Great tour! We got to see the sights at Sakkara and the bent and red pyramids. The museum at Memphis was very interesting and Ramses was immense! Our tour guide Wael was great. Very well informed and easy to communicate with. Highly recommend this tour and Wael!

When you come to visit Egypt, one of the most important aspects of your trip is having a deep understanding of the archeological sites and artifacts you are visiting. Having a good, knowledgable guide is the key to having this understanding I waited until the end of our week long Egypt trip to write this, and I can say without an absolute doubt that Ahmed was the best and most knowledgeable tour guide we had on our entire trip. His attention to detail, and thorough explanation of Egyptian History and Culture literally set this stage for the rest of our trip. We are able to see subsequent sites on the rest of our trip through a different, more informed lens due to the foundational explanation we got from Ahmed on Day 1. Things like how the pharaoh statues are depicted in life vs death, the different types of scenes inside of old kingdom burial sites vs new kingdom tombs, and many other details stuck with us. We did a full day trip to Saqqara and Memphis, and based on our conversations Ahmed recommended several additional sites that weren’t on our initial itinerary. These additional spots were almost more impressive than the official ones that were a part of our itinerary and we greatly appreciated the way he laid out our day/tour. I will recommend this trip / guide to anyone that comes to Egypt. I only wish we had’ve been able to book him for additional days - the other guides we went with just couldn’t compare in terms of depth and knowledge. 10/10

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Hussam della compagnia turistica GEM Explore Egypt è stata una guida turistica assolutamente eccezionale e ha reso la nostra giornata indimenticabile. Ha portato me e le mie sorelle a Saqqara e Memphis, dove abbiamo visto le incredibili Piramidi Step, Bent e Red, insieme alla Sfinge a Memphis. La sua conoscenza era impressionante – spiegava tutto in un modo che era sia informativo che genuinamente coinvolgente – e il suo senso dell’umorismo ci faceva ridere per tutto il tempo. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Hussam from GEM Explore Egypt tour company was an absolutely outstanding tour guide and made our day unforgettable. He took my sisters and me to Saqqara and Memphis, where we saw the incredible Step, Bent, and Red Pyramids, along with the Sphinx in Memphis. His knowledge was impressive—he explained everything in a way that was both informative and genuinely engaging—and his sense of humor kept us laughing the entire time. What really stood out was how much he cared about our experience. Hussam made sure we were comfortable, having fun, and getting the most out of every stop. He also took amazing photos of us, capturing moments we’ll truly treasure for a lifetime. We chose to visit these pyramids before seeing the Great Pyramid, and it was the perfect decision—far less crowded and much easier to explore, which made the experience even more special. He also brought us to a restaurant with beautiful views of the pyramids, and the lunch was delicious. I also want to highlight our driver, who was extremely professional and a very safe, skilled driver. His car was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, which made traveling between sites smooth and relaxing. The tour was overall fine to visit some of the most important pyramids and monuments of Memphis and Saqqara. The guide was good but seemed to rush so he could go to prayer.

