I wasn’t going to write this review, I had provided feedback about our tour guide, Karam, and they offered to provide us a free tour as compensation, but we said “no thank you, thanks for just allowing us to provide feedback” until 5 minutes later Karam messaged me with a copy paste of my feedback saying how dissapointed he was.
So now, I’ll provide my feedback:
The tour was fine overall, but I wouldn’t reccomend it based on the tour guide.
We later found out that our tour guide was “someone they used to use”
We just felt rushed the whole time, only spent 1 hour 50 minutes at the pyramids/sphinx and this was after we asked to get more photos.
We are Australian and traveled 24 hours to see the pyramids, we would have liked the whole 3 hours (that was indicated on the itinerary)
Then after that we felt it was unorganised and we were too early for lunch anyway but he managed to find somewhere open at 11:15 for lunch.
The museum he said 30 minutes, but we just took our time.
Even at the markets, we were only there for 20 minutes.
when we were getting dropped off, he said “I’m going to get out here and get my uber, the driver will take you to your hotel”
I mentioned something about how it’s Easter weekend, and was wanting to get an understanding about how it works with Christianity and Muselims (we are both very open and actually not relgious so love to hear about other relgions) and I felt that I offended him and that instead of him speaking factually he spoke about his own beliefs.
(Prior to being in Cairo we were in luxor and did a private tour, we noticed the security around a church and our guide had said that because of the different religions in Egypt they just want to make it safe for everyone because of the Easter weekend)
Half way through the tour, I was looking at the reviews on Viator and I couldn’t see his name mentioned anywhere, so didn’t know wether people just didn’t review him or wether he wasn’t a usual guide.
His knowledge was great but felt that he spoke at us the whole time, rather than an open conversation.
If you book this tour and your tour guide is Karam, I would ask for a different tour guide.
This isn’t the first private tour we’ve done in Egypt, maybe we were expecting too much based on our previous experiences

Inizierò dicendo che non avevo intenzione di scrivere questa recensione, dopo il nostro tour di oggi ho inviato un messaggio a Zenab (in quanto è stata la prima persona a contattarmi) per informarla del nostro feedback sulla nostra guida turistica, ha cercato di fornirci un altro tour gratuito come scusa, ma ho detto no grazie e ho solo detto “grazie per avermi permesso di fornire un feedback”.
5 minuti dopo ottengo un copia incolla dalla guida turistica di ciò che le avevo scritto, e dicendo quanto fosse deluso da me per aver fornito questo feedback... così ora sto scrivendo una recensione a causa di quanto poco professionale fosse questo.
Questo è il mio onesto feedback che ho fornito:
Il tour è andato bene nel complesso, ma non lo consiglierei in base alla guida turistica.
La nostra guida turistica era Karam (mai menzionato in nessuna recensione e in seguito ha scoperto che era “ una guida che usavano” )
Ci siamo solo sentiti di fretta per tutto il tempo, solo trascorso 1 ora e 50 minuti alle piramidi / sfinge e questo è stato dopo che abbiamo chiesto di ottenere altre foto.
Siamo australiani e abbiamo viaggiato 24 ore per vedere le piramidi, ci sarebbe piaciuto l'intero 3 ore (che era indicato sull'itinerario)
Poi abbiamo sentito che non era organizzato e che eravamo comunque troppo presto per il pranzo ma è riuscito a trovare un posto aperto alle 11 : 15 a pranzo.
Il museo ha detto 30 minuti, ma ci siamo presi il nostro tempo.
Anche ai mercati, siamo stati lì solo per 20 minuti.
quando ci hanno lasciato, ha detto “Vado a prendere il mio uber, l’autista ti porterà al tuo hotel”
Ho accennato a qualcosa su come è il weekend di Pasqua, e volevo capire come funziona con il cristianesimo e i musulmani (siamo entrambi molto aperti e in realtà non religiosi quindi amiamo sentire parlare di altre religioni) e ho sentito che lo offendevo e che invece di parlare di fatto ha parlato delle sue convinzioni.
(Dovrei menzionare che prima del Cairo eravamo nel lusso e c'era un sacco di sicurezza intorno a una chiesa e abbiamo chiesto alla nostra guida turistica lì su di esso e ci ha detto perché era Pasqua e vogliono solo assicurarsi che tutto vada bene a causa delle diverse credenze religiose nel paese)
A metà del tour, stavo guardando le recensioni su Viator e non riuscivo a vedere il nome di Karams menzionato da nessuna parte, quindi non sapevo se la gente semplicemente non lo recensisse o se non fosse una guida abituale.
La sua conoscenza era grande, ma sentiva che parlava a noi tutto il tempo, piuttosto che una conversazione aperta.
Questo non è il primo tour privato che facciamo in Egitto, forse ci aspettavamo troppo in base alle nostre esperienze precedenti.
Direi di sì. Se hai Karam come guida, chiedine uno diverso

