An Unforgettable Experience with Ahmed & Abdelwahab – The Dream Team!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Ahmed and Abdelwahab. This duo made our Luxor experience truly extraordinary, and I'm already recommending them to everyone I know. Ahmed – The Ultimate Professional Driver Ahmed exemplified what exceptional service looks like. His efficiency was remarkable – one quick phone call and the car appeared exactly where we needed it. He provided seamless door-to-door service, held doors open with genuine courtesy, and thoughtfully reminded us to stay hydrated throughout the day. When we realized we'd forgotten diapers at the hotel and needed to turn back, he didn't hesitate or complain for even a moment. His graciousness and professionalism turned what could have been stressful into just another smooth moment in our day. Ahmed is a true gentleman who made us feel completely taken care of. Abdelwahab – A Master Storyteller & Scholar Abdelwahab is, quite simply, overqualified to be a tour guide – and we reaped all the benefits of his exceptional knowledge and skill. While he certainly knows his dates, places, and historical figures like any guide, what sets him apart is his rare ability to connect with each person at their level. In our group, some had zero background knowledge about Luxor's West Bank, and he built their understanding from the ground up with patience and clarity. Meanwhile, as someone who researches extensively before traveling, I was thrilled to engage in deep, academic conversations with him that even ventured into philosophical territory. He shared insights I'd never encountered online – clearly the result of his formal egyptology education. What truly mesmerized me was his storytelling ability. Abdelwahab didn't just recite facts; he wove intricate narratives that brought ancient Egypt to life. He explored the complexities of the human condition across millennia – the thirst for power, the insecurity of rulers fearing they'd be upstaged, a queen surrounded by luxury yet aching for motherhood due to fertility struggles. He made pharaohs and queens deeply relatable on a personal level, examining the trade-offs of their decisions: how focusing on trade created economic prosperity but left defensive vulnerabilities. I was literally on the edge of my seat, completely absorbed in every story, and each narrative came full circle by the end of our tour. I cannot adequately express the depth of emotion I felt listening to this remarkably skilled storyteller. Practically speaking, Abdelwahab customized everything to our group's needs. Traveling with a baby, he thoughtfully adjusted his tomb recommendations and site selections accordingly. Knowing this was my second visit to Luxor, he ensured I experienced historical treasures beyond my imagination – unique sites perfectly suited to my interests and walkability. His English is excellent and his accent was easier to understand than most guides I've encountered. He created an atmosphere where no question felt too basic or unwelcome, making everyone – even the baby! – feel completely comfortable. The Verdict: This masculine, charming team is every traveler's dream. I couldn't recommend Ahmed and Abdelwahab more highly. They transformed our tour into an experience I'll treasure forever.

Mysterious Best Luxor Trip with Mr. Yahya

Mr. Yahya, a driver, meets by chance at a taxi stand at Luxor International Airport. Thanks to him, my two-day trip to Luxor has been amazing. At first, I thought he was a brash guy with high demands for a taxi, but gradually I began to think he was friendly and kind and very nice. Finally, he showed us around Luxor for two days, and at the end we even had dinner together. Thank you, Mr. Yahya. We hope to see you again someday!

A tour not to be missed.

From the Valley of the Kings and Queens, the temple of Hatshepsut, the temple of Medinat Habu, the Deir el Medina and the Colossi of Memnon every location was a WOW, absolutely stunning to see. But the icing on the cake was having Abdelwahab as our guide. His knowledge of the history held no bound so if you want a detailed tour he's your man. He was enthusiastic, entertaining and patient with our somewhat naive questions. Our top tip would be to wear comfortable shoes. It's a long but interesting day. We would totally recommend the tour and Abdel as your guide.

Must do tour in Luxor

This is a comprehensive tour that covers all the major attractions in Luxor. Our tour started at 6am as requested to beat the crowd. Our guide Mohamed Awad, a knowledgeable Egyptologist, came on time and helped us navigate through all the chaos at all the sites. He not only explained the history, he also helped with hierography interpretation which made every sense when we visited the sites. He was friendly and helpful with all the questions we threw at him. I highly recommend a guide and a driver in order to maximize your limited time. Viator has been very reliable during our visit.

Private tour with Abdulwahab & Ashraf was amazing!

If you’re tight on time and want an immersive tour, I highly recommend booking a private tour. Our guide was Abdulwahab, he’s a university graduate in archeology and Egyptology. Extremely knowledgeable in Egyptian culture. He explained everything in simple term and easy to understand. He was so kind, patient & really took care of us. Ashraf our driver was amazing too, we never had to wait more than 2 minutes for him to arrive to pick us up. They both went above and beyond to take care of us. Very very very happy with our tour today!

Great day on the West bank

We had a great experience on the West Bank with our guide Abdelwahab! He reached out the day before to confirm our 9am pickup the following day. He and the driver arrived a few minutes early! During the tour he explained Egyptian history in detail. For the valley of the Kings, tour guides were not allowed inside the tombs, so he explained everything outside of each so we knew had context going in. For the temples, he was able to accompany us and explain the hieroglyphs! Our favorite was Medinet Habu! Would recommend this experience!

I really recommend it.

They customized the location and duration of the visit to suit their needs. The guide explained and guided me carefully, and thanks to his presence I was able to travel efficiently, learning about the sights and historical background of each site, and it was a truly wonderful tour, even though the cost was reasonable compared to other tours.
