it was already getting hot. The tombs were great to see and so much more interesting because we knew what to look for.
Salwa steered us away for the shops selling mass produced trinkets, and next took us to a stone carving store. I know it was very tourist focused, but the men helping us were so very thoughtful not to make it feel like pressured forced sales or tips. They also had clean toilets (Salwa advised us to skip the public toilets at the tombs in favor of here) and extra refreshments. In the end we bought a few things and they were probably more expensive, but the price felt fair for tourist shopping.
Elsam, who was always waiting a short walk from the exit of each site, then drove us a short way to The Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut. Salwa again pointed out great details and helped take family photos.
Then it was time for lunch. Although the restaurant was crowded, Salwa made sure we got food as fast as possible, and it was by far the best Egyptian food we'd had up to this point.
We had one more stop after lunch at the Luxor temple back in town. It was really getting hot so we kept it relatively short, but still saw highlights and learned more if the history thanks to Salwa. She also helped us arrange a hieroglyphic necklace for our daughter with her name and she picked it up while we finished looking around the temple. It was a really special way to end the day and very reasonably priced. They then dropped us back at the hotel after a really rewarding day. Again I really appreciated both of their patience with our small kids and their professionalism and knowledge. I would gladly recommend this tour to friends and family.

Giornata di premiazione per genitori e figli
Abbiamo avuto una grande giornata con Salwa, la nostra guida, e Elsam il nostro autista. Ci stavano aspettando nella hall dell'hotel all'ora concordata e si sono presentati in modo proattivo. La macchina era abbastanza spazio per la nostra famiglia di 4 persone e ben climatizzato. Hanno anche fornito un sacco di acqua fredda in bottiglia.
Salwa ci ha fatto conoscere mentre ci dirigevamo verso il primo sito, il Tempio di Karnak. Con la pianificazione strategica sono stati in grado di tenerci avanti se i grandi autobus turistici per il più a lungo possibile. Karnak era meraviglioso e Sales ha sottolineato così tanti dettagli unici che avremmo perso senza una guida. Era anche molto paziente con i nostri bambini di 5 e 8 anni che volevano correre ed esplorare.
Dopo Karnak ci siamo diretti alla Valle dei Re ed Elsam ci tiene in pista. Salwa ha organizzato una bella introduzione per noi con alcune immagini e in realtà è riuscito a far emozionare i bambini per quello che stavamo per vedere con alcuni punti salienti da cercare nelle tombe. Lei era anche molto premuroso per aiutarci a organizzare il trasporto nelle tombe e di rimanere all'ombra il più possibile perché stava già facendo caldo. Le tombe erano fantastiche da vedere e molto più interessanti perché sapevamo cosa cercare.
Salwa ci ha portato via per i negozi che vendono bigiotteria di massa, e poi ci ha portato in un negozio di intagli in pietra. So che era molto focalizzato sui turisti, ma gli uomini che ci aiutavano erano così molto premurosi da non farlo sentire come vendite forzate sotto pressione o mance. Avevano anche servizi igienici puliti (Salwa ci ha consigliato di saltare i bagni pubblici presso le tombe a favore di qui) e rinfreschi extra. Alla fine abbiamo comprato un paio di cose e probabilmente erano più costosi, ma il prezzo sembrava giusto per lo shopping turistico.
Elsam, che aspettava sempre a pochi passi dall'uscita di ogni sito, ci ha poi guidato per un breve tratto fino al Tempio Mortuario di Hatshepsut. Salwa ancora una volta ha sottolineato grandi dettagli e ha aiutato a scattare foto di famiglia.
Poi fu l'ora del pranzo. Anche se il ristorante era affollato, Salwa ha fatto in modo che ricevessimo cibo il più velocemente possibile, ed era di gran lunga il miglior cibo egiziano che avessimo mangiato fino a questo momento.
Abbiamo fatto un'altra sosta dopo pranzo al tempio di Luxor di nuovo in città. Stava davvero diventando caldo così abbiamo mantenuto relativamente breve, ma ancora visto punti salienti e imparato di più se la storia grazie a Salwa. Ci ha anche aiutato a organizzare una collana geroglifica per nostra figlia con il suo nome e l'ha raccolta mentre finivamo di guardare intorno al tempio. È stato un modo davvero speciale per concludere la giornata e a prezzi molto ragionevoli. Ci hanno poi riaccompagnati in hotel dopo una giornata davvero gratificante. Ancora una volta ho apprezzato molto sia la loro pazienza con i nostri bambini piccoli che la loro professionalità e conoscenza. Consiglierei volentieri questo tour ad amici e familiari.

Unforgettable day tour in Luxor with two excellent, professional gentlemen. Mahmoud is an amazing guide. With his narrative he led me on a trip back in the times of Ancient Egypt. He is very knowledgeable and offers so many interesting insights and possible explanations behind historic events. Mustafa is a great driver, he took us around safely.

The best Guide I have had so far
Salwa was an incredible guide and photographer! She was incredibly knowledgeable and was very accommodating. Abd Rahbo was a great and safe driver. I enjoyed my time with them both and was so appreciative of their hospitality throughout the trip. It was an amazing way to spend the day in Luxor. Lunch was incredible and very appreciated at the end of the long day.
