Excellent day you won't regret!

We booked this day trip, 2 adults and 1 child (Nov 2024). It is an early start but the mini bus provided was so comfortable and the guide provided cold drinks and regular comfort breaks throughout. The trip its self was everything we could have wanted. Harbie is very knowledgeable on egypts history and local issues. We really felt looked after. When out with him he told local venders we were with him and we didn't get approached as much. He guided us through the day and made the experience one to remember. Thank you Herbie, the 2 drivers and Memnon for providing this trip!

Valley of the Kings day trip

We had an excellent trip. I’d recommend it to anyone. Our driver Michael and guide Harbey were great. An early start to the day but well worth it.

Luxor day tour with Harbie & Michael from Memnon Reisen

A fantastic day with Harbie, our guide, and Michael, our driver. Michael is a phenomenal and highly skilled driver who understands the complexities of 'egyptian driving' whilst safely getting us where we needed to be in double quick time. He also gave us endless drinks and brought us ice creams, we felt very well looked after. Harbie, our guide, was just fantastic. He gave us a comprehensive history lesson in the car before we arrived so we would understand where we were going and what we would be seeing. He escorted us through Karnak with knowledge and grace, explaining everything and answering all of our questions. We were given time to explore on our own before being taken for food and then a boat trip across the Nile. We were met by Michael, who drove us to the Colossi of Memnon, where Harbie explained the history and the story. Next, onto the Valley of the Kings with Harbie pointing out all the sites and history along the way (the workers village, Howard Carter's house etc) The Valley of the Kings is just incredible, and Harbies knowledge really made it come alive, again we were given time to explore and enjoy the site. We then went to Hatshepsut Temple, the site is awesome, Harbie explained how it came to be and how it has been rebuilt, we explored before returning to Hurghada. Harbies enthusiasm for sharing his knowledge of Egypt, old and new is captivating and enjoyable. (Harbie also doubles as a photographer, he makes sure to take pictures on your phone of you at every site, we weren't too sure at first but everything he said was true about us wanting them in the future! He's not bad either!) To conclude, these guys know exactly what they are doing, it's a finely tuned experience which we very much enjoyed and would recommend to all. They were extremely accommodating to us, we appreciated their patience and kindness. Book with them, you won't regret it.

Recommended - Very accommodating guide and driver

I can only recommend the tour with Memnon to Luxor. We chose this tour, as it has a private guide and transportation to Luxor. We were picked up very early in El Quseir (4:30am) but this was definitely the right decision as the temperatures in Luxor are still very high in October and it is a long drive from the Red Sea to Luxor. The car was a newer Toyota Corolla, which was comfortable for the long drive over sometimes rougher roads and lots of speed bumps. Our guide asked if we like to go to the Valley of the Kings first, because it gets so hot in the afternoon. This was definitely a good suggestion, because even in the morning the valley is hot and inside the tombs it is even hotter. Also Karnak was almost empty in the afternoon, while still bearable temperature wise. So the spontaneous replanning of our guide was a big plus. We were given ample time at each location to explore on our own, while our guide gave us a lot of interesting information, without being overbearing. All our requests were respected by the guide and the driver. For example: My wive gets seasick very quickly, so the boat trip was out of the question. This was no problem at all and we simply took the car to the other side of the Nile even it meant a bit of replanning. So to summarize we had a wonderful trip and felt very well taken care of.

Lasting experience

Transport, 2 drivers who drove us very skillfully. The German speaking tour guide Nashder in Luxor joined us and gave us an incredibly interesting account of Egyptian history. I've already experienced several tours here, but this one was the highlight!!! You can't do better! Overall a lasting experience.

Luxor - with truly exclusive & sensational guided tour

From the pick-up, to the drive to Luxor, the company there by the absolutely knowledgeable and remarkable guide, Naschaat Obaid- such an incredibly knowing person (!), the food in the restaurant & the return journey, a great experience. We have always felt very safe and enjoyed the explanations, even on the road, from the drivers as to country, people and customs. Our guide to Luxor, Naschaat Obaid, was outstanding! We would have wanted to follow his remarks for days! Whether explaining hieroglyphics or why and why, of historical and secular contexts - he could explain everything in a unique way. We are thrilled & give 100% Recommendation. We simply trusted his assessment of the rush and influx of tourists - that's why we were always there before the big run on the sites! Thank you!!!
