We had a wonderful experience. Marko, the Egyptologist, was highly professional and shared many fascinating historical insights with us. He was also very kind and even provided us with water bottles, which was a thoughtful gesture. Having a knowledgeable guide is essential when visiting museums and the pyramids site. Our driver, Abdu, was punctual throughout the trip. Totally recommend this trip.

Our driver abdul was always on time from early morning. Our guide Marco was all day together with us sharing amazing egyptiologist knowledge and showing us the best spots at the best times to avoid overcroweded places on wrong timing. Really helped to also avoid any tourist scams and made sure we had an enjoyable expirience based on own flexible schedule. Highly recommended!!

Mony (Monica) was a wonderful guide throughout the day. Both during the museum visit and the discovery of the pyramids, she took us on a journey of pleasure. I recommend this tour, but especially THE guide! Everyone knows her and calls out to her at the museum and on the archaeological site... :) Visit with your eyes closed and let her guide you!

An Unforgettable Egyptian Adventure with Mostafa During our Regent Cruise, we had an overnight stop in Egypt, docking in Alexandria. While Regent offered some shore excursions, we opted for a private experience through Venture Ashore—and it turned out to be one of the best decisions of our trip! We contacted Venture Ashore with our arrival and departure details, and they arranged a seamless 31-hour tour for us. Our guide Mostafa, an incredibly knowledgeable Egyptologist, and our fantastic driver Arsany met us promptly at 6:30 a.m. for our drive to Cairo. During the two-hour drive, Mostafa gave us a captivating 90-minute overview of Egyptian history, setting the stage for the sights ahead. Once in Cairo, we visited an impressive lineup of historical and cultural landmarks: The Egyptian Museum of Antiquities – Home to countless treasures, including those of King Tutankhamun. Old Cairo – A glimpse into Egypt’s rich religious history. The Citadel of Saladin – A historic fortress offering panoramic views of the city. Mohamed Ali Alabaster Mosque – A stunning example of Ottoman architecture. The Hanging Church and Ben Ezra Synagogue – Two of Cairo’s oldest religious sites, steeped in history. Khan El-Khalili Bazaar – A bustling market where we soaked up the local culture. That evening, we were dropped off at the hotel we had booked independently. The next morning at 7:00 a.m., Mostafa and Arsany picked us up for another unforgettable day. We visited: The Pyramids of Giza – Standing in front of these ancient wonders was surreal. The King’s Chamber – An awe-inspiring experience inside the Great Pyramid. The Sphinx – As iconic as we imagined. The Solar Boat Museum – A fascinating glimpse at ancient Egyptian engineering. The Saqqara Pyramids – The step pyramid of Djoser was a highlight, rich in early pyramid history. Mostafa went above and beyond—he even arranged a camel ride for us to see all nine pyramids of Giza from a stunning viewpoint. His storytelling brought ancient Egypt to life, and we were able to ask questions at any time. His knowledge and passion were incredible. Arsany’s calm, expert driving made us feel safe and comfortable the entire journey. We never once worried about timing or logistics. Final Thoughts: We highly recommend booking a tour through Venture Ashore—but be sure to ask for Mostafa and Arsany. They made us feel like family and ensured we had an unforgettable adventure filled with history, culture, and once-in-a-lifetime experiences. Exploring Egypt with them was truly a highlight of our entire cruise. Mostafa +20 100 494-2543

We’ve just had a two day tour with Marco as our tour guide and Bader our driver. What a lovely time we’ve had. Marco is full of knowledge of all things Egypt and very flexible in his approach to being a tour guide. You breeze through most queues with him at the helm. Bader expertly navigated the traffic of Cairo. Thank you!!

A fantastic easy stress free experience. We visited Cairo on a last minute long weekend with the kids. (9yrs & 5 yrs). I was recommended Nevin by many of my work colleagues and couldn’t have been happier with the experience. We decided to visit Cairo on Tuesday afternoon, and departed the very next day. As a result, and very unlike me, I had done zero research and organised nothing. Nevin sorted out airport transfers and a tour for us. She could not have been more accommodating. She gave a fascinating insight into Cairo and a brilliant 1/2 day at the pyramids. The pace of the tour was dictated by us (or should I say our 5 year old). I would not hesitate to recommend. Thank you Nevin

A fantastic day with Ebrahim, who guided us through a very busy Museum of Antiquities, before we were whisked off to see the Pyramids of Giza. Lots of great information shared, we shall never forget “Hot Chicken Soup”. If Ebrahim offers to take photos during your time at Giza, let him, he knows what his is doing. Lots of fun, highly recommended Ebrahim as a tour guide.
