Very bad

Let's start by saying that the guide has not been in Italian. The translator was my daughter who translated from English. Just a few words but nothing much. The appointment time was not respected, the start time was supposed to be 7 pm, then by message the appointment was brought forward to 6.30 pm (we rushed to respect it) but in the end the bus arrived at 6.50 pm. After that, we went to another hotel to pick up other passengers who boarded the bus at 8pm. You read right: we sat for an hour waiting for the other passengers to arrive. The guide who blamed the passengers for the delay, but then we found out that their appointment was at 8 pm and that yes, even on that occasion the guide had tried to bring forward the time. When the tour finally started, they took us to the first Mosque where we were given time to take pictures (the visit did not include entry because we prayed at the time). We only saw the other mosque on the side of the road because we didn't stop. We arrived in old Sharm, time for photos in front of the mosque and then a very quick tour of the shops, always with this pseudo guide, which limited us to travel and directed us to some shops rather than others. Ride to Sharm old 30 minutes In the end this Tour could be called: taxi ride in company. ( by taxi we would have paid 300 Egyptian lira, not 50€ ) Not recommended!!!

Old Sharm

We bought the 7pm tour and visited the cathedral, mosque and market; the tour itself is not so exciting, as Sharm lacks history, but our guide made the difference: kindness, helpfulness, sympathy, professionalism, punctuality.

Visit

We visited Sharm El Sheikh with Azza on Monday, at the beginning of our stay. Azza gave us many tips and explained the history and functioning of the city. We are delighted with this moment and had a lot of joy sharing anecdotes and cultural places with Azza.

Fabulous city guided tour

Our City Guide for the evening was Hawary and he was fabulous. I love learning about history and culture and he shared his wealth of knowledge of the city with us. Answered all our questions, curiosities and more. A guided trip to the Heavenly Cathedral followed by to the Al Mustafa Mosque and a quick stop at the Old Town where we had half an hour to roam by ourselves. Maybe not enough time there for this particular tour. I was expecting a bit more in depth guided tour in to the souk like in Marrakesh but old town is not half as big or busy. He then took us to a stunning city view point where he explained it was overlooking where Africa meet Asia. We enjoyed our evening.
