Aswan & Luxor cruise
This has to be one of the best trips that we have ever done.
We were so incredibly lucky to have Mohamed as our private guide (we booked a group tour but we’re the only English on the trip). Mohamed is a PhD qualified Egyptologist who not only has the academic background to fully explain the history of the sites visited but he genuinely lives and breathes Egyptology. He is a natural story teller who brings the history to life giving you not only the historical facts but context linking this to other sites/periods.
We visited Aswan (Temple of Philae, the unfinished obelisk and the High Dam) and have an extra excursion to a Nubian village which included an opportunity to cool down by swimming in the Nile (definitely something I never thought I would do). We had an early morning start the next day to Abu Simbel which went without a hitch (our drivers were fantastic and all very careful and experienced). Abu Simbel was amazing and definitely worth the early morning start (there is a mid point coffee stop to stretch your legs and take photos of the amazing desert mirages. The mini bus was like new, air conditioned and very comfortable).
Following our trip to Abu Simbel we cruised up to Kom Ombo and had an early evening tour before dinner back on the ship and an overnight cruise to Edfu. After an early morning visit to the Temple of Horus we spent the day cruising up the Nile to Luxor. The ship may need sprucing up as the decor is outdated but the rooms were comfortable, the food more than adequate and the staff very pleasant. The addition of a pool on the top deck was fabulous after a day in the sun touring sites.
In Luxor we visited Luxor Temple in the evening followed by a packed morning of the Valley of the Kings (including the chance to go inside 3 of the opened tombs, the colours were amazing and it is hard to believe that they have survived so many 1000s of years), Hepshepsut’s mortuary temple and the Temple of Karnak (where he proudly showed (and translated) for us the 2 walls which the subject for his Masters degree).
At all stages Mohamed was able to easily talk us through what we were seeing linking this to the history of the relevant Pharoah/historical period. He has a very calm and easy style. He never lectured and we never felt that he was going through the motions in an uninterested style. He wanted to impart his love of the subject which he certainly did. We spent some lovely meals with him and he was very easy to talk to about a variety of topics of both ancient and modern Egypt.
Overall the trip was well organised and thank you to Mohamed in the Aswan office for his help with everything pre departure.

4 jours formidables grâce à Egypt unlimited tours. Rhaleb, notre guide privé a été extraordinaire, il connaît très bien l'histoire antique de son pays et a su nous transmettre son savoir et sa passion. Il parle très bien français et a été très attentionné envers nous. Tout est très bien organisé (transfert avec chauffeur qui vous attend entre chaque temple) et aucune mauvaises surprises (frais supplémentaires)
Un grand merci à Mohammed et son équipe pour ce magnifique séjour que l'on oubliera jamais.

Un'esperienza immersiva attraverso la magia egizia
La crociera sul Nilo da Assuan a Luxor è stata una vera sorpresa! Grazie a numerose attività e visite ai più importanti siti archeologici, ho la possibilità di vivere la vera atmosfera della cultura egizia antica e moderna.
La differenza tra un comune tour turistico è stata data dall'ambiente amichevole della crociera ma soprattutto dall'incredibile compagnia del nostro fantastico egittologo e genio Sayed che ha saputo farmi immergere nel mondo dell'antico Egitto attraverso la sua esperienza e grande conoscenza . Apprezzo molto come sia riuscito a capire cosa mi piace e cosa mi interessa, personalizzando di conseguenza il tour. Grazie a lui, questo è stato un viaggio incredibile e coinvolgente che non dimenticherò mai!

Alla scoperta dell'antico Egitto... con il genio dalla tua parte!
La crociera da Assuan a Luxor è un viaggio attraverso la cultura e la storia antica... con un tocco di magia. Il tour include tutti i siti archeologici imperdibili lungo il Nilo oltre a una varietà di attività aggiuntive.
Ma nessuna esperienza magica potrebbe essere completa senza un genio personale: il nostro Cicerone, Sayed. Ci ha guidato alla scoperta dell'antico Egitto con grande professionalità, disponibilità e spirito. Durante 4 giorni, Sayed ci ha insegnato i templi, i faraoni e gli dei egizi condividendo con noi il suo amore per la storia. Ma non solo questo. Ci ha anche dato la possibilità di entrare in contatto con la sua cultura e le tradizioni delle persone che vivono in questo bellissimo paese.

La verdad es que es una experiencia inolvidable. Los días y las noches se pasan volando. Aun así, las visitas y calidad de las mismas dependen mucho del guía que te toque. Además, conocimos personas con las mismas condiciones de tour contratadas que les había salido más barato. Pero en general es una experiencia obligatoria en la visita a Egipto.

