Discover Luxor's most captivating attractions on a comprehensive day tour that covers both the East and West Banks of the Nile. Accompanied by our expert Egyptologist guides from Luxor Egypt Tours, you'll experience the best of our remarkable city. This adventure includes visits to the Valley of the Kings, Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, Colossi of Memnon, Luxor Temple, and Karnak Temples.
Discover the awe-inspiring Temple of Karnak, the largest religious complex ever built in ancient Egypt. Located on Luxor’s East Bank, this vast open-air museum was developed over more than 2,000 years and dedicated primarily to the powerful god Amun-Ra. Walk through the magnificent Great Hypostyle Hall with its 134 towering columns, admire the sacred lake, towering obelisks, and intricately carved hieroglyphics that tell stories of pharaohs and gods. Karnak is not just a temple, but a monumental testament to the glory, faith, and architectural genius of ancient Thebes during the height of Egypt’s New Kingdom civilization.
Experience the timeless beauty of Luxor Temple, one of ancient Egypt’s most elegant and well-preserved monuments. Located in the heart of modern Luxor, this majestic temple was primarily built by Amenhotep III and later expanded by Ramses II. Dedicated to the rejuvenation of kingship and the god Amun-Ra, the temple features grand colonnades, massive statues, towering obelisks, and beautifully preserved hieroglyphics. As you walk along the Avenue of Sphinxes leading to its impressive entrance, you will feel the grandeur of ancient Thebes. Luxor Temple is especially magical at sunset, when its illuminated columns create an unforgettable atmosphere.
Uncover the secrets of ancient Egypt in the legendary Valley of the Kings, the sacred burial site of the New Kingdom pharaohs. Hidden within the golden cliffs of Luxor’s West Bank, this extraordinary UNESCO World Heritage Site houses more than 60 royal tombs, including the world-famous tomb of Tutankhamun. Descend into beautifully preserved underground chambers adorned with vivid colors, intricate hieroglyphics, and powerful scenes from the Book of the Dead. Learn how these masterpieces were designed to ensure a safe journey into the afterlife. The Valley of the Kings offers a breathtaking glimpse into the power, belief, and brilliance of ancient Egyptian civilization.
Discover the magnificent Temple of Hatshepsut, one of the most impressive architectural masterpieces of ancient Egypt. Built into the dramatic limestone cliffs of Deir el-Bahari on Luxor’s West Bank, this stunning mortuary temple was dedicated to Queen Hatshepsut, the most powerful female pharaoh of the New Kingdom. Its unique terraced design, grand colonnades, and beautifully carved reliefs blend harmoniously with the surrounding mountains. Admire detailed scenes depicting her divine birth and famous expedition to Punt. The Temple of Hatshepsut stands as a powerful symbol of ambition, strength, and innovation in ancient Egyptian history.
The Colossi of Memnon are two massive stone statues of the Pharaoh Amenhotep III, which stand at the the front of the ruined Mortuary Temple of Amenhotep III.
