Gita di un giorno a Luxor
Un viaggio in Egitto non sarebbe completo senza almeno una gita di un giorno a Luxor. Il trasporto dal nostro hotel all'aeroporto del Cairo e ritorno avrebbe potuto essere migliore, ma non ha rovinato il viaggio. Una volta arrivati a Luxor, tutto è stato impeccabile. Remon è stato una guida fantastica. Molto preparato, si è assicurato che avessimo abbastanza tempo libero, rispettando comunque i tempi previsti. Consiglierei questo tour.

Expected more value for the money
Let me start with what worked well on our one-day visit to Luxor. The guide (Maichael) was very friendly and engaging -- imparted knowledge and interesting insights into the history and culture, as one would expect. The driver was punctual with all pick-ups, transported us safely and comfortably throughout the day. Each of them warranted 5 stars apiece. We would have no hesitation working with them again, in other words. Now, for what should have -- and could have -- gone much better:
We purchased a one-day, all-inclusive tour for nearly $600 per person. And yet, we only had one bottle of water provided per person for the entire day in 45+ C heat. There are also the extra costs: Valley of the Kings should not be missed, but it is disappointing to learn, only upon arrival, that to visit any of the really popular tombs (Tutankhamen, Seti I), then one must pay extra. The same goes for lunch, which is included for the price option we paid. Only during the tour itself were we informed that, if we wanted to go to a sit-down restaurant/cafe, then it would be extra -- otherwise it would have to be takeaway (again, draw your attention to the 45+ C heat). We ended up eating lunch in the car on the way which was very uncomfortable and unnecessary for the price we paid.
Another disappointing surprise is that the tour wrapped up at 4pm (our flight coming in was delayed by one hour, otherwise the tour would have been finished at 3pm, providing for even more time we would have to fill ourselves). Our flight back was not until after 9:00 pm; so we were caught of guard when we were asked where to drop us of at 4pm. For example, at minimum cost, the tour could have handed us off to a boat operator to go out on the Nile River for a couple of hours. Five hours of sitting around trying to figure out what to do when we purchased an all-day, all-inclusive package was disappointing. This is the responsibility of the tour operator/organizer to plan the day in a way that is productive for the money paid. This brings us to the next and last point that was raised by at other reviewers: the organizer's communication style is extremely pushy and aggressive, even by the standards we experienced with other operators in Egypt. Hesham Egypt Tours would be better served by focusing on delivering a higher-quality experience to the customers they have already booked rather than constantly trying to sell additional tours. Too often, the emphasis on generating more business comes at the expense of the quality and value of the tours already being provided, leaving customers feeling that they did not receive good value for the money they paid.
In conclusion, Luxor's magnificent sites are not to be missed if one can fit it into their visit to Egypt. We will never forget the sense of awe and wonder we experienced, and we are grateful for the good efforts of both the guide and driver. We strongly suggest the operator focus on providing clear information at the outset, so that expectations are met and disappointing surprises are avoided -- precisely because they can be avoided.

