It was a very great and impressive trip overall, but also very exhausting. The journey took about 6 hours and 6 hours back, which was really exhausting – of course the tour guides can’t help it, you should just be aware of that beforehand. For children, the excursion is rather less suitable, as it is very lengthy: long journey times, lots of running and a tight schedule. There were extremely many experiences in a relatively short time. We were on site around 7:30 in the morning and were already ready around 2pm. During this time we visited the pyramids, the sphinx, a perfume shop, a restaurant and the large museum. The museum in particular was incredibly exciting – there are very, very interesting things to see there. Just for that you could easily plan a full day trip. For history and culture fans it is absolutely impressive, but unfortunately there was far too little time for it. Time just ran out because we had to go back and everyone was really broken. We drove a van, the drivers were nice, and the air conditioning worked very well, which was really pleasant on the long drive – even if the distance overall is of course very long. A big plus was our tour guide who spoke German very well. As a result, the explanations were easy to understand and the historical background was much better understood. All in all, a very worthwhile excursion that offers many highlights, but also requires a lot of endurance. With a little more time, restructuring or leaving that out (like perfume shop - the people there were also super nice and hospitable ) at the individual stations it would have been perfect – therefore 4 out of 5 stars.

Early start from the hotel as we traveled from Hurghada. Everything was in time. Comfortable ride. Our host was Salma who was very informative and friendly throughout the tour. The museum, the paper factory and the lunch were great. To top it off the Pyraminds were amazing. All in all a wonderful experience made even better by FTS tours. Would definitely recommend them if you want to do sightseeing in Egypt.