Il nostro autista, l'Islam e la guida Ola ci sono venuti a prendere prontamente al nostro hotel per il nostro tour di Saqqara, Memphis e Dahsur. Anche se il traffico richiede un po 'di tempo per abituarsi in Egitto, l'Islam ha fatto un ottimo lavoro di trasportarci in modo sicuro a ciascuno dei siti. We had an amazing day out with our guide Abeer and our driver Mostafa! Honestly we enjoyed this tour more than our visit to the Giza pyramids because it was less crowded and there was more to see. Abeer synced with us via WhatsApp the night before and she and Mostafa were waiting for us at the hotel a few minutes early. As Mostafa navigated the adventurous roads, Abeer gave us a summary of what to expect for the day and some historical background. We started at Saqqara with the Step pyramid where Abeer went the extra mile to make it interesting for our 2 kids by asking them questions and even drawing some pictures to make it more interesting. She then pointed out all the most interesting spots. There was so much to see at this stop, including hieroglyphics, paintings, and so many things to explore inside. We really appreciated Abeer making sure we saw all the highlights. After a nice explore, Mostafa picked us up again with the comfortable, cool car and more bottled water. We then arrived to the bent pyramid and the red pyramid. Not only did Abeer advise us which to go in, but they also managed to time it so that we avoided the big tour groups. We ended up going into the red pyramid and it was great! It was more interesting and big inside than we'd imagined and we had the inside all to ourselves. Before we left Abeer took some nice family pictures for us. We then had one last tour stop at a museum in Memphis where Abeer showed us lots of interesting details and answered all of our and our kids questions. Like the whole day she was so sweet with the kids, helping them by the hand and working hard to keep them engaged. We really really appreciated it. Lastly we stopped at a great restaurant for a late lunch where we had freshly prepared barbecue chicken and meet along with a buffet of other Egyptian food. Again I have to thank Abeer and the restaurant because she called ahead and arranged for pasta for the kids which was very thoughtful. She and the staff at the restaurant also played with the kids while we were sitting . I would also be remiss not to mention that the restaurant had an amazing pyramid view. Then we got back in the car and Mostafa dropped us off safely at the hotel. All in all it was a very nice day and we could tell that Abeer and Mostafa did everything they could to make the day comfortable, enjoyable, memorable, and informative. Abbiamo avuto una giornata incredibile con la nostra guida Abeer e il nostro autista Mostafa! Onestamente abbiamo apprezzato questo tour più della nostra visita alle piramidi di Giza perché era meno affollato e c'era di più da vedere. Abeer si è sincronizzato con noi via WhatsApp la sera prima e lei e Mostafa ci stavano aspettando in hotel con pochi minuti di anticipo. Mentre Mostafa navigava per le strade avventurose, Abeer ci ha dato un riassunto di cosa aspettarci per la giornata e alcuni retroscena storici. Abbiamo iniziato a Saqqara con la piramide a gradini dove Abeer ha fatto il possibile per renderlo interessante per i nostri 2 bambini (di 5 e 8 anni) facendo loro domande e anche disegnando alcune immagini per renderlo più interessante. Ha poi indicato tutti i punti più interessanti. C'era così tanto da vedere in questa fermata, tra cui geroglifici, dipinti e così tante cose da esplorare all'interno. Abbiamo davvero apprezzato Abeer assicurandoci di aver visto tutti i punti salienti. Dopo una bella esplorazione, Mostafa ci è venuto a prendere di nuovo con la macchina confortevole e fresca e più acqua in bottiglia. Siamo poi arrivati alla piramide curva e alla piramide rossa. Non solo Abeer ci ha consigliato quale entrare, ma sono anche riusciti a cronometrarlo in modo da evitare i grandi gruppi del tour. Abbiamo finito per andare nella piramide rossa ed è stato fantastico! Era più interessante e grande dentro di quanto avessimo immaginato e avevamo l'interno tutto per noi. Prima di partire Abeer ci ha fatto delle belle foto di famiglia. Abbiamo poi fatto un’ultima sosta in un museo a Memphis dove Abeer ci ha mostrato molti dettagli interessanti e ha risposto a tutte le nostre domande e a quelle dei nostri figli. Come tutto il giorno è stata così dolce con i bambini, aiutandoli per mano e lavorando sodo per tenerli impegnati. Lo abbiamo davvero apprezzato. Infine ci siamo fermati in un ottimo ristorante per un pranzo tardivo dove abbiamo preparato pollo al barbecue e ci siamo incontrati insieme a un buffet di altro cibo egiziano. Ancora una volta devo ringraziare Abeer e il ristorante perché ha chiamato in anticipo e organizzato per la pasta per i bambini che era molto premuroso. Lei e il personale del ristorante hanno anche giocato con i bambini mentre eravamo seduti. Sarei anche negligente per non parlare del fatto che il ristorante aveva una splendida vista piramidale. Poi siamo tornati in macchina e Mostafa ci ha lasciati sani e salvi in hotel. Tutto sommato è stata una giornata molto bella e abbiamo potuto dire che Abeer e Mostafa hanno fatto tutto il possibile per rendere la giornata confortevole, piacevole, memorabile e informativo.