Lasciatemi iniziare con ciò che ha funzionato bene durante la nostra visita di un giorno a Luxor. La guida (Maichael) è stata molto amichevole e coinvolgente; ha trasmesso conoscenze e spunti interessanti sulla storia e la cultura, come ci si aspetterebbe. L'autista è stato puntuale con tutti i prelievi e ci ha trasportato in modo sicuro e confortevole per tutta la giornata. Ognuno di loro meritava 5 stelle a testa. In altre parole, non avremmo alcuna esitazione a lavorare di nuovo con loro. Ora, per ciò che sarebbe dovuto - e avrebbe potuto - andare molto meglio:
Abbiamo acquistato un tour di un giorno tutto incluso per quasi 600 $ a persona. Eppure, ci è stata fornita solo una bottiglia d'acqua a persona per l'intera giornata con un caldo di 45+ °C. Ci sono anche i costi extra: La Valle dei Re non dovrebbe essere persa, ma è deludente scoprire, solo all'arrivo, che per visitare una qualsiasi delle tombe davvero popolari (Tutankhamon, Seti I), bisogna pagare un extra. Lo stesso vale per il pranzo, che è incluso nell'opzione di prezzo che abbiamo pagato. Abbiamo finito per pranzare in auto durante il tragitto, il che è stato molto scomodo e non necessario per il prezzo che abbiamo pagato.
Un'altra sorpresa deludente è che il tour si è concluso alle 16:00 (il nostro volo in arrivo ha subito un ritardo di un'ora, altrimenti il tour sarebbe terminato alle 15:00, lasciandoci ancora più tempo da dover riempire da soli). Il nostro volo di ritorno non era prima delle 21: 00; quindi siamo stati colti alla sprovvista quando ci è stato chiesto dove lasciarci alle 16:00. Ad esempio, con un costo minimo, il tour avrebbe potuto affidarci a un operatore di barche per fare un giro sul fiume Nilo per un paio d'ore. Cinque ore passate ad aspettare cercando di capire cosa fare, quando avevamo acquistato un pacchetto tutto compreso per l'intera giornata, sono state deludenti. È responsabilità dell'operatore turistico/organizzatore pianificare la giornata in modo che sia produttiva rispetto al denaro pagato. Questo ci porta al punto successivo e ultimo sollevato da altri recensori: lo stile di comunicazione dell'organizzatore è estremamente insistente e aggressivo, anche per gli standard che abbiamo riscontrato con altri operatori in Egitto. Hesham Egypt Tours farebbe meglio a concentrarsi sull'offrire un'esperienza di qualità superiore ai clienti che ha già prenotato, piuttosto che cercare costantemente di vendere tour aggiuntivi. Troppo spesso, l'enfasi sulla generazione di nuovo business va a scapito della qualità e del valore dei tour già forniti, lasciando ai clienti la sensazione di non aver ricevuto un buon valore per il denaro pagato.
In conclusione, i magnifici siti di Luxor sono imperdibili se si riesce a inserirli nella propria visita in Egitto. Non dimenticheremo mai il senso di stupore e meraviglia che abbiamo provato e siamo grati per il buon lavoro svolto sia dalla guida che dall'autista. Suggeriamo vivamente all'operatore di concentrarsi sul fornire informazioni chiare fin dall'inizio, in modo che le aspettative vengano soddisfatte e si evitino sorprese deludenti, proprio perché possono essere evitate.

Maret was a great guide with very in depth knowledge of ancient Egyptian culture and all there is to see and do in Luxor, I spent two days with her and she made sure everything was exactly how I wanted

Una gita di un giorno indimenticabile e imperdibile.
Abbiamo trascorso un tempo davvero meraviglioso in questo viaggio. Tutto è andato liscio e super efficiente, anche se è stata una giornata molto lunga! Tutti i luoghi che abbiamo visitato erano straordinari - specialmente il Tempio di Karnak e la Valle dei Re. La nostra guida, Dina, è stata eccezionale - competente, informativa, disponibile e molto piacevole. Indimenticabile!

Dina, la nostra guida, è il vero gioiello dell'Egitto! Luxor è stata davvero il momento clou del viaggio di mio marito e di me in Egitto. Dina ha una grande energia e passione della storia qui - e ho davvero apprezzato tutte le informazioni e il tempo libero alle attrazioni che ha fornito! Era preparata con i biglietti ed è stata anche così gentile da prestarmi ombra con il suo ombrello! Mentre la giornata è intensa e calda, ogni secondo e dollaro speso è stato oltre la pena! Mi sentivo al sicuro e siamo stati benissimo! Se dovessi mai tornare in Egitto rifarei sicuramente questo tour, è stato liscio, bello, educativo e assolutamente memorabile! Amavo Dina e amavo Luxor! Non posso dare una valutazione migliore di 5 stelle ma se potessi lo farei! I nostri autisti erano anche prontamente pulito e liscio.

Una brillante gita di un giorno
Questa è stata una giornata davvero memorabile! Abbiamo visto tutti i siti più importanti di Luxor, il più spettacolare dei quali è stato il Tempio di Karnak. La nostra guida, Dina, era molto ben informato ed estremamente piacevole e ha reso la nostra giornata indimenticabile. Tutto è filato liscio e in modo tempestivo. Altamente raccomandato .
