Well organised, very personalised trip with a wonderful guide

This was a great trip. Easy to book, good communications and a really personalised experience. We travelled to Luxor and back on a large bus, then 4 of us joined 2 guides (Italian / English) in a mini van for the trip around Luxor. We had English speaking guide Leila, who was wonderful - kind and considerate, fun and informative. She found cool shady spots to give us the tour information along the way and she really brought all of the sites to life for us. And what sites!! So much to see all in one trip, the long travel time and early start is totally worth it (we slept most of the way there). Lunch and water is provided and there is plenty of opportunity for toilet stops. Bring money for soft drinks, small toilet fees and tips. A small tip is very appreciated and there was fantastic service wherever we went. Do pay the extra €10 for the boat across the Nile. There was just our group on the little boat and it’s a fun experience and a lovely breeze in the heat. Wear light airy but covered up clothes to protect from the heat and sun. A hat and sunglasses are a must! Bring breakfast and snacks for the long journey there and back. We would 100% recommend this trip with this operator, you will not be disappointed.

A day in Luxor

Having already been in Cairo with the Enterprise last year and had the best experience, we were very much looking forward to the trip this year and our expectations were exceeded. I have already booked through the website from Germany. Communication then took place via WhatsApp. For the excursion we were a small group of 4 people. The daily routine was very well organized; the German-speaking tour guide explained everything very well. Individual wishes were also taken into account. The trip is really highly recommended.

Excellent trip, well worth the time, effort and money.

Overall, well worth the time and money. 4:30am start and approx. 4 hour journey from Hurghada to Luxor. Our two drivers arrived on time and we had two toilet stops on the way, which was fine. Worth noting to take plenty of small Egyptian pound notes (20s, 50s, 100s) for toilets and tips. Boat trip was extra £10 sterling per person but was nice to travel down and across the river for the cooling breeze. Having read previous reviews we were really hoping to have Leila as our guide, and so we were delighted when she popped her friendly face into the minivan to introduce herself. Leila was just as we’d expected, friendly, extremely knowledgeable and speaking clear fluent English. As well as giving us the historic facts, she helpfully gave us advice about what to expect and who to interact with and who not to before entering and leaving the attractions (e.g. give entrance tickets to first person then ignore second guard and police who would otherwise engage with you, offer to take photos and expect tips- they can be very pushy). We weren’t particularly interested in going to the alabaster factory, but actually the family run factory was fun to see and their skills were impressive. They made everyone feel welcome and no pressure to buy anything. Journey back to Hurghada was slightly shorter as we had one less break. Overall, a long day but priceless to see these historic places in real life, and learn the stories behind the country, culture and people of ancient Egypt from the brilliant Laila. Highly recommend.

Great informative fun trip.

Lovely drivers, great guide. The sites are worth the drive. Particularly enjoyed the tombs, the trip down the Nile and Karnak temple was fascinating.

Worth your time and money

The tour was excellent. Hitting the highlights of Luxor and the valley of the kings and our guide Laila was very knowledgeable. At times it felt a bit rushed but this is more down to the amount of ground you need to cover in a certain timeframe to see as much as possible. Karnak temple is Hugh and you could probably spend half a day there alone. The valley of the kings includes entry to the tombs BUT make sure you pay the extra to enter King Tutankhamen to see his burial chamber and mummy, highlight of the tour for me.

Varied day in Luxor and surroundings!

We had a lovely and very interesting day in Luxor. Booking was straightforward and everything worked out smoothly. We were a small group of 5 people and our guide was Mega. We were given a lot of information but also the fun was not neglected. Lunch was delicious and the boat trip across the Nile provided variety.

Completely successful tour with Khaled and the Book Tour Egypt Team

Super tour with Khaled as tour guide. Just the right mix of information, fun and space that you can explore things on your own. Also praise to the team. Top organized. Don't be deterred by the cash payment, all serious. We also booked a trip to Cairo and can recommend Book Tour Egypt

Luxor

Experience to do at least once in a lifetime. Tiring, even for the temperature, but our guide Giuseppe was also very good looking for shade when he had to explain things. He accompanied us in Egyptian history with competence and professionalism. Plus his Italian is perfect.

Very nice.

A little feedback on the excursion to Luxor. (3rd excursion) - A mini van (Toyota Hiace) picks you up at the foot of the hotel around 4/5am (don't forget to ask for a breakfast to take to the reception of your hotel the day before departure). - You will pick up all the participants (max 8 people) and you will leave in the direction of Luxor. - You will take a break of about 30 min to go to the toilet and have a coffee.. Arriving at the temple of Karnak, you will meet the guide of the day. Generally, everyone starts by visiting the temple for 1 hour and with 30/40 min of free time to take the pictures...then heading to the lunch nearby. or the optional Nile ride for 10 euros / person.. frankly, do it.. Normally there is a visit to the banana island... but for this time nothing at all... it's a shame. A buffet restaurant where drinks are payable in supplements (1.2 or 3 euros/soda). It is optional (payment in euros, dollars or Egyptian pounds cash or CB). Visit the Valley of the Kings, visit the 3 tombs for free if you took the option... A mandatory visit to a seller (descendant of the Pharaohs it seems.. ) And we'll finish with the beautiful temple of Hatshepsut And return to Hurghada for arrival at your hotel around 9:30 pm (after 1 stop on the road). To summarize, a good organization, a very nice guide. Usually the other occupants speak the same language as you .. Well, there, the band was not great... no communication, no exchange, which is a shame, but nothing to do with the organization. Drivers at the top, nice guide, but who was juggling between an English group and a French group.. you could see he was in a hurry.. It's a shame..otherwise very good organization. The agency will confirm the terms 48 hours before via WhattsApp. Thank you so much!

Magic day

Unique experience, made even more special by our guide Giuseppe, who with his enthusiasm in describing each site, transformed a cultural trip into a moment of family sharing. I take the opportunity x also greet the wonderful family who traveled with us cheering us with their good humor and beautiful smile! Thank you all!!
