Egypt Nile cruise
Booking a Nile cruise through sites like Viator or TripAdvisor is like playing Russian roulette. You think you’re booking one boat, and you end up on another – it’s rarely the same as shown in the pictures. In our case, the boat was older and of lower quality than advertised. That was disappointing… but in the end, it didn’t matter. And that’s entirely thanks to one person: our guide, King Mina.
Mina, without exaggeration, was the highlight of the whole trip. He’s incredibly friendly, respectful, and has an outstanding knowledge of Egyptian history – he has a PhD in the subject. He explains everything clearly and with passion, and he’s always attentive to the group’s needs. If we wanted to change something in the itinerary, he was flexible. If we needed help with anything, he was always there.
For example, he helped me exchange money safely when we didn’t know where to go. My girlfriend’s birthday happened to fall during the cruise, and Mina even helped organize a surprise celebration on the boat with cake and live music - something we’ll never forget.
Throughout the trip, he took us to several local shops, like stone and papyrus stores, which were truly interesting. He was always in a good mood, full of positive energy, laughing, and teaching us Egyptian words when we asked. He even helped me order a custom polo shirt with my name written in hieroglyphs!
So yes… the boat wasn’t the one we booked, and it was frustrating to feel like we didn’t get what we paid for. But Mina completely turned things around. He made the journey memorable, fun, and genuinely enriching. We came home with beautiful memories – and above all, grateful to have met him.
If you decide to take this cruise, try to book directly with the cruise company – and make sure your guide is King Mina. He truly makes all the difference.

Comfortable and enriching experience
The cruise was very nice, the tour guide Mina was highly knowledgeable and very attentive. Food was generally good. I recommend this once in a lifetime experience to anyone.

Amazing tour with a great guide
Amazing tour! The cruise itself was lovley with great service, comfortable rooms and good food. The main highlight was our guide Mina, he was knowledgable, entertaining and very accommodating. He was always ready to help with any requests and went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. A brilliant tour which I’d highly recommend!

Un'esperienza molto buona
È stato incredibile, nonostante la mattina presto per visitare il tempio, tutto è molto ben organizzato, si ha anche il tempo di riposare e godersi la barca.
La camera era molto confortevole e la vista era impareggiabile, e naturalmente il personale era molto disponibile e attento.
Il cibo è squisito, a parte la colazione che ti danno quando parti presto per le escursioni, che sono solo di due giorni, tutto il resto rende l'esperienza molto buona.

Buona esperienza complessiva. La comunicazione e l'organizzazione devono ancora essere migliorate.
L'esperienza complessiva è stata buona, in termini di crociera, cibo, paesaggio e luoghi visitati. Tuttavia, l'organizzazione lascia a desiderare. La guida non è mai stata con noi per tutto il tempo, solo il primo giorno. Poi hanno mandato ogni giorno una guida diversa, alcune migliori di altre. La cosa più orribile è che mentono sull'orario di inizio del tour. Ho scelto le 10 come orario di inizio, dove avrei dovuto essere prelevato dal mio hotel. Quel giorno ho ricevuto un messaggio dalla guida alle 8.20 che mi diceva di essere pronto alle 8.45, perché il tour sarebbe iniziato prima.
Non è possibile farlo, né è possibile giocare con il tempo delle persone. Come turista hai tutto programmato e se la prenotazione sul sito web dice 10am, è 10am, non 8.45am. Alla fine ho dovuto perdere tutte le attività del primo giorno a causa della loro mancanza di comunicazione e serietà. Si sono rifiutati di rimborsarmi per queste attività e mi hanno invece offerto un tour gratuito della comunità nubiana.
Tuttavia, non si è soddisfatti. Per il resto, era tutto a posto, giusto e previsto.

4 días intensos por el Nilo: gran atención y paisajes increíbles.
Hacer un crucero por el Nilo fue una experiencia inolvidable. El barco estaba en excelentes condiciones, las piezas cómodas y limpias, y el personal ofreció una atención muy amable durante todo el viaje. Además, venden alcohol a bordo, lo que permite disfrutar aún más de los atardeceres navegando por el río.
Eso sí, recomiendo hacer este viaje con mucha energía: es una aventura intensa. Para visitar los templos y sitios arqueológicos, hay que levantarse muy temprano —en promedio a las 4:00 a.m.—, ya que las excursiones comienzan con el primer sol para evitar el calor del mediodía.
Un punto a tener en cuenta es que el precio del crucero no incluye las entradas a los sitios turísticos ni las propinas, por lo que es importante considerar ese gasto adicional en el presupuesto.
En resumen, es una excelente forma de recorrer el Alto Egipto de forma cómoda, con paisajes únicos y visitas guiadas que valen totalmente el esfuerzo.

Eccellente opportunità di crociera
Ottima esperienza in crociera. La guida Mr. Khaled è molto cordiale e gentile. Ha organizzato ogni vista vedendo molto bene e comodamente. Le camere della cabina in crociera sono più grandi e pulite. Il cibo e il servizio è anche molto buono.
