It is 97 feet (30 m) tall. The unusual form of Hatshepsut's temple is explained by the choice of location, in the valley basin of Deir el-Bahari, surrounded by steep cliffs.

Wonderful tour

This was the best tour that we have done in Egypt. The guide Hassaan Elsaidy gave great interesting information, not just the same basic information that has been given by other tour guides that we have been with. Our driver George was a pleasure and great company. Hassaan helped avoid the crowds as much as possible and helped us pick great places to visit, tailoring the tour to what we wanted to do.

West bank tour

We had the option car+ guide+ entry tickets. Our guide Mohamed awad was great, he explained everything very well in easy to understand English. He gave us enough time to explore on our own. I would recommend doing the west side on one day and east side on another day if you have the time. Doing both sides in one day would be a temple overload, resulting in not appreciating everything as you should.

He was a very kind guide.

Hamees was kind enough to guide us and it was a smooth sightseeing experience. It was scheduled to take 7-10 hours, but only about six hours. I would have liked to have watched it more slowly.
