Overview

After visiting the Pyramids of Giza, visit the Great Sphinx, by far the largest surviving sphinx. It consists of a human head on the body of a lion. The Sphinx was carved from the remains of a limestone hill that served as a quarry for the Great Pyramid of Cheops. Felucca cruise on the Nile is available for a fee.

What you'll see

  1. Hurghada
    Pass by

Around 4am you will be picked up from your hotel. Upon arrival in Cairo, you will be met by your guide who will accompany you throughout the tour.

  2. The Egyptian Museum in Cairo
    2 hours, 20 minutes

Meet your Egyptology tour guide at the museum to begin your day. Visit the state-of-the-art Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM), the world's largest archaeological museum with over 100,000 artifacts, or the Ancient Egyptian Museum in Tahrir Square. Select your preferred museum during the booking process.

  3. Grand Egyptian Museum

  4. The Pyramids Of Giza

The further course of the excursion takes you to the great pyramids of Cheops, Chephren and Mykerinus. The tour of the pyramids ends at the Sphinx and the temple surrounding it. At the end of the day, if time permits, you will have the opportunity to go shopping before embarking on the return journey to Hurghada.

  5. Khan Al-Khalili Bazaar
    1 hour

If the return flight from Cairo is late in the evening, we will spend some time visiting the London of the Middle Ages (Khan el Klalili market), Old Cairo, recently added to the UNESCO World Heritage list, or Cairo Festival City, an extra-large shopping mall (air-conditioned), one of the largest in the Middle East. Full of the most famous international brands, restaurants, cafes and a huge colorful dancing fountain, where you will be drawn to Cairo's chic, modern nightlife.

  7. Cairo
    45 minutes

If we have time, we can make two characteristic visits to the Papyrus Museum and the Essential Oil Factory. These two attractions will familiarize you with the ancient Egyptian techniques of making papyrus and essences. These two interesting visits will increase your knowledge of daily life in ancient Egypt and will also be helpful to the Egyptian farmers who work in these sectors and preserve these very old handicrafts from ancient Egypt. (These visits depend on the time remaining.)

Truly a wonder

Amazing experience, our guide was fantastic and kept us right, I wish I’d have remembered his name a lovely, friendly, genuine wee man and very knowledgeable. Beware of the guys with horse and carts at the pyramids, only tip at the end of the trip and no more than 200 Egyptian pounds they will try to get tipped early then demand more when you stop, that aside, it is truly a wonder of the world, we chose to fly from Hurgada to Cairo, the bus alternative is 9 hours each way. Fantastic day though worth every penny.

Worth the money wy, a must do trip.

Fab day out. Everything ran smoothly from beginning to end. Ahmed was a great guide and gave many useful tips to ensure we didn't overpay for souvenirs. He was very knowledgeable and good fun. We had time to see everything we wanted and weren't rushed at all. Lunch was OK, but there could have been a better choice for veggies. The view of the pyramids while eating was a great bonus. We were a small group too which was nice. We would definitely recommend this trip.

Good.

It is a unique experience I came to Egypt, especially for those who are a fan of the history of the ancient people. This is the third time I'm here.

A great day, unforgettable.

A top excursion with very good expertise from the archaeologist and one of the leading Egyptologists Dr. Mamdoua Osmann. Also everything else ,from pickup to finish everything to our liking.

Worth seeing, fun

If you want to visit Cairo, this is the right place. We arrived quickly, and after the flight we were also received relatively quickly. After that, the fantastic trip to Giza started just unbelievable! Just get involved, it’s a spectacle to see something like this in real life – incredible! Take patience and lots of perseverance with you! It will be exhausting but unique and worth every drop of your sweat. Our tour guide as well as the driver were super dear and great people.❤️ Thank you for this day.

Everything went smoothly from start to finish. Hotel pickup to plane flights, all excellent service. Our guide, Fahmy, was great, very knowledgeable, and friendly. It's a long day as there is so much to see and do, but it's so worth it. Memories to last a lifetime

Amazing

Fantastic! A must to see while in Egypt. We were well taken care of by our tour guide Fhami - he even gave us some tips what to avoid and not to do while in Egypt and took great photos while on the boat on the river Nile. Really enjoyed the whole trip: the visit to the Piramids of Giza, camel ride, lunch at the restaurant, visit to the Bazaar in Cairo, boat trip on the river Nile. Would do it again.

Fantastic Experience

This was the perfect day from start to finish. Early pick up from our hotel at 4am, flight at 6am in Cairo and met our fantastic guide Fahme by 7.30am. This leaves a full day in Cairo to see and do everything with plenty of time at every stop without having to rush and have everything explained to you in depth by Fahme. From walking through the old quarter, spending quality time in the fantastic Egyptian museum, the boat ride on the nile, the perfect lunch in the restaurant overlooking the pyramids to actually getting to the pyramids having the camel ride then plenty of time to explore on your own. Then moving on to the Sphinx. Altogether a fantastic day led by a fantastic guide in Fahme. I would highly recommend this excursion as by flying to Cairo from Hurghada gives you so much more time to see this City. Thank you for brilliant experience
