Wonderful driver!

I arrived in Luxor on an EgyptAir flight from London, connecting in Cairo. However, no matter how long I waited, my luggage never showed up. It turned out that my luggage had been lost. It took about an hour to complete the paperwork at the office. Thanks to our communication via WhatsApp, the driver waited for me the entire time. He greeted me with a smile, and that smile never faded until the tour was over. Whether it was turning down souvenir shops and lunch restaurants, borrowing cash in the Valley of the Kings, skipping a visit to Queen Hatshepsut’s Temple, or deciding to just view the Luxor Temple from the outside… I was truly delighted to have met such a wonderful driver.

Ahmed Kassem the best Egyptologist!!

Ahmed Kassem the Egyptologist was the highlight of our trip to Luxor. He has a great wealth of knowledge of all the temples, he was the perfect balance of giving information and letting us explore for ourselves. He was very thoughtful allowing us time to cool down during the heat, we had a great laugh with him throughout the day and we left with a great understanding of the history of this city and some great photos and memories. This guy was the best. Cannot recommend Ahmed enough. Absolute legend.

We love Ahmed Kassem!

Ahmed Kassem is the absolute BEST! From beginning to end, every moment was well thought out and catered for. He covered every highlight of the city perfectly and we can safely say it is probably one of the best sightseeing tours we have ever done. He is super knowledgeable, friendly, and easygoing. We would highly recommend booking with him!

Well, this is what it looks like.

Not that the driver in charge was to blame, but I was taken to a souvenir shop that I didn't ask for (there was a clerk who served free drinks and recommended them in fluent Japanese. They say $25 for a pair of eraser-sized canops), and lunch is taken to a slightly more expensive driver-arranged shop (700lb drink not included). I searched online before the trip and it said that Luxor could not use Uber and I was scared that I would not be able to catch a replacement indrive or Kareem, but when I got there, I was able to use the indrive comfortably so to be honest, it was useless. In-drive drivers have been highly likely to recommend a full-day charter. The market has always said something like 20 or 25 dollars a unit, not the number of people. If you are good at negotiating, I recommend you to use it.

No transfer to the hotel. No water.

I had a very, very bad time because the transport driver didn't take me to my hotel because he said it was close and that I should walk. At 44°C I got dizzy and almost got heatstroke!!!! Furthermore, no one (neither the guide nor the driver) provided me with water at any time!!! This is unacceptable and put my health at risk!!! On the contrary, the guide explained everything perfectly to me.

Incredible full-day tour of the East and West Banks with Khalid!

We had an amazing full-day tour covering both the East and West Banks, and Khalid was a fantastic driver for us! Traveling as a family of two adults and our young child, we decided to start the tour bright and early in the morning so we could arrive right at the opening of the places we wanted to visit. Khalid's car had great air conditioning, which is an absolute must during the heavy heat of Luxor’s summer! Even though he speaks just a little bit of English, we had really good conversations together and thoroughly enjoyed chatting with him. He was also super accommodating—whenever we needed bottled water, he always made sure to get some for us. Highly recommend booking him if you need a reliable, friendly driver for your sightseeing in Luxor!
