Cairo Trip review from Sharm

Overall, the excursion was acceptable, and our primary tour guide was attentive, keeping us well-informed throughout the journey. However, several aspects of the itinerary and execution could be significantly improved. The experience at the museum was notably rushed by the English-speaking Egyptologist, who moved through the exhibits too quickly and lacked in-depth explanations. Consequently, the visit did not feel educational; I was forced to hastily take photographs simply to examine the artifacts at my own leisure later. Furthermore, the audio equipment was problematic, as channel 19 experienced interference from a Chinese broadcast, which was highly distracting. While the Nile cruise was a highlight that we thoroughly enjoyed, our time at the Pyramids lacked adequate structure and guidance. We opted out of the camel ride due to a previous fall, but rather than being provided with an alternative guided experience, we were left to navigate the site entirely on our own, leaving us feeling somewhat disoriented and neglected. Logistically, the journey was exceptionally exhausting. There was no designated stop for breakfast, and the provided lunch was merely average. Additionally, the sheer volume of security checkpoints made it impossible to sleep or rest during the transit. Finally, the scheduled stops at the papyrus and perfume shops felt unnecessary. Omitting these commercial visits would have allowed the group to return two hours earlier, sparing us from an overly fatiguing 2:00 AM arrival.

Day Cairo

Beautiful experience, just a bit long and very tiring, but worth doing; the Egyptologist guide was great and explained everything perfectly.

Must-do visit in Egypt

Very beautiful visit, despite the grueling hours on the bus and the numerous mandatory security checkpoints. All the guides and escorts were top-notch and took great care of us. This visit to Cairo and up close to the pyramids is a must for a first trip to Egypt. Exhausting but delighted and amazed, unforgettable! Thanks to everyone and especially to Ammar for his kindness at every moment.

unforgettable (and tiring) experience

Tour organized in an excellent way. Excellent Italian guide who accompanied us on the various visits throughout the day. The only downside is that the trip is long; you leave around midnight and return late at one in the morning. There are several stops during the journey that allow you to get off the bus, eat, and go to the bathroom. Overall, the price-quality ratio is excellent for everything the experience offers. A day that has remained in our hearts!

Tour experience recommended

Overall, the trip was excellent value and the visits were perfect... However, I had issues with the hotel pickup and drop-off; I was made to walk 2 miles at 11:30 PM with an elderly person because they couldn't pick us up at the hotel entrance. Also, regarding the drop-off, the driver who took us from Sharm El Sheikh to the hotel was driving dangerously—talking on his mobile phone and appearing to be intoxicated—which was a very bad experience. That said, the trip itself, along with the guides, was extraordinary—truly excellent

Wonderful

It was a beautiful day of leisure and all the staff, guides and drivers, were excellent; from the museum to the sphinx, we were followed and guided impeccably. Highly recommended. Attention to detail for lunch was impeccable. They were also very kind regarding the photos they took for us free of charge.

Great value for money. Would do it again.

What a great day. Pick up was on time and took us to the meeting point for the coach. The coach was comfy and staff were very friendly and professional. We crossed under the Suez canal and arrived in Cairo to visit the grand museum. Tour guide was great and gave a condensed tour of all exhibits. Then we went to the bank of the Nile for an optional 40 minute trip along the river. Staff helped with photos. Then off to the Papyrus Institute where we discovered the history of Egyptian paper. After a buffet lunch we visited Giza for the main event. We opted to have a Camel trek around the pyramid site where we got dozens of great pictures. After this we went to the largest pyramid for more pictures and to touch the ancient structure. We finished this section with a visit to the Sphinx and the souvenir stalls. Final call was a perfume factory where we learnt about all of the different fragrances and their historical importance. Lots of chances to spend extra but no pressure selling at all. We paid $10pp extra for the boat trip and $10pp for the Camel trek. Well worth it. The journey there and back was slightly longer than expected but the staff managed it very well and kept guests informed throughout the day. Highly recommended.
