Perfect Tour

Wow! Where do I even begin? From the moment we were picked up at our hotel, this tour was off to an excellent start. Our driver, Ahmed Saleh, was exceptional. So kind, professional, and incredibly attentive. The four-hour drive from Hurghada to Luxor felt seamless, thanks to his careful driving, well-timed stops for food and rest breaks, and overall hospitality. Upon arrival in Luxor, we were greeted by our Egyptologist guide, Abdul—without a doubt, one of the best and most knowledgable guides we’ve ever had. His deep knowledge and passion for the Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut Temple, and Karnak was unmatched. He truly brought history to life with fascinating insights, making every moment engaging and educational. Despite our long from Hurghada, his energy and passion for history kept us captivated throughout the tour. The experience was rounded out with a delicious lunch and a breathtaking Nile boat ride. Ahmed then drove us back with great music and drinks along the way! If you're considering this tour, definitely book it! And be sure to ask for Ahmed and Abdul when the tour company reach out on WhatsApp to confirm. I truly believe they made all the difference for us, elevating this from a great trip to an absolutely incredible one. Highly, highly recommend!

Private tour to Luxor

We spent a wonderful day with Magda and were informed in detail about the various temples, tombs and places of spending. The driver, Ahmed, picked us up early at the hotel and drove safely and quickly from one point to the next throughout the day. All in all a successful tour, we can recommend Magda and Ahmed!

Perfect Day trip !...

Perfect Day trip ! No waiting, perfectly smooth experience. You get your own car (Kia Grand Cerrato - Amed) that picks you up at the hotel and stays with you the whole day. So you can leave your backpack in the car. The (Spanish - Mostafa) guide was very good and gave sufficient info the whole day. We left at 4h55 and arrived at 9h15 at the first temple in Luxor. In the evening we left at 17h and arrived in the hotel at 21h. The car stops for a coffee and toilet break. The temples in Luxor are absolutely a must see. We had enough time to see the most important stuff, and even time to wonder around by ourselves. Entrance tickets for the temples cost about 40 usd per person. (included in this tour; I paid 280 usd for 2 adults) The boot trip on the Nile is included in this tour, other tours do not offer it. The restaurant included is not worth it. It's food, in an ugly tourist restaurant. Beware: I booked 2 other providers, paying 180 usd and 200 usd on Viator for 2 adults. Both asked more money after booking, so I cancelled them.

One of the best parts of our trip!

Amazing day! The drive is quite long but they stopped for toilet breaks on request. We weren't sure on the tombs and what was best to see but Ahmed our tour guide sorted all that out. The temple was amazing and then we went to see replica works being made. Lunch as the Paris restaurant was good and there was sooo much food! After that we stopped at the colossi of memnon which were huge! We finished on the Nile cruse which really topped off the day :) If you are thinking about booking, you should! It's a long day but 100% worth it! Also ask for Ahmed as your guide he was amazing.

A fantastic experience!

What a fantastic day! Our drivers Mohammed and Hamade were punctual, friendly and very helpful and the car was comfortable. Our guide Ahmed Eisis was great! He was incredibly knowledgeable and between the amazing sites and his wonderful "story telling" he made the history come alive. His sense of humour had us laughing a lot. Our boat trip on the Nile was a relaxing opportunity to chill after seeing so much. All in all an excellent experience and one that I would definitely recommend. Thank you Legacy Tours!

Brilliant trip

We chose this tour operator because the reviews were excellent and we were not disappointed. Pick up from the hotel was on time, the car was comfortable and Mohammed and Hamada, our 2 drivers were great. The tour exceeded our expectations because our guide Ahmed Elsisi was superb. He was really nice, friendly and very knowledgeable. And we laughed together. Clearly Ahmed wanted us to have the very best experience and we felt he achieved this. He also took 280 pics during the day on his phone and sent them to us afterwards, including me piloting the feluca on the Nile! A lot of information and explanation, but about the right level of detail for us. So you pay more for a private trip from Hurghada to Luxor, but it's really good value for money and we very much think we made the right decision for us. Recommend ... and ask for Ahmed as your Egyptologist.

A review that helps with your questions

I want to write something useful as there are loads of these tours on here and I picked it for the pictures not from any real insights... Right so on arrival to Egypt me and my wife got a ropey "luxury" transfer so I messaged Legacy tours, they sent me a picture of the car and ensured me it would be good quality, which I'm happy to say it was. Our driver Mohammed arrived a few minutes early to make sure we got our stuff in the car and explain the free drinks cooler in the boot and we were away by 5am. Mohammed was very attractive making regular checks that we were OK and even stopped a few times on the road to Qena so we could take pictures of the impressive sun rise. Once we arrived in Luxor we picked up Ahmed our tour guide outside Carter House and he was straight in to flow. His knowledge and his English were impeccable. The Valley of the King's was only a 5 minute drive from Carter House and having a guide with you through the markets at the entrance was a godsend. On arrival we were given a choice to the tombs we wanted to see, the standard ticket gives you access to 3 tombs but you can pay a little extra and visit more if you wish too. We opted to just see 3 knowing it will be a long day without adding time on. Your ticket will be marked every tomb you enter so my advice would be research the tombs you'd like to visit ahead of time. The tombs are busy so I would advise a selfie stick to get above the crowds and if you interact with the helpers they will break rules to get you some great pics but will expect about 200 Egypt pounds / £3 for the shots. It's well worth the money. On leaving the valley of the kings, having Ahmed was great, not only did he get us on the first buggy back, navigated the market and got our driver to pick us up directly outside. We were asked if we'd like to visit a company that still produces Egypt art in the traditional fashion. The guys encourage you to try the old techniques with no obligation to buy but it is hard to say no with the quality of the work. The next stop was Hatshesput temple, by the time we reached here the early morning sun screen had burnt off, this temple is the selling point of this tour but is 90% outside! Make sure you have sun screen, water and something covering you! Again here Ahmed, arranged the tickets, paid the buggies and wow'd us with his amazing knowledge of the temple and his photography skills. Once we had been through the tour we were given free time to explore. The buggies back from the temple were a bit hectic because these have a small charge to them less people travel up on them but no one was checking on the way back so it was a free for all. We headed back ready for lunch but we're given the option to stop at the colossi of Memnon on our way and wasn't disappointed! Next stop was lunch. We were taken to the Paris restaurant. We were given enough food to feed 4 between me and my wife. The food was great especially the courgette, tomato and potato. We spoke to the manager who was checking that everyone was happy and he pointed to the field opposite, saying everything on our plates came from there. Absolutely stuffed we headed to the Temple D'amon. This place is emence! With some of the best decoration on any of the tombs. By this time, I was starting to flag but we were a little early for our boat ride on the Nile so we were offered the opportunity to go to a papyrus shop. This was very interesting and all items in the shop were clearly priced so I was happier to buy some smaller pieces of work. Lastly was our trip on the Nile... this should be a sail boat the there was no wind at that time. Ahmed arranged another boat to take us out and drive the boat around 👍🏽👍🏽 At this point our amazing day was done! A long 4 hour drive ahead of us but being a private drive there is no embarrassment just falling asleep on the way back 😴 I hope this has helped with people's bookings as it was such a great experience!!!

Private excursion to Luxor

I recommend Legacy Tour . Very good organization and very good communication. Private tour of the Valley of Kings , temples and small boat tour. Our guide Ismail was top throughout the day. Discovery of Egyptian history with clear explanations and some humor. Lunch in a typical restaurant. Great day for us.
