We were super excited about this tour. We woke up early and was ready to go. NO ONE SHOWED UP. We called them, viator called them no one answer. The communication was terrible and they never showed up.

Our guide was either unable or disinclined to share much information. He carried a book to which he referred at times, but seemed generally lacking in knowledge about Egypt and Alexandria except for a few visited sites. The guide’s spoken English was difficult for us to understand. Whereas the tour was advertised to include on-board wi-fi, snacks, en-route interpretation, etc, these things were missing. Most serious, the driver drove dangerously in a small Kia automobile, exceeded posted speed limits (up to 200 km/h on roads posted at 100 km/h), bullied his way through dense traffic miraculously avoiding collisions numerous times, and boasted of his ability to manage through the overcrowded streets. The lunch stop was in a scenic restaurant overlooking the Mediterranean, the food was good but the service was poor. While we were pleased to see important sites (catacombs, Pompey’s pillar, the citadel, the grand new library of Alexandria, etc), mostly we were relieved and pleased to return to our hotel alive.

If you come to Egypt you can never forget to visit Alexandria. This mediterranean city holds a lot of culture sights from Alexander the Great time until nowadays and ,as always, presents the very good Egyptian hospitality. Both tour guide Mahmoud El Wakeel and driver Sayed Atria were very nice and friendly. Sights explanation was perfect and very detailed. The transport conditions were also amazing. Went to the best places to visit in this clash of Egyptian and Roman/Greek cultures. Lunch was fish in a restaurant close to the sea. Finished the day with a visit to the emblematic Alexandrian Libraby. On my opinion it's a tour you must do when in Egypt.

It was a good overview of Alexandria. The guide was very knowledgeable and thorough. The provided lunch was very good and more than expected.

Mahdy dei tour Emo ci ha offerto un'incredibile visita ad Alessandria. Ahmed può attraversare qualsiasi cosa. Erano entrambi molto professionali. Non siamo mai stati affrettati. Mahdy è molto esperto. Siamo stati portati in alcune parti di Alessandria che so che non avremmo visto senza di lui. Li consiglierei a chiunque volesse visitare Alessandria.

Ho trascorso un tour di un giorno assolutamente meraviglioso ad Alessandria con Mahmoud El Wakeel. La Biblioteca di Alessandria è semplicemente fantastica! Mahmoud è una gioia, super cordiale e molto accomodante per il nostro bisogno. Ad esempio, ci consente di trascorrere tutto il tempo che ci piace in tutte le tappe, apportare piccole modifiche al menu del pranzo, ecc. Inoltre, vorrei ringraziare Ahmed Ragab per la sua cortesia e guida sicura. Le nostre guide hanno reso questo viaggio un giorno speciale da ricordare.

Imparerai molto e vedrai i principali monumenti. Salta il negozio di papiri e chiedi invece di prolungare la tua visita alla Biblioteca - se ti piace l'arte moderna. L'enorme edificio della biblioteca e il parco sono pieni di meravigliose sculture moderne, e il giorno in cui abbiamo visitato abbiamo visto anche gallerie piene di stampe, ceramiche e persino paesaggi ceramici. La nostra guida era Mohamed Salama, che è super esperto di antico Egitto, geroglifici e storia. Sapeva anche dove portarci per un pranzo veloce locale.

My family and I had an amazing time in Alexandria - we took a day trip from Cairo which was about a 2 hour drive in a van with plenty of space. Our guide Ola was an exceptionally great tour guide with us - she was very informative for all the sites which was essential as we knew nothing about Alexandria. She made sure to cover a lot of things and was very timely for activities like our guided tour at the Alexandria Library. She was very patient with all of our asks and needs during this day trip and made sure we got back to our hotel in Cairo safely. Alexandria was overall beautiful and I would highly recommend a day trip to anyone visiting Cairo! Enjoy some ice cream by the Mediterranean Sea and have a good time!