Esperienza eccellente
Consiglio vivamente questo per chiunque voglia colpire i punti salienti del Cairo / Giza in 1 giorno. La nostra guida Zaneb è stato fantastico. La giornata è iniziata con un pick-up alle 8. Ho guidato fino alle piramidi mentre la nostra guida spiegava la città e il processo di vedere le piramidi. Ho fatto un breve giro in cammello e ho ottenuto ottime foto delle piramidi. Devi pagare un extra per entrare nella grande piramide. Fa molto caldo e piccolo, ma vale l'esperienza per chi è in buona forma e che non è claustrofobico. Sono andato dalle piramidi a un negozio di profumi/oli, poi un papiro, poi una gioielleria prima di pranzo. Il pranzo è stato in un ristorante (prepagato dal tour) . Tutto ciò che si paga è bevande ed è cibo tradizionale mediorientale / medioevale. La prossima tappa è il museo egizio. Abbiamo optato fuori dal bazar alla fine. Assicurati di prenderti il tuo tempo, fare domande e divertirti!

Piramide tour, bazaar an Egyptian museum
Vandaag de hele dag een tour gehad van Fatima, het was heel indrukwekkend om te zien, heb een fijne dag gehad en veel informatie gehad al me vragen werden goed beantwoord zijn zelfs nog langs extra stops geweest waar we toevallig langs reden. Bedankt!

A day we will never forget! 👌🏻
My partner booked this tour before our visit, our tour guide arrived in the hotel entrance as agreed and was warm and friendly.
Michael and our driver then zipped us off for stop one which was the pyramids. I have been before briefly but this was all in. We explained we wanted to go inside the pyramids and Michael took us to the desk and got tickets - easy & pain free.
We arrived up to the pyramids and took pictures and were being told all about them, on we jumped to the camels and had a BLAST! Such a laugh and a moment I will never forget.
Going inside the pyramids is hot, narrow, busy but oh so worth it so do it if you go! Stopped down the bottom at the sphinx and we were told more information. Perfect!
We zipped off then to a perfume shop & a place where they make paper and you have the opportunity to buy things - we are well travelled and aware that they are tourist traps but once we said no it was no bother, no real pressure. Just be polite and say no and leave with the guide.
Lunch was lovely, roof top looking back up at the pyramids, meal was fresh, tasty & filling. Coffee I had was amazing.
Swung down lastly to the museum which we loved, Michael gave us the tour and knew his stuff. We got free time and really enjoyed visiting here.
With Michael and our driver we felt safe, well looked after and had a great time. Having Michael pays as locals don’t hassle you.
Tip them well, they will be deserving of it!

100% Cairo experience
Mo was so good. His knowledge of the area and history is excellent. His English is also very good. Nothing was too much trouble for him. We asked to make a few modifications to the day and nothing was too much trouble.
We (2 adults and 2 adult children) spent the day seeing the Pyramids and Sphinx, he helped us buy souvenirs and took us to the Egypt museum and organised for the driver to wait for us and then take us back to the hotel.
100% recommend Mo, this Company and this trip

C'erano così tante scelte quando abbiamo deciso del tour e alla fine abbiamo scelto questo. La nostra ansia è passata quando abbiamo iniziato i tour.
Mahmoud Hoka è stato fantastico, molto professionale, competente e cortese.
Ci ha inviato un sms un giorno prima circa il viaggio ed è arrivato puntuale alle 8. Ci ha dato la ripartizione della giornata e siamo partiti. Inoltre, per sua raccomandazione durante abbiamo fatto un paio di fermate extra
1 - Negozio di profumi puri a base di olio - ne vale la pena
2 - Antico negozio di papiri di carta - esperienza impressionante.
Nel corso di tutta la nostra esperienza è stato impressionante e felice di condividere qualsiasi dettaglio. Mandami un messaggio Consigliamo vivamente questa compagnia, tour e soprattutto Mahmoud Hoka! ! !

Couldn’t have been any better
Couldn’t have been better!!!
There were so many choices when we were deciding about the tour and finally we picked this. Our anxiousness went away when we started the tours.
Mahmoud Hoka was amazing, very professional, knowledgeable and courteous.
Sent us a text a day before about the trip and arrived spot on time at 8am. Gave us the breakdown of the day and off we went. In addition, per his recommendation during we made couple of extra stops
1-Oil based pure perfume shop-well worth it
2-Ancient paper papyrus shop - awesome experience.
Over all our experience was awesome and happy to share any detail. Send me a message We will highly recommend this company, tour and specially Mahmoud Hoka !!!

Incredibile per Viaggiatore Solo
Manar era la migliore guida che si potesse mai chiedere. Ha reso il giorno perfetto e ho imparato tanto da lei. Consiglio vivamente questa esperienza per i viaggiatori solitari - non sarei mai stato in grado di vedere tutto quello che ho fatto in un giorno senza la sua guida ed esperienza.
