Great tour, good guide

Great tour with a knowledgable guide. The Car and the food were also very good. Stopped to a couple of shops as part of tour but not really pushed us to buy anything. The Only point that we didn’t like was that the guide was talking really fast and we missed some parts of his explanations.

A Thoughtful, Seamless, and Family-Perfect Luxor Experience with Guide Bahgat

We booked a West Bank and East Bank tour through TripAdvisor, operated by EMO Tours Egypt, and traveled as a family of four with our two children, aged eight and fifteen. At exactly 7:00 a.m., the car arrived at our accommodation. No delay, no uncertainty — just the calm assurance that the day was already in good hands. That sense never left us. As we crossed into the West Bank, Luxor began to reveal itself not as a collection of ruins, but as a living narrative. The Colossi of Memnon stood in silence, and soon after we found ourselves walking through the Valley of the Kings, then standing before the Temple of Hatshepsut. What transformed these places from stone into meaning was our guide, Bahgat. His understanding of ancient Egyptian history, culture, language, and even political structure was extraordinary. When we asked questions, he didn’t pause to search for answers — he simply spoke. At times, he read ancient Egyptian inscriptions directly from the walls and translated them for us on the spot, as if the past were still fluent on his tongue. What made this even more special was the way he included our children. He never simplified history into something disposable, nor did he speak over their curiosity. Instead, he met them at eye level, patient and warm, clearly driven by a genuine desire to show us more, explain more, and help us truly see what we were standing in front of. His passion was quiet but constant, the kind that stays with you long after the tour ends. After a craft demonstration and exhibition, we realized something rare was happening — no one asked us to buy anything. There was no pressure, no sales pitch disguised as culture. Instead, we were offered complimentary drinks, welcomed with kindness, and given access to clean restrooms. Having traveled through many countries and experienced countless package tours where shopping feels unavoidable, this respect felt both refreshing and dignified. Lunch came as a natural pause, not a disruption, and from there the day flowed seamlessly into the East Bank. Karnak Temple was vast and humbling, and Luxor Temple carried us gently toward the end of the journey. By 4:40 p.m., the tour concluded, perfectly timed — full, rich, but never overwhelming. Throughout the day, our driver, Mohamed Abul, ensured every transfer was smooth and unhurried. His steady presence allowed us to rest between moments of wonder, a detail that matters deeply when traveling as a family. One moment, however, defined the heart of this experience. Our son had accidentally left his orthodontic retainer at a restaurant. Without hesitation, Bahgat and Mohamed turned back and made the extra journey to retrieve it. No frustration, no sense of inconvenience — just human decency in motion. As parents, this meant more to us than any monument ever could. Even logistical concerns beyond the day itself were handled with care. When we had confusion regarding a hot air balloon tour booked with the same company, Bahgat immediately made a phone call and resolved it on the spot, quietly and efficiently, as if this level of responsibility were simply normal. By the time we returned, Luxor no longer felt like a destination we had visited. It felt like a place that had been explained to us with patience, generosity, and respect. This tour was not just well organized — it was thoughtfully lived. In a world where travel can often feel rushed and transactional, EMO Tours Egypt reminded us that the best journeys are guided not only by knowledge, but by humanity.

Ahmed the Italian guide...

Ahmed the Italian guide was just amazing. We learnt a lot and discovered even more. Luxor is already beautiful, but Ahmed's skills in taking pictures made it even more beautiful.
