Be enchanted by the architecture of the Valley of the Kings and visit the temple of Hatshepsut, one of the female rulers of ancient Egypt.
- Valley of the Kings2 hours
Cross the Nile to the west bank to meet an extensive complex of 63 royal tombs. Valley of the Kings is where the golden treasures of King Tut-Ench-Amun are lying with his original accessories in his tomb. Look up and down the writings on the walled sides of each tomb which recorded the story of each King in the hieroglyphic language.

Best Luxor daytrip ever
We had an amazing day with our tourguide Achmed. He new a lot about the history and he gave us delicious snacks.

10 hours in a cramped minibus
This should be a holiday standout. It wasn't. 5 hours 50 minutes journey to Luxor from Makadi Bay, including a fiasco at the Safaga checkpoint that took almost an hour. Crazy driving, mobile phones at high speeds etc. And that was just our drivers. Little explanation of what was going on. Legroom on the minibus was awful. No Wifi. We arrived late in Luxor, the rest of the day felt rushed with the guide trying to make up time as the sights closed at 4pm. The Nile river crossing was the highlight. Underwhelmed by the other major sites. A 10 minute toilet break on the way back, turned into 40 minutes as both drivers disappeared to break fast (we assume) as there was no explanation given. A disappointing and exhausting non-event.

The tour is highly recommended and you got a lot of information. Shaban was a personable and informative guide. You could tell he's trying a lot. I would take him on another trip.

Everything was as descriped
Good trip. It's a completely different experience to see sights in real life than read about it. Minus: Early morning wake up (3:30): possibility to sleep in the minibus. Lot of sitting in the bus (many stops help that). Everywhere was traders begging. Lunch was quick meal in the restaurant. Plus: Magnificent attractions. Guide helps us with everything and was professional. She got us excited about egypt history. She also gave us something to eat. 10 points to her. Driver was also excellent. Pick up's worked. Travel office send every detail you should take into account. Fantastic exprerience. First time in Egypt.