Best Holiday Experience Ever
From beginning to end there was always clear communication from Mohammed regarding our trip and what we could expect. He also made great recommendations based on our group size. Once we landed the team made sure we were treated like royalty. And Once in the hands of Hassan we received the most memorable experience of Egypt, I think we could have ever had. He was very knowledgeable and made every tour more exciting than the next. Top notch service hands down!!!!!!

Un modo fantastico, comodo e sicuro per viaggiare nei luoghi più belli dell'Egitto
Stavamo pensando a quale fosse il modo migliore per visitare diversi templi e importanti siti egiziani durante la nostra vacanza e abbiamo trovato questo tour. Dopo aver letto le recensioni, abbiamo deciso che valeva la pena provare e non potremmo essere più soddisfatti del risultato.
Nel nostro hotel ad Assuan siamo stati accolti dalla nostra guida turistica Sayed. È un egittologo e ha una grande esperienza come guida turistica, ed è un buon comunicatore, con un ottimo inglese e un umore ancora migliore. Siamo stati prelevati in un'auto privata, solo per noi, con aria condizionata e confortevole. Questo era il livello che è stato mantenuto durante l'intero viaggio, fino al nostro Hotel a Luxor, e Sayed si è sempre assicurato che fossimo informati di tutto, ben idratati, procurandoci sempre acqua fredda e bevande e persino completato il tour con ulteriori si ferma a vedere i prodotti e le tecniche tradizionali egiziane dai suoi amici. Ha spiegato la storia di tutte le fermate e altro e ha fornito sistemazioni aggiuntive in caso di difficoltà. Il suo metodo è ottimo: mostra il sito, spiega la storia e alcune curiosità, quindi lasciati del tempo libero per esplorare da solo e scattare foto. Niente code, niente complicazioni con lui! Non potremmo essere più contenti della nostra guida e abbiamo il piacere di definirlo un vero amico. Inoltre, è un grande fotografo! Le foto ne sono la prova.
La crociera deluxe si è svolta nella Jaz Queen Jubilee, una bellissima nave con sistemazioni eccellenti. Il letto era enorme e comodo, la camera aveva spazio più che sufficiente per tutto, un balcone con una bellissima vista sul Nilo con due sedie per il nostro comfort, anche un mini frigo per mantenere la nostra acqua fredda! Il bagno era privato e confortevole. L'unico inconveniente era il servizio wifi, che non funzionava, nonostante le informazioni che funzionava. Il personale di bordo era sempre pronto a fornire assistenza e aveva un sorriso pronto per tutte le occasioni. Gli asciugamani per la piscina, il servizio in camera, tutti i pasti erano inclusi, l'area pasti in stile buffet aveva cibo eccellente, servizio e buoni prezzi per le bevande, che erano le uniche cose a pagamento. Un ringraziamento speciale va a Mohamed, il cameriere che è stato nella nostra zona tutti i giorni. Aveva sempre un sorriso per metterci di buon umore nonostante i primi orari di sveglia!
Durante l'intero processo, lo staff di Egypt Unlimited è stato eccellente nel prendersi cura di noi e assicurarsi che fossimo sempre ben informati e ben nutriti. Consigliamo vivamente questo viaggio a qualsiasi primo arrivato in Egitto!
Note: abbiamo deciso di fare la visita aggiuntiva ad Abu Simbel, che consigliamo in quanto è il tempio più bello. Il costo era di $ 120 a persona ed è stato effettuato su un'auto privata da Assuan (3,5 ore di macchina per lato).
Raccomandazioni: avere un cambio in EGP pronto per suggerimenti per conducenti, guardie dei templi che aiutano con le foto, ecc.; attenzione alle truffe, ricerca i prezzi prima di acquistare; porta lo schermo secondario SPF 50; non contare sul wifi della nave, probabilmente non avrai un buon accesso a Internet per 4 giorni, quindi investi in una scheda SIM se necessario.

Séjour inoubliable
Bateau de très bon confort avec un personnel aux petits soins. La restauration est très variée et de bonne qualité. Nous avions choisi l’option visite guidée privée avec véhicule privé et nous ne regrettons absolument pas d’avoir fait ce choix car toute la logistique des visites est prise en charge par le guide et le chauffeur ce qui permet de profiter pleinement et en toute sérénité. Nous avons aussi choisi la visite du site de Abu Simbel et le vol en montgolfière: à faire absolument même si cela nécessite de quitter le bateau à 4 heures du matin.Ce sont 2 excursions incroyables !!
Nous ne pouvons que recommander cette croisière qui nous a permis de découvrir de manière très confortable et pratique les sites incroyables de l’Egypte antique.
