Successful first trip to Alexandria

What a great day! 😎 The drive to Alexandria was already absolutely relaxed: Ahmed was a calm, level-headed, and extremely pleasant driver who mastered the roughly three-hour drive on the desert highway with confidence. With him, you never had the feeling that Egyptian traffic rules might be understood more as non-binding suggestions. 😄 In Alexandria, Mohammed, my local tour guide, was already waiting – and from that point on at the latest, a nice excursion turned into a truly great experience. Fluent English and Italian (and probably a few other languages that he just didn't mention out of modesty 😉), enormous knowledge, plenty of wit, and above all the wonderful ability not to simply recite history, but to convey it in a lively and entertaining way. Mohammed guided me through Alexandria with a lot of enthusiasm, patiently answered my questions, and created just the right mix of well-founded information, little stories, and humor. It became especially amusing when he decided at some point to put my knowledge of hieroglyphics to the test. 🤓😂 I don't know who of us two had more fun with this spontaneous test – but let's just say: A thoroughly entertaining little competition developed between the tour guide and the guest. 😎 You can simply tell when someone knows their city, enjoys their job, and wants their guest to take home not just photos, but also beautiful memories at the end of the day. And that is exactly what was achieved: I left Alexandria with a big grin. A big thank you to Ahmed and Mohammed for this completely successful day. Driver and guide were a real dream team – I would book the excursion exactly the same way again at any time. Clear recommendation!

Highlights in Alexandria

We really enjoyed the trip with our guide Mohammed and the driver Ahmed. Mohammed has deep and extensive knowledge of archaeology. His English is excellent, and he is friendly and humorous. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour. Ahmed drove us safely and skilfully through the challenging traffic. Lunch was also excellent, with fresh fish and a beautiful view of the sea. All in all, this was a highly recommended tour.

Trip to El Alamein

We booked this experience through viator for a trip to El Alamein and tour of the war cemetery and war museum. From pick up to drop off, our guide Karim was amazing. He pointed out many sites along the way and answered any questions we had. He was an amazing guide and explained everything well at both the cemetery and museum. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a great guide to Alamein. Very highly recommended.

Fun time in Alexandria

I had a great tour of Alexandria yesterday by Mohammed. We toured several sites and he was very knowledgeable about the area. He is a local and you can tell he loves the city! Don’t miss the chance to take this tour. My hotel was outside the area so they did ask me for an additional $20 for the drive.

Great guide and driver made our trip The Best!

We loved our Trip to Alexandria from El Cairo with Ramasside Tours! The communication was clear (They may send you WhatsApp messages after booking)., the driver (Ehab) was excellent and the guide (Mohamed) helped us understand everything we were seeing and was very easy to be with. The fish lunch was delicious, as was the ice cream! I would use Ramasside Tours again in a heartbeat - but I would book through their site, not Viator or Trip Advisor. Ehab also went above and beyond - we stopped for coffee on the way there and the way back, he told us about the places we passed on the road between El Cairo and Alexandria and he shared yellow and red fresh dates and Mongo with us! Amazing!

Good tour to Alexandria...

Good tour to Alexandria from Cairo. The tour guide was cool and quite knowledgeable about the city and its history. Unfortunately, I cannot remember his name, but the vibes were good. The drive is about two hours away and well worth the different experience from the rest of the country.

An Amazing Day Trip to Alexandria From Cairo!

Our day trip from Cairo to Alexandria was absolutely amazing from start to finish! I want to start by giving a huge shoutout to our driver, who was wonderful. He was very friendly, smooth and safe with his driving, and incredibly talkative and informative. Even on the drive from Cairo to Alexandria, he kept us entertained by telling us about the monuments and history along the way. Once we arrived in Alexandria, we met our tour guide, Mohammed, and WOW—what an incredible guide! He was extremely knowledgeable about every place we visited. We explored the Alexandria Library, Catacombs, Pompey’s Pillar, the ancient Roman sites, St. Mark’s Cathedral, a mosque, and several other important monuments. We also drove along the beautiful Corniche, saw the Mediterranean Sea, watched people fishing, and saw the beautiful palaces and historic sites along the coast. Mohammed truly brought Alexandria’s history to life. His knowledge was unbelievable—I honestly felt like a historian by the end of the day! 😂 He was kind, patient, attentive, and made sure we understood and enjoyed every part of the experience. We ended our amazing day with a delicious seafood meal overlooking the beach, which was the perfect way to finish the tour. Everything was included in our package, and the entire experience was well organized and stress-free. We are extremely grateful for this experience and especially for Mohammed and our wonderful driver. They made our day in Alexandria unforgettable. We will absolutely use this company again and highly recommend them to anyone visiting Egypt! 🇪🇬❤️ Thank you, Mohammed, for making us feel like we were traveling through history rather than simply taking a tour!
