Autista meraviglioso!
Sono arrivato a Luxor con un volo EgyptAir da Londra, con scalo al Cairo. Tuttavia, non importa quanto ho aspettato, il mio bagaglio non è mai arrivato. Si è scoperto che il mio bagaglio era andato smarrito. Ci è voluta circa un'ora per completare le pratiche in ufficio. Grazie alla nostra comunicazione via WhatsApp, l'autista mi ha aspettato per tutto il tempo. Mi ha accolto con un sorriso, e quel sorriso non è mai svanito finché il tour non è finito. Che si trattasse di rifiutare negozi di souvenir e ristoranti per il pranzo, di prendere in prestito contanti nella Valle dei Re, di saltare una visita al Tempio della Regina Hatshepsut o di decidere di vedere semplicemente il Tempio di Luxor dall'esterno... sono stato davvero felice di aver incontrato un autista così meraviglioso.

Ahmed Kassem the best Egyptologist!!
Ahmed Kassem the Egyptologist was the highlight of our trip to Luxor. He has a great wealth of knowledge of all the temples, he was the perfect balance of giving information and letting us explore for ourselves. He was very thoughtful allowing us time to cool down during the heat, we had a great laugh with him throughout the day and we left with a great understanding of the history of this city and some great photos and memories. This guy was the best. Cannot recommend Ahmed enough. Absolute legend.

We love Ahmed Kassem!
Ahmed Kassem is the absolute BEST! From beginning to end, every moment was well thought out and catered for. He covered every highlight of the city perfectly and we can safely say it is probably one of the best sightseeing tours we have ever done. He is super knowledgeable, friendly, and easygoing. We would highly recommend booking with him!

まぁこんなものかな
担当してくれたドライバーさんが悪い訳ではないが、頼んでもないのにぼったくりのお土産物屋に連れて行かれたり（無料の飲み物を振舞い流暢な日本語で勧めてくる店員がいてかなり周到。消しゴムサイズのカノプス1個で25ドルとか言われます。）、ランチはドライバー手配の若干お高めの店に連れて行かれます（セット700lbドリンク代別）。
旅行前にネットで調べたらルクソールはUber使えず代わりのインドライブやカリームも捕まらないと書かれており怖くなり利用しましたが、着いてみたらインドライブが快適に利用できたので正直不用でした。インドライブの運転手は高確率で1日チャーターを勧めてきました。相場は人数ではなく1台20〜25ドル位を言ってきました。
交渉が得意ならそちらの利用をお勧めします。

Nessun trasferimento in hotel. Niente acqua.
Sono stato malissimo perché l'autista del trasporto non mi ha portato al mio hotel perché diceva che era vicino e che dovevo andare a piedi. A 44°C mi è venuto un capogiro e per poco non ho avuto un'insolazione!!!! Inoltre, nessuno (né la guida né l'autista) mi ha fornito acqua in nessun momento!!! Questo è inammissibile e ha messo a rischio la mia salute!!! Al contrario, la guida mi ha spiegato tutto perfettamente.

Incredible full-day tour of the East and West Banks with Khalid!
We had an amazing full-day tour covering both the East and West Banks, and Khalid was a fantastic driver for us! Traveling as a family of two adults and our young child, we decided to start the tour bright and early in the morning so we could arrive right at the opening of the places we wanted to visit.
Khalid's car had great air conditioning, which is an absolute must during the heavy heat of Luxor’s summer! Even though he speaks just a little bit of English, we had really good conversations together and thoroughly enjoyed chatting with him. He was also super accommodating—whenever we needed bottled water, he always made sure to get some for us. Highly recommend booking him if you need a reliable, friendly driver for your sightseeing in Luxor!
