Karnak Temple Complex, the most important antiquities of the ancient Egyptian Civilization Karnak Temple is the largest temple complex of Ancient Egypt, the main state sanctuary of the New Kingdom. The ensemble includes temples dedicated to the Theban triad - the supreme god Amon-Ra, his wife Mut and son Khons. Located on the territory of ancient Thebes in modern Karnak - a small village lying on the eastern bank of the Nile, 2.5 km from Luxor. The Karnak Temple Complex, commonly known as Karnak, comprises a vast mix of decayed temples, chapels and pylons.
The Valley of the Kings in Egypt is the place where most of the pharaohs of the New Kingdom were buried, that is, from that time when ancient Egypt was an empire that extended along the eastern coast of the Mediterranean (the 18th, 19th, and 20th dynasties). It was there that they were buried, for example, Thutmose II, Tutankhamun, and Ramses. The tombs evidence elaborate preparations for the next world, in which humans were promised continuing life and pharaohs were expected to become one with the gods. Mummification was used to preserve the body so that the deceased's eternal soul would be able to reanimate it in the afterlife.
Hatshepsut's temple is one of the world’s most striking architectural masterpieces. The terrace Temple in the West Bank of luxor were built by the Queen Hatshepsuit . Hatshepsut (c.1473–1458 BC), the queen who became Pharaoh, built a magnificent temple at Deir al-Bahari, on the west back of Luxor. It lies directly across the Nile from Karnak Temple, the main sanctuary of the god Amun. Hatshepsut’s temple, Djeser-djeseru “the Holy of Holies” was designed by the chief steward of Amun, Senenmut. she was very beloved pharaoh from the people at this time .
Colossi of Memnon Two giant statues of pharaoh Amenhotep III, built in the 14th century BC. Colossi of Memnon are two massive stone statues that actually depict Pharaoh Amenhotep III, not Memnon. For the past 3400 years, they have stood in the necropolis of Thebes, on the other side of the Nile River from the modern city of Luxor. Two statues depict the seated Amenhotep III (c. XIV century BC). His hands are on his knees, and his gaze is directed east to the river and the rising sun.

Thank you to our guide Naschaat Obaid Saad who is unique to us Thebes ( Luxor ), with a lot of dedication and knowledge. The day was a single experience with one highlight after another. Also our children could not get out of the astonishment ( 12 and 16 ) and were super involved by Naschaat in the tour. He brought us closer to Egypt that day! Thank you from our children: Quote "Nashaat showed us the best temples and made us laugh. It was very nice, good and we enjoyed it a lot." We would also like to commend the drivers, they picked us up on time and led us to the sights. We would definitely do it again and can only recommend the trip !

We had already booked this VIP excursion (5 people) with German speaking guide in Germany. The reviews were excellent and we can only confirm it! Perfect organization, super nice and safe drivers (2), an amazing guide and we learned a lot! We were written to via WhatsApp three days before (in German) and well informed. We were picked up from our hotel in Marsa Alam at 3:30 am. In an air-conditioned minibus with a drink supply and a very nice driver we went with a stop (toilet/coffee) towards Luxor/Valley of the Kings. After about 4.5 hours we picked up our native Egyptologist Malek, who spoke perfect German and made this extremely hot day (43 degrees) an educational and unforgettable experience, thank you Malek! We visited the Valley of the Kings (3 burial chambers incl.), the Temple of Hatchepsut, the Colossi of Memnon and the Temple of Karnak, took a ride on the Nile and enjoyed the delicious and sumptuous lunch menu. We were totally impressed and thanks to Malek learned not only a lot about the ancient Egyptians, but also about the country and people of today. Around 9pm we were back in Marsa Alam. The price was more than worth it! We were totally done but still all very happy that we made this trip! Thank you Memnon travels and again vieeeeelen thanks to Malek!!! Our trip with Memnon travelling to Luxor was a real highlight of our Egypt holiday. The hotel pick-up worked smoothly and we were brought safely to Luxor with a comfortable air-conditioned minibus and two drivers (journey time about 4 hours from Magic Life Club Kalwang). On site we were accompanied by a German-speaking guide who was not only very competent, but also responded to our children and explained the story in an understandable and exciting way. The program was perfectly organized: • Visit to the impressive Karnak Temple • Lunch on the Nile followed by a small boat crossing • Visit to the Memnon Colossi • Exploring the Temple of the Dead of Ramses III. (Medinet Habu) • Continue to the Valley of the Kings with a visit to three tombs, including the tomb of Ramses III. Despite the great heat in August, it was an unforgettable day full of exciting impressions. The organization and support were excellent – we can absolutely recommend this trip!

Fabulous , everything was perfect we left with the agency around the dunes that we contact by whatsapp very easily. We asked to also do a balloon flight and so we left dhurgada over two days. Departure very early , visit Karnak with a fantastic guide who explained to us a lot of things however he advised us for 10 euros more per person a felucca ride on the Nile ( nice) with so-called stop on an island where there are monkeys etc ( very average and we stayed 10 minutes) . We also ate fruit , melon mango banana that came from the banana plantation of the island. Then lunch in a very mediocre buffet but as everywhere. Stop at the Colossuses of Memnon for photos. Finally valley of kings with visit of three tombs , with colorful hieroglyphs everywhere. Beautiful! Then move to an alabaster factory store. We didn't buy anything but we were well received. The guide also sold us cartridges, made with our first names. Very nice too. 15 euros each. Then we were dropped off at the hotel that we had booked in Luxor for the departure by balloon the next morning at 5am. You really have to get up early but it’s magical. You can see the sunrise then the n daylight is beautiful. Finally we were taken back to the hotel for breakfast then back to hurgada around 1pm.
